One of England’s leading Evangelists Rico Tice has told of the pain of being 'de-platformed' for speaking clearly at Gafcon five years ago, 'but it was a privilege because I was being faithful to Jesus.'
Rico says ‘The bishops, a lot of them have thought, “if we cut the price more will buy, so we have to give way on human sexuality,” to which our response is no. no. If you do that, and say "there are blessings to be more acceptable," then what happens is that the Holy Spirit departs.’
‘And as we know in evangelism we are totally dependent on him, for blind eyes to be opened. So we will see the Church of England decline and decline unless we are faithful.’ he says.
Rico says, after warning at Gafcon five years ago, of the Spirit's departure for an unfaithful denomination, 'I was no-platformed by universities, schools and even parliament, because I had made statements that were clear that the only place for sex was between a man and a woman in marriage.'
'We have to be faithful and we mustn't be afraid of what the consequences are, and if we don't do that the Holy Spirit will depart.'

Rico Tice and the Word 1-2-1's Richard Borgonon came to Kigali to call the church to go out with the word. “The power is in the word," said Borgonon. “God is active outside the churches, and we have an entire army of Christian believers who should be taking the weight off those in ministry - and spreading it out into the world.”

Asked to tell stories of people coming to Christ, Tice begins “ I think of an older guy called Andrew who started coming with his son, who got married at All Souls, and who said when he got baptised at all souls, 'Gosh my eyes got opened to Jesus’
That is, as he had Christ presented, particularly by his son and daughter-in-law, his eyes were opened. It the miracle: he says ‘I was blind but now I see.'”
