Loved every ounce of this. Watching someone as skilled as you push yourself "in public" is dope to see. It's humanizing and shows that you're never too talented to learn something new. There will always be something worth learning from the next person. Also, I play the bass guitar and love watching drummers do their thing. It's that rhythm section bond. Whenever I play a gig, the first thing that I do is help the drummer set up their kit. As soon as the gig is over, I'm also the first to help with breaking it back down, packing it up, and carrying the bags to the car/truck/van/wherever. Nothing but respect for you and all the drummers of the world!
