I'm super stoked for Adali to get to enjoy this little dome. She seems like a real sweetie. Anyone who sleeps in that dome is going to have some seriously restful sleep (cozy too, with that adorable tiny wood stove!) and I imagine it will feel like a hug sleeping in there. :)
I would have thought I died and went to heaven if my family built me a little dome room of my own as a teenager. It's gotta be the cutest thing I have ever seen and the cubic mini wood stove is icing on the cake!
Darlings, you are a beautiful bonded family.... I see lots of respect fir everone, incuding the animals. It warms my heart to see family values still exisit.... Love you my beautiful friends .... blessings darlings......
The tiny stove is adorable, the little bottle windows are adorable, the 8” bags around the stove is adorable, the cat on the roof is adorable, and Ashley fawning over Jonathan in that new hat is the MOST ADORABLE!! 🥰 ❤😂 Love you all and Happy New Year!🎉
I just happened by this video and I am fascinated! Not only is it an amazing endeavor, in a seemingly very remote site with gorgeous views…but your family works together like a well oiled machine (or good editing😉) and your camera skills, editing skills are so professional! Ya got me now!
Aww thanks! Make sure you start at the beginning of the build to see the full workshop build of the main structure :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sh23xCatrlM.html
Have you heard anything about using the tops of the bottles you are cutting for air conditioning? Sounds weird, right? I googled: natural air conditioning with bottles. Most of the search results use plastic bottles (more plentiful) however, since the mechanism that cools the air is not the material of the bottle, but the shape; you should be able to use the tops of the glass bottles. I have also seen models that use terracotta tubes embedded in an earthen wall. This is a different mechanism using evaporation. The bottle tops use air compression. Yes, this is for outside spaces, (I have not figured out a way to use it indoors yet) Anyway...it's just a thought...Namaste.
Interesting concept! When you do your testing, could you please let us know the results? This might be beneficial to a lot of builders. Thank you very much!😊
Or they could tumble the broken glass in their mixers and turn it into beach glass. Be beautiful as topping for gardens or even embedded into finished stucco or in the walkways
Love that your friends found you a classifier set to sift. I really should have thought about them for you, I just think of them for finding semi precious and precious gems.
Love how the kids can work and play at the same time. The bottles look wizard, Adali!!!! I can understand how the outback hat makes it difficult for Ashley to concentrate on her work!!! lol Love you guys!
Loving Adelaide's short hair, you do have helping, yet fun loving children who seem helpful with building your various buildings. Great parenting I'd say. Your cowboy hat most suitable in your climate. I'd be using an umbrella for protection. Always fascinating structures you create. Must be fun learning then creating. 👀🎉🎊🇬🇧
The Little dome is absolutely adorable....❤ The wood stove is so cute 🥰. Ashley you and i have something in common, I noticed you really enjoy a man with a cowboy hat and pick ⛏️. 😂😊👍. Happy new year's
Am I going crazy or has The Mandella Effect hit me. I SAW the little wood stove in the third previous video. Am I going crazy darlings ...... I adore watching you building these fantastic structures.....
I'm impressed with your rapid progress in covering this dome's surface. It is looking really good so far. I'm hoping that the plaster mix adheres consistently for you.
That is one freaking cute dome! What til the fireplace is installed. Adali might have to share her cozy spot when the two legged or four legged family wants to get warm!😆🤣
Way to go guys! Love your channel and your music! Have you ever seen Familia Sagrada church in Barcelona. The way they work with stained glass and light is amazing. Greens and blues on the east side and oranges and pinks on the west side. It is stunning. Check it out. What you’re building is your own sagrada familia
I love the bottle windows! Very colorful. Have you considered crushing the spent bottle tops? Separate them by color and build a wood framed glass box to enclose them. Might make an interesting window.
Have y'all ever thought of melting down that leftover glass for glass-blowing??? I bet y'all would be good at that. Someday in the future, maybe it would be a craft you might want to try!!!😊🎉❤
@@TinyShinyHome yes, I’ve seen that in construction/homes, but because of this design specifically, to me it looks like actual lids. Deep set eyes. But yeah, officially “eye brows”
HI 👋 Great productivity in Today's vid .... Loved it 😊 amazing how chill the cats are 😊 Love it....Great Build...Great Kids...Great Dogos...Great Cats😊
LOVE the little wood stove. It's adorable. My favorite bottles are the blue ones. They look gorgeous when the light goes through them. I'm not sure I want to see the episode where you have to tell the cats that the mini-dome is not for them. Those are going to be some very sad kitties. Lol😅 I especially like the way one cat was making sure the top of the dome was done right. Good thing they are there to make sure you do everything properly. 😂
If you have a second wheelbarrow to set up under your sifter you can save yourself some time and effort. Even more if you make a sort of wheelbarrow shaped funnel on the underside that makes sure all your sifted material ends up IN the wheelbarrow 🙂
Seeing you guys leaning out from your baker scaffold makes me worry about it tipping over. I was wondering if something like round steel concrete stakes imbeded horizontally in the wall would support boards to work from. Two stakes per board would make a level place to stand, place buckets and easy enough to finish around. Then when done, pull them out and plug the hole, or use it to run a power cable outside. Hope this helps.
From the day you pulled your shiny home on wheels onto the homestead to now have you considered doing a mural into a wall with bottles to design art that replicates your shiny home on wheels, a chicken or cat, etc.? Also possibly a mosaic into the cob of cactus, etc.? I did mosaic art on a coffee table of the wilderness with clear poly filler over it and did a bear mosaic over my fireplace with tiny tiles and broken stain glass pieces (blue for sky, green for grass) with my grandkids and still love it even more now that they are older.😊
If you recycle the bottleneck parts you will be able to create an area with natural air conditioning. Eg an old fashioned cold room. If you tape the wide ends together and use it in a wall, the wind will blow into the mouths of the outer bottle neck, cool off in the wider part and blow cooler air through into the room. (this is the type of building my grandparents used as a cold room, drying biltong in Namibia - although they used clay bricks with gaps inbetween, )
Who’s going to be the one getting or should I say squeezing in to get the plaster on the inside of the fireplace dome? I think that’s a job for Ada. Or maybe train one of the cats. 😂 Nice job! It’s looking great.
Good morning hope you guys had a nice Christmas out there Happy New Year's too and I know you guys doing wonderful job keep up the good work how you guys going to get all that work done on the house and stuff that's a lot of work you guys all right you guys have a great New years and the rest of the Year and God bless you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Would putting another wheel barrow on the other side of the big sifter save you a step by eliminating the need to re-shovel the earth in to the wheel barrow? Or do you only have the one barrow?
that woodstove... incredible cute. i did miss the link to it somehow?? question: aiden showed that plastering tecnik only 2 steps. 1 on the rift, second pulling up. creates a vacuum. he said.. ashley is pulling it down and generally more sidewise and more often ( inside). is that done purposefully or just.... im doing it my way as i always did.. dont know if that destroys the minivacuum. one way or the other that dome is very cute and niice. on the inside it might also make no difference.
You may want to check out microwave kiln for fused glass art or jewelry with the bottle necks... They are inexpensive kilns you can use in a microwave.
It’s coming along beautifully. The shape is much more defined now too,it should be cool in the summer and warmer in the winter too which is great, but if chilly on a night the dinky little stove will be so nice and cosy in there too.Its a beautiful space.I think it’s going to look amazing ..Love n Light to you all 🥰
Didn’t Hayden say to apply by forcing in with a little fling motion and push up? Wouldn’t that be the same inside? Try and see if that makes sense. 😊 I adore the little stove!
