How come every character jumped to the conclusion the text book must belong to ladybug herself? It didn't occur to anyone that maybe ladybug FOUND the textbook and was intending to give it back to its owner or something? Surely that's easier to believe than Ladybug is in middleschool and doing homework on the job
It’s the basic of investigation, don’t ignore any clue no matter how minor it seems. If you’re looking into the identity of a masked individual, any distinct item they are seen with is a potential clue to their identity.
A lot of the season 1 episodes are lacking in overall narrative, but the main reason for that (I think) is because during this time, we're still getting to know the characters. Once the characters have been established (i.e. towards the end of season 1 and into season 2), then we start advancing the story.
I think that is some huge bs, and not a great justification for the lack of a decent narrative, since Gravity falls only got a single season and still managed to make deep characters with a great story. Even preschool shows like The Lion Guard managed to estabilish their characters in the first episode and started advancing in the story on day one... the lackluster generic episodes of season one exist because Zag does not now how to develop a story without backtracking every five seconds for the show to grant a million seasons. It's not that they're awful at telling a story, they simply want to take as much money as they can of their most famous IP before doing so.
@@nothinginteresting7558Gravity Falls is overrated. It's just that the tone is more edgy than Miraculous, so it's less noticeable that the plot are actually pretty mid. The only thing making a real quality difference is the character. They are less generic than in Miraculous. And also Gravity Falls famously avoid seasonal rot. While season 2 Miraculous is way better than season 1, Gravity Falls most low are mosrly in season 2 despite being very good épisode. A thing that Miraculous take a lot of épisodes to go so unbalanced
@@storybuff4939Even then, as I said, The Lion Guard is a show that develops a progressively deeper plot and villains ever since season one and makes all their main characters three-dimensional without the need to watch any of the Lion King movies previously. Even though the story is suited for a preschool show, they never backtrack plot points or make a fake conclusion every season(as in, Adrien and Marinette discovering their true identity in some random ass paralel universe for the thousandth time). If a show made for 3 year olds respect their fanbase more than a show aimed at all ages, then it's clear that ZAG is indeed doing something wrong
I just wonder. where did Marinette keep her textbook? Why did she have it while being transformed? How didn't she notice she dropped it? The textbook is just a forced plot device that to bring our main characters to the museum. Atleast it's acceptable in season one.
And her handbag always disappears when she transforms and then reappears when she de-transforms, so if it was in her backpack then it would’ve disappeared as well no?
The French dub is the one that got the original Egyptian history romance right while other dubs does not get it right. French dub Pharaoh is the only one who got the Egypt history right. The ritual is real in the show. So the Pharaoh was right that it will work.
It says on the wiki "In the French version, the Pharaoh is Akhenaten and the Egyptian Queen is Nefertiti. This rendition of names is considered the canonically accurate version.".
Totally. Every villain who can make a slave army is already very powerfull, but this dude can also fly, be super strong and make slow motion bubbles, to trap the heroes hin and defeat them one by one.
generally i always thought that chloe should be the one who operates ladyblog and wants to find out ladybugs identity, cause it always struck me how alya possibly finding out ladybugs identity was not consequencial.Cause we all know that if alya found out ladybugs identity she would keep it a secret cause they're friends, having chloe in that spot however would actually feel like some sort of danger that could lead to some consequences, plus it would make more sense that chloe wouldn't understand he consequences of what could happen if she did reveal who ladybug is cause she's spoiled and always got what she wanted, but at the same time her finding out ladybug's identity + her character arc could give us some interesting plot of chloe becoming friends with marinette and trying to be a better person like she did in despair bear, cause it would be cool to actually see her struggle instead of just magically becoming nice. And i expect her to have similar issues to sunset shimmer from equestria movies cause it did such a good job making the consequences of one's acton visible even though the movies are about the power of friendship
Agreed, Alya can be some sort of reporter if that's what the show wants, but Chloe should definitely be a blogger. Even without the "ladyblog", considering her parents Chloe could've been some fashion/luxury blogger with posts about LB to get more clicks and views.
Love this. I had something similar for an au where Alya was Ladyblog and Chloe had the Noirvlog or Chatbook or something along those lines. So the two had a kind of rivalry. But I like this
Question, wouldn’t it make sense for characters in the show be already planned what their character is going to be like, before the show actually begins being made? Wouldn’t that make more sense, instead of thinking of it going along? Just me?
@@staydetermined6717 Sometimes they don't know if they'll even get a second season so they don't plan ahead. But after that, you have probably seen multiple shows that say 'well, we'll have these characters for a while, let's do our job!' They'll add things or improve stuff they pre-planned but didn't use before. MLB doesn't want to do that.
