The problem with Brawlhalla's "regular" skins

Haven't spent a single penny on this game and now have every character unlocked by just playing ranked for hours . And I just get skins and taunts from watching E sports streams .

The one thing I will say is that I do think spending money on the skins is still worth it, because the brawlhalla skins are genuinely amazing. I've seen a few games use real money to buy cosmetics, and it's kinda obvious that the only reason for it is to make extra money (as the cosmetics are usually very low effort), but the brawlhalla ones actually have time and effort put in. Yeah, you could get skins for free, but I'm not going to lose sleep if Dark of Night Lucien becomes free tomorrow because I would rather my money go to the devs for the work they put into creating that skin.

That is something that scares me, buying a regular skin so that everyone can get it for free later, something to mention is that another type of skin can be event ones, such as Christmas or Halloween since those if it is very unlikely that they give away free, they have the same price as a regular skin

I've bought alot of skins with the collectors pack cause I love this game, and especially cause I wanted to get the exclusive event skins. I have 500 coins left now and I'm waiting for valentines event skins

if you really love a skin,buy it. plus you support the devs and the game as a whole

This analogy is flawed simply cause people aren't gonna wait for 2 years for their skin to come out for free. I spend money on a skin now, cause I play that legend now. It doesn't bother me that my skin worth 5$ is now free after I've had it for years. 5$ is borderline nothing and I've gotten the satisfaction from the skin I've bought

I just buy the battle passes because the skins are usually really nice and the added """quests""" make the game more fun. The fact that some of the things like evolving skins and podiums are still completable after the battle pass is also really nice

I have 4 Brynn skins, and only one I "bought" is Aurora tier 85 Brynn skin.

I've only intentionally bought 2 regular skins and that is Koji (the one you get from amazon prime RIP) and the newest Lin Fei skin. Other than skins I bought are from battle pass, Asuka crossover (RIP queen nai katars nerf wep skins still lit though), shin sekai koji, and skins from gacha chests (2 out of 4 are worth 200 mammoth coins)

about the metadevs, small mistake. you do actually get an ingame title for “og metadev owner” something like that so the value is still there, its just not in the skin anymore

Which skins should you buy, if you wanted it? -Seasonal skins will probably never be free somewhere -Battle pass skins (same reason) -Epic skins (same reason) -Crossover skins (can you guess the reason?)

havent spent money on the game and can confirm they give 300coin skins away, i won the tomb raider crossover during their leap year clip challenge so can confirm this

Yeah, they sometimes give crossovers like: hellboy and some others in their discord server

BIG TIP HERE if you want a cheep skin like the epic or crossover ones buy the bcx bundle and the winter bundle and autumn bundle (if you have them) there like 8.99 for 300 mammoth compared to having to pay 12.99 for 360 mammoth coins if im right. But in the end YOU still help them out in the long run just my two cents. (and yours too)

Typhoon i have to correct u on 1 little thing. BMG does give alot of codes to partnered creators including crossovers. Also streamers like senketsu and voldaz have given crossovers out before. And people like eggsoup, planet micro etc. Have hidden some crossover codes in past videos.

Respectable video. My only hope for Brawlhalla is that they do something with the mammoth coins. Instead of always having to buy them every time we want something in the shop. Why not if we win a battle online we get like 7 mammoth coins each time we win?. For Example: Ranked 1v1, Ranked 2v2, that one session thing beside ranked 2v2, strikeout 1v1, and friendly 2v2. If you and or you and a buddy win a match in one of those I listed you win 7 mammoth coins each time you win. And if you lose. You and or your buddy just gets 1 mammoth coin. Now if you was to KO yourself every time you would go into a match just to get that 1 mammoth coin. You don’t get any. You have to actually battle it out. And yes, match players with the same rank lvl or very close and not for Ex: (Gold Vs Diamond) They drop a lot of things in the shop such as skins, emotes, crossovers, etc. I can believe there are most people who really sees a skin or something that they like in the shop and really wants to get it. But has 0 mammoth coins or a little bit short of how much whatever they are trying to get cost. So the only way to possibly get more mammoth coins is to buy them. I don’t believe that many people or even kids who play this game may not want to spend money every single time. Just to get the M coins to get a skin. Maybe some of them don’t check the Brawlhalla Twitter, Instagram, RU-vid, giveaway, etc and they just simply play the game. I do know a couple of skins in Brawlhalla now that I would love to have. But can’t atm. RQ I did have this in mind. But for every new players first time playing brawlhalla automatically gets 150 mammoth coins. That was just a suggestion. But That’s basically all I’m really trying to say here is I really hoped that they can do something with the mammoth coins. Maybe I am the only one who just wants this feature to get put in. But that’s ok. And if there was a reason they can’t put this in the game at all then let’s us know.

the skins are only like 5 dollars and waiting until one of your main gets a battlepass/viewer rewards skin, let alone a good one will take a long time

I don't see why anyone would be scared of any skins going free because of esports. I'm just happy my friends and my opponents have the same skins I love, I love using skins and I love the game. Keep up the great content man this is really high quality stuff

I only buy skins for my main and I bought all of her skins, especially the limited ones, and the rest I get from the battle pass or leftovers from when I was rolling the chests for my main (yumiko btw)

I buy my skins with the mammoth coins that I get from the Battle pass and see if a skin that I like is in discount, but if there is none then I buy the ones that I really like

diamon player here since season 2 , i when F2P until the battlepass was announced, didnt buy any skin but the battle pass are pretty good, For everyone there Remember Brawlhalla is a F2P game, and you dont need to buy anything, but if you like the game a lot, and want to support the devs, the skins are not by anymeans a scam, (the bsttle pass is pretty good, if you are a constan player, and the legendary skins are pretty good to) remeber 1 skin comes with the skin for the weapons, so you can even use it on diferent characters for ending, is still a option, if you dont have the money, or just dont want it, dont buy it

all the stuff on Ebay are being put in giveaways and just a week and a half ago I decided to keep joining streams to try and win giveaways and my brawl acc I have payed 0$ on it and its worth 10+ dollars already like lol metadev skins, E sport colors, weapon skins, old prime gaming bundles everything literally its not fair for others tbh

Brawlhalla definitely overpriced everything but atleast the compensate for that, they give away free items from their streams

I think the skin thing is highly depening on what you play I for myself brought the Kunoichi Val, if it ever goes free than so be it I enjoy playing on it so I don't remorse it. If I play a main char, or I want a special weapon look, I have no problems buying a skin for it to then use it x months before it may someday go free, or not.

i actually get my skins off of ebay instead of the mallhalla to be real! theres a dude on ebay named paco 57 i believe and hes super legit, i keep finding myself buying from him lmao. hes trustworthy and i always get my codes within a few mins or the very next morning
