Plant Medicine Intention & Integration Guided Journal: www.etsy.com/listing/16549691...
If you're planning on taking part in an Ayahuasca ceremony, it is SO important to take care of and nourish your body throughout the ENTIRE process - before, during, and AFTER your Ayahuasca expereience.
In this video, I'll go over the post-ayahuasca diet in detail and explain how you can best nourish and support your body after working with such a powerful plant medicine, in a way that will best support your physical and overall healing and transformation moving forward.
This video is specifically talking about the diet AFTER your ceremony. I do have another video where I talk about the pre-diet, and a video where I discuss additional tips and insights for your ceremony. Feel free to check those out. I’ve linked them both below.
Let me know if you have more questions about ayahuasca (or anything else)!

Thank you Danielle. I watched your “what I wish I would have known” video first. I was fortunate to have had a shaman who prepared me very well with regards to the content of that video. However, other than a general sense of wanting to be healthier, most of this information I did not get. So thanks again!

Hi Danielle, thank you so much for your videos you have much more in-depth information than I have heard before. I am interested in the CBD because mother ayawaska told me it is an important medicine for me to take. I have done many ceremonies and found taking it just before drinking the medicine seemed to stop my mind from bouncing around and I had what seemed to be a much smoother experience. So I was interested to hear it was something to cut out!

Although it's recommended, if you've worked with it before ceremonies and it's been helpful I'd say honor your own experience! Or you could test it out and see the difference with and without :) And thank you SO much for your sweet comment! I'm so happy you're finding the videos helpful ❤

LOVE your videos. Wish I had watched them before my first ceremony this weekend. My question to you, Danielle is I wasn't able to keep most of the medicine down. Because of that, should I assume there was no ayahuasca absorbed and therefore do not need to continue with post diet? Also, if you have any tips on how to ensure keeping it in your system at least one hour, I would love to hear as I am definitely going to go again. Thanks in advance.

aww thank you so much for your sweet comment! 😆❤ And ohh such an interesting question! I've seen that happen a few times, when guests had a hard time keeping the medicine down. So first things first, it can actually help to bring a toothbrush and just dry brush your tongue/swish water in your mouth and spit the water out (don't swallow it). This helps for people who have a really hard time with the taste. Beyond that, taking slow, deep breaths can definitely help. Make sure you remain seated and don't lie down. You can even do a little visualization of the medicine merging smoothly with your body. Hopefully some of those ideas help ☺ In terms of the diet, you will still have absorbed some ayahuasca, and her spirit is definitely with you no matter what. So it's really up to you, but I would recommend still trying to eat clean and as whole-foods based as possible for about a week ✨

That's great, thanks for the info. I did do breathing but it wasn't until the last dose second night I could calm myself. Def got some homework to do before embarking on the next ceremony. As for taste, I actually love it, and lucky enough to get some flash memories of that unique scent. Thank you so much for your sage advice. Also when you said dont get drunk again....is this forever or just post diet? @@daniellerateau

@@tayllasa2296 omg, you're lucky that you love the taste! 😆That definitely helps. And I completely understand not being able to calm yourself initially. Thankfully, going into your next ceremonies you may be able to get to that space more quickly since you've done it now. It helps a lot to practice meditation and breathwork in the days and weeks leading up to the ceremonies as well! In terms of alcohol, you definitely want to avoid getting drunk during the post-dieta phase (for a few weeks afterward). In terms of "forever" this is, of course, totally up to you. I don't drink that much anymore, but that's because I've recognized that it's what's best for me personally. Just honor yourself 😊

thank you so much for this information. Thank you for sharing. what can I do if I’m on keto diet or lets say carnivore.. ?
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau Год назад
Hi love! Thank you for your comment and for watching 😊 So for keto or carnivore the good thing is, you're fine to do chicken or fish afterwards (just make sure it's good quality). Eggs are also ok. I would definitely avoid red meat and pork for a bit though. For keto specifically you can get back into dairy pretty quickly (within a few days), and non-starchy veggies, nuts and seeds, avocado, berries and oils like avocado and coconut should be ok. If you google a vegetarian keto diet and then add fish, chicken and eggs to that it should actually have a good amount of options!

What is your take on Bread (and similar) and Pizza (and similar). I assume these fall under the Fermentation category? Thank you for your video!
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 7 месяцев назад
Hi! You're so welcome and thank you for your comment 😊 When it comes to bread I think your best bet is to avoid anything super processed. Also white/refined grains and bread. But whole grains are great and even something like sourdough is probably fine after a few days. To be honest I've even seen some retreat centers themselves serve bread. With pizza I would definitely wait a few days or up to a week (especially for the cheese) and also to avoid anything too processed.

I don’t think you mentioned smoking tobacco/nicotine. I feel like i already know.. but can you give me your insight on that? :)
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 11 месяцев назад
Oh my gosh I can't believe I didn't mention that 😆 It's interesting because oftentimes shamans will use mapacho (sacred jungle tobacco) in the space of ceremonies. That is actually considered to be quite a powerful, protective plant. But it's still important that it's not abused, and mostly used in a ceremonial setting. As for cigarettes, we would recommend staying away from those because of all the added chemicals.