@@riel4553 Wouldn’t it make more sense to go ahead with what’s planned with that character? Get people interested in that character and if they want to see more of said characters development? Or is it just me?
To me this episode is quite memorable because of how many times i have seen it re-air on TV and because Vic Mignogna voices Jalil Kubdel i really miss hearing Vic in new voice roles such a amazing voice actor and amazing person
It's still problematic even if Alya only wanted to know Ladybug's identity for herself. After all, she could get Akumatized, and then she would have revealed her identity to Hawk Moth.
This was one of few episodes I really like in Season 1. To be honest I believe the creative team didn't know what they were doing because I watch this show in the correct episode order and Season 1 didn't have an overall plot. The story elements were pretty all over tge place until Season 2.
The thumbnail confused the heck out of me- Edit: I actually didnt forget about the pharaoh, but that could be because I watched season 1 alot in the past
I don’t think Marinette was holding the book, when I watched the episode the way I Remeber understanding it is that her bag kinda fused with her suit and somehow she left her “suit pocket” open?? Idk it didn’t make sense at all but in season 1 they didn’t fully have the powers and continuity figured out hence why we saw Alex’s “miraculous” watch break.
Hi! Just a video idea, couod you do a video with every plot hole in the show? I was just wandering how many there are......becs i always find more in every episode rewatch.....it's impressive
as an Alix stand on a rewatch of this episode, I realize how fucked up her family really is. but I have theory about this. What if he wanted to bring their mom back because we’ve never seen Alix‘s mom only ever seen her dad and she looks nothing like her dad or her brother. Who agrees with me?
It’s really dumb how Ladybug is the ONLY hero that doesn’t really change her physical appearance when transformed. Other hero’s at least change their color palette or their hairstyle. When I was first watching the show, I thought that the heroes changed their eye colors to match their Kwamis. Plagg has green eyes, so Cat Nior has green eyes. Tikki has blue eyes, so Ladybug has blue eyes (and it so happens to be the natural eye color of Marinette). That theory completely went out the window when I saw Alya still having her natural eye color when using Tikki. Even then, at least she changed her hairstyle.
@@GardenPedro-lj5li What video? I just started subscribing to Miraculous RU-vidrs. Sure, their personalities are different on the surface, but after a while, their personalities mesh more and more. Also, they constantly slip up on who they could be through out the show, but whenever that happens, the characters are all of a sudden really dumb.
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions, To be honest, i think the Ladybug/Tikki Reveal about how long they’ve existed, might be the only thing this Episode has for itself.
I'm a big ladybug fan but I've always wondered though how come no one can tell marinette is ladybug cuz same hair style same voice the mask barely covers up her face and Marinette is never in the same place as ladybug and she just so happens to disappear when ladybug appears aaliyah didn't figure it out even though she's Marinette's "best friend"
For the looks they just explain it with 'magic'; but for the voice! "Ladybug" aka un-transformed Marinette has talked to people from behind a wall and they still can't figure out it's the same voice.
@riel4553 well I still think it's horrible writing and character stupidity but then again the show ends up with worse writing later on also you missed my other points I was trying to make also using the magic Excuse is pointless cuz this applies to any superhero with a mask that barely covers their face and I'm including aaliyah in this too cuz she's supposed to be the closest one to Marinette yet she can't see pass the mask I'm just saying for people who are close to Marinette should be able to figure it out I'm talking about her parents too but then again there probably too stupid to tell that it's obviously there daughter but anyway I think I've said enough negative things I want to talk about the positive things like the stuff that might happen in season 6 if they do make one I hope the show doesn't get canceled
i have a funny theory....what if, alix's mother turned into a mummy or something that made jalili want her back...so thats why hes like this...i know hes creepy in all...but that could be his reason.😅
1:54 I completely disagree. The animation in season 1 wasn’t amazing but it was much better than what we’re getting now. The movements were much smoother and less stiff. Also there was much less errors (do I need to remind you of the animation error in Quiliion where Marinette’s eyelashes were completely gone?)
huh.....considering this is supoused to echo the motives of hawkmoth/the plot as forshadowing for the future(considering gabe is trying to bring back his wife) the comments you make about thedude being asual and bringing up the situation of the historical figures like stuff about it being a mom/step mom gets real interesting considering nathalie, gabe and adrien.
I'm sorry... i cannot get trough S1. It's just TOO DAMN EPISODIC. Like... Hawk Moth doesnt have any depth to his character... you BARELY get to know the world and the lore... the foundation to build upon om future seasons WAS NOT THERE IMO
