OLD SCHOOL FRIED SQUASH AND YELLOW ZUCCHINI
This is my absolute favorite way to eat squash and zucchini
Very simple and easy
RECIPE:
2# yellow squash
1 cup buttermilk
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cup all purpose flour
Season squash with salt and pepper
Add to buttermilk and let set for 30 minutes
Remove from the buttermilk and dust with flour
Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy
Enjoy with ranch dressing or even ketchup

my favorite way to have crook neck squash and yellow squash is to slice them short-ways/coin shaped, lightly steam them then melt good quality cheddar cheese on top. A little salt and fresh cracked black pepper... tastes like summertime. My dad always had crook neck squash in the garden every year. I'd love to try it this way.

Glad I found your channel! I love squash. My gf didn’t like it until I grilled it thick (just cutting it once lengthwise). I’ll try frying it this way and see how she likes it! Thick is the best way to cut ‘em. I’m excited to try this! Cheers from North Carolina!

My mother and grandmother just friend it sauteed in skillet with oil and onions garlic powder and seasoned salt.this looks so good and my mom's dad also fried squash and pumpkin.They had fried pumpkins in the fall with butter and sugar or syrup when they didn't have sugar that was world war 2 and they had biscuits and 🥓 bacon on 🌞 Sunday mornings before they went to Sunday school.
