Despite the bad setup, this was actually one of my favorite pricing games. It was really fun and challenging. I am disappointed that it is not on the pricing game rotation anymore but that's life, I guess.
WOW!! ROBERT GOT EXCITED WINNING A $6,000 BEDROOM SET!! ALL THAT JUMPING UP AND DOWN & RUNNING ALL OVER THAT STAGE TO THANK HIS MOM!! WATCHING THAT CLIP MADE ME THINK THANK GOD THEY DIDN.T PLAY 'JOKER' FOR A CAR!! IF THEY PLAYED FOR A NEW CAR-ROBERT WOULD HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK & FAINTED!! AGAIN WOW!!
🌝My all-time favorite parts of the bedroom prize presentations, since I was 16, were the nightgowns that the 'Barker's Beauties' were wearing!!😍 😍HUBBA HUBBA!!!😍
@msnickalasha awwww Thank you!!!!!!!! It really was a life long dream!! I had been watching since I was 6 years old. I was only able to watch when I was home sick from school or on vacation. I was itching for my 18th birthday. We got there and they weren't taping. So we go for my 19th Birthday......I WASN'T CHOSEN. My 20th Birthday...the post office lost my tickets and my mother had to work so I had to request tickets FAST and pay extra to fly out there. IT ALL WORKED OUT! I WAS PICKED!
bigblue999 Joker is also kinda like Secret X as well, sure I can see why some people hate this game because I saw in a British version "Bruce's Price is Right " one contestant got all four picks but did not discard the Joker.
I saw that happen a few times in the US, too. The contestant should be rewarded with something (not just small prizes) if they know when the price is right. This is why they added the bonus for Half Off.
You're darn right. Just like 5 Price Tags. You could get all 4 picks and STILL lose. And Plinko is another example. You could get all 5 chips and STILL WIN NOTHING. That's happened once.
@@JonesDylan874 Well, not exactly nothing-- on 5PT and Plinko, you did win the smaller prizes that were priced correctly (whether true/false or correct choice of number), even if you didn't win the car in the former or any money in the latter.
@presidentdiddy Every now and then you do......but my moment was one of a kind :) I did not expect to be one of those crazy contestants thats called first and be the last one to get on stage!! I wasstressing the whole show! I was sooo out of control my uncle came down during the commercial and said " ROBERT YOU NEED TO CHILL OUT......SERIOUSLY!!!" I was seriously buggin! lolz
HEY EVERYONE!!!!! THIS IS ROBERT!!!! THAT IS IS ME YOU ARE WATCHING WIN THIS BEDROOM!!! I just found this video and I'm laughing hysterically at the comments!! I will respond to all of them :)
Just saw this today, 10 years after the video was posted. Congrats on your win. Your joy at winning was infectious. I was very happy for you. Some contestants make a point to put on a show when they get on stage, you came across as somebody who was nearly overwhelmed with genuine excitement and pure joy. If somebody is going to go crazy on stage, I don't mind when it's authentic. And you were authentic. Congratulations again, hope you're doing well all these years later.
@ZumaZoom07 LOLZ!! OMG LET'S NOT GO THERE!!!!! If I was offered a car let alone win one.......I think people would've gotten hurt and I would've had to be tranquilized. My cousin says I would've just passed out right there on the stage. My uncle actually said " I'm glad you didn't win a car cause lives would've been in danger " :) So I get teased about it..but in a good way.
I do wonder if one issue with Joker was finding small prizes that were compatible with the game, without it being too easy (For example, a $19 prize would have choices of $19 or $91, and the contestant would have to be pretty dim to say $91 for say, a travel bag or something).
@1906tpir LOLZ!!! I got some sugar in the tank huh :) I was soooooo excited to be there!!!! You should've seen me outside in line. I was bouncin off the wall and I didn't eat or drink anything. I was just happy to be there. I was 20 years old then. I'm 29 now!
@erikdraven1731 Yes Mom has the prize it's in the guest bedroom of the basement and reall did come in handy cause we had just moved into our house 4 years prior to me winning it and we needed it cause we knew we were gonna need another bedroom at some point
Drew Carey disliked it when he took the reigns. He didn't like the fact that a contestant can play perfectly and still lose by just bad luck. (Although he was able to forgive that notion with other games like "5 Price Tags" and "Secret 'X'")
@Joshuaguss I think you're very rude and disrespectful. It doesn't matter if I'm gay straight or whatever and when it comes down to my mother...She was NOT embarressed at all. She was there to support me and she was thrilled to be there to watch me fulfill my dream of being a contestant on the show, meeting Bob and taking home a nice prize. Stop talking bullshit!
You were shown a smaller prize, and had to determine the correct price by order of the digits (is the hair dryer $25 or $52?), like you would on Master Key. A correct choice won that prize and a choice of one of the cards to eliminate; four prizes were played in that manner. The problem with this game is that you can play the smaller-prize portion perfectly and eliminate four of the cards, yet lose because the Joker was not eliminated (the goal was to eliminate the Joker from the hand); such a failure occurred quite a few times over the run of the game, and here is one of those times, from the broadcast of Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nqZ4qi3gA_0.html
@srbforlife hehehe....It really shouldn't matter if I'm gay or not. What matters is that I was a very excited, happy and hyper contestant that fulfilled his dream on being on the show. Yes it really is me....If you don't believe you can check out my facebook default.....just look up Rob Jose and there I am
@Princeroadj i dont think you're homosexual, i dont know if you really are but i dont think you are, i probably would have done the same thing if i was standing on the same stage as bob barker, and i dont even know if you are really the guy in this video, but i guess ill never find out huh?
