I love this song. She has the perfect voice for this song and lyrics are just amazing. So true to the world we live in today with being fed this life is so beautiful until you walk out your door and see what the real world is. She just puts the world into lyrics and the crazy world we live in today. I love the fact she writes her own lyrics and have not heard a bad song from her. We have some critics however we all have our own beliefs in this life.

This song moves me at a deeply emotional level and I have no idea why...

Her voice is perfect for her music...nuanced, rich and full of harmonics, and attention arrestingly powerful. The band is a wonderfully supportive match to her growls and shrieking cries. She and the band accompany and frame each other as a symbiotic unit and are a well oiled machine...a Wall Of Sound that could teach Phil Spector new lessons on the meaning of the term that it's been thought he invented. I confess that The Pretty Reckless is for me a recently discovered and newly acquired guilty pleasure. However, I must also admit that the pleasure does come with some guilt accompanied by some dissatisfaction. Although I appreciate how well they've mastered their personal musical niche, I leave the experience with some aftertaste of the aggravation that comes from tedium. The pervasive theme of rebellion, particularly against religion and the prevailing religion of the west, eventually rings hollow. While in private conversation The Pretty Reckless might reveal some positivity that fuels aspirations that give them reason to wake up each morning (or afternoon), that wall of sound signals little more than a raised fist of opposition. The Pretty Reckless is another example of railing against a church, its theology and its symbols which Momsen and company would have to invent if they weren't already conveniently at hand as grist for shock and awe. While their sound can overwhelm and exhilarate, their trappings and affectations are eventually parodies of themselves that are revealed as contrivances and ultimately silly, undermining the scariness that all the mascara, eye shadow, power chords and theatrical embracing of darkness try so hard to maintain.

The writer of this song for sure saw for a moment the greatness and the emptiness at the end of every vain effort we ever did.

One of the things I like the most about The Pretty Reckless is that they write beautiful melodies, which sound absolutely amazing in Taylor Monsem's voice.

Talent like this is more than just amusement, the ability to make people cry when they need to is equally important as the ability to make them smile, and Taylor can do both at the same time.

I absolutely love this. What a song. Lyrically as well as instrumental. Everything just works here. This is the type of music I myself would love to be making.

I showed this song to my teacher and classmate in first period. Our teacher wanted us to do a song project that has to do with our identity, and I picked this song as my first choice. After listening to it with the whole class, I told them why it fits into my identity while telling them what this song is talking about, but I ended up crying in front of everyone since this is the most emotional song I ever listened to. It may be embarrassing for to cry in front of my classmates, but at least it's worth telling them my feelings about this song and how it fits into my identity.

I really like this song! At the risk of sounding "emo" (if people are even still using that word) I've always been fascinated by the idea that death is not something to fear and is instead much more peaceful than life.
