I dont know why, but Cristina or Gina or even both should've been apart of the group. There was no reason for there only to be 6. No it just feels like there's a whole in the group, the chemistry seems off like there's something missing. Despite that, I hope they had a good debut.

i honestly have no problems with this lineup. i do think gina or crisyina should be here instead of kendall but im not gonna hate kendall or jyp for this. the girls did well

I think one problem with this lineup is that the American gp like mature concepts, this wouldn’t be a problem but then you realize that this group literally CANT do those type of concepts because of kaylee’s age

I don't mind the final lineup, to be honest I didn't have any favorite, but I agree that Cristina & Gina should've debuted as well. But it's totally useless & mean to insult Kendall just because she was taken & not the other two girls. She worked just as much & in the end it's JYP who made de decision. Now.. Personally, I don't really like the name Vcha, it's boring & hard to pronounced.. Plus to be honest I feel like the group won't be that popular.. Like you said, they are lacking chemistry, & Idk I feel like the hype is gonna die pretty quickly now that the show has ended..

i have to agree about the contestants that tied them being eliminated really did change the group’s dynamic. i must admit it is really weird seeing camila without cristina. everyone knows those two were besties. and gina was even ranked as most favorited by the other members. but i think it’ll just take some time. jyp honestly should’ve just debuted them as an 8 member group instead of 6. also, for a global girl group, to have their debut stage on kbs and not like an american show like good morning america or something is really odd. but i guess they’re trying to build their korean fanbase to ultimately have a stepping stone into the US. but its just so weird

I find it weird how JYP wanted to create an american girl group but still made the group so that it would only catch the attention of korean fans. They do not cater to the american audience AT ALL

I just wish melissa was there because of how soulful she is with her lyrics and how open she was about her trials. It would've been interesting to have that in kpop.

I don't think Kendall has strong, stable vocals as JY Park makes it out to be (it's a bit shaky), but she's not the worst singer. Fans hating on Kendall need to chill out though. I think Kendall's strong suit is definitely her stage presence with powerful, eye-catching facial expressions for sure! I believe it could have been all 8 girls though (especially seeing how much Christina improved and how talented our girl Gina is!)

Listen I understand why Yuna got eliminated, and I LOVE Yuna, but she had the same issue over and over again, was not improving as quickly, and honestly towards the end it seemed like she lost her spark and drive and was getting really discouraged. I want to be fully transparent, I did not start off disliking Kendall and do not want to dislike her because one she is a kid and two it is not her fault that JYP is like in love with her or something. But it is so unfair how strict he is being towards the other girls when Kendall keeps not singing in her full voice and she sounds quite nasally. Now this wouldn't be an issue if he was holding all the girls to the same level and critiquing her the same way. But to call her voice perfect when she was unstable or her voice was cracking is really disrespectful to the other girls who worked just as hard and sorry, but did better than her. And its also unfair to Kendall because he's not giving her the critique to improve and she's going to develop this bad habit and the fans will notice and it is just setting her up for failure! I did not see much growth from Kendall overall in the same way I did Yuna, in which they kept repeating the same mistakes and were at about the same level of dancing and singing from the beginning towards the end of the show. The only difference was that Kendall got a lot of praise while Yuna got a lot of criticism, which you can tell impacted both girls differently and ultimately led to the outcomes. At the beginning, I understood what he meant about Gina being somewhat robotic but I really truly believe she overcame that towards the end and that's why I'm in shock she did not make it. Gina was so much fun to watch on stage and she is honestly more talented than Kendall, so the reasoning simply does not make sense. How do you get better when Gina was already starting really high and improved in everything that was asked of her. Cristina was also extremely talented and fun to watch! So my question is, if it's about trajectory should people who are already really talented not bother joining? For example, Camila is already so talented with her voice that there isn't much to improve so in that logic she shouldn't have been chosen because the trajectory for growth isn’t as high as say Yuna’s. I'm not saying I think Camila shouldn't have been chosen but I'm just saying that their reasoning is faulty and they can't justify it because it came down to favoritism and they have always favored Kendall. I hope she has improved a lot and she doesn't get too much hate but JYP all the hate Kendall is receiving is because of you and your inability to be fair and treat all the girls equally. Sorry just had to rant and say my piece lol.

they might work with a younger demographic. the music sounds like something i'd hear on radio disney or something. i don't see myself like being a hardcore fan or anything, but it'll be cool to watch them grow as they get older and more experienced.

I really don't like how JYP's view on Kendall is attracting hate to her. She's a sweet girl, even comforting her teams. But the ranking decisions are definitely unbiased in every episodes, that I can't argue

jype immediately realized back then that it was a mistake to let the audience choose the members after Momo got eliminated in Sixteen, so it's good that they themselves chose the members this time. Also the fact that Kendall was chosen number 1 by the literal trainers of the company, it should be a no-brainer that she would be included in the final line-up.

when I first started watching this I thought that Gina was a for sure member and that she was definitely going to debut so I was really surprised when she was announced to not be in the lineup

I personally think the group feels like hollow. Like there is something missing. I felt like Christina and Gina would have added another charisma to the group. But it is what it is now.The group is already formed. I hope the others who were not selected will shine on the path they will take.

Kinda upset that JYP didn’t add Christina to the group regardless of her lack of singing ability. She has everything else, dancing, rapping, personality, she glued the group together. And If I’m not mistaken, Twice Dayhun can’t sing either, yet she’s in a group 🤔 why couldn’t they do the same for Christina? I hate to throw race around, but I’m certain colorism was the reason.

If you check out Boys World. That’s your typical American Girl group out right now. Lighter and sexier choreography with stronger vocals.

see that's why i just stopped watching these shows. i just know won't be able to enjoy the group 's carrier if i'm continusly thinking about what it could have been. twice, produce 101/48 grps, kep1er, etc. i see these grps like regular grps formed in a the usual company-selected way especially since they are all rigged.

This video goes to show why most companies train and teach idols without showing them to the general public is because the general public can be very biased towards there favorite rather then who actually has the skills to be a K-pop idol most people that judge the line up doesn’t even know what it takes to be a Idol or doesn’t understand the training also they are debuting as a K-pop group they work within the K-pop industry within the K-pop genres and style so this video simply goes to show that she doesn’t even know what K pop is it’s a style and mixture of genres mixed with Korean music this line up was mostly good based on there skill but like I said you can’t sit there and be like oh they didn’t do what the fans want cause at the end of the day it’s about there skills it’s about what they can show the world so you who hasn’t lived as long as JY park or haven’t been into the industry close to as JY park won’t understand what he is looking for and we should respect what he is looking for and how he wants To build his company he’s been in the industry for over 30 years none of you have been in the K-pop industry let alone for over 10 years at all let’s stop judging and start respecting the people that have been doing this day in and day our for years and the show had trained professionals so if you think you are a professional start your own show instead and f complaining

Btw, fifth harmony's youngest members were age 15. The oldest was 19 and the other 2 were 16. There's a big difference between 12 or 13 year olds and 15 year olds. But whatever age they shouldn't be in the music industry.

How does hating Kendall and KG have anything to do with why Christina and Gina was dropped. I honestly think ALL 8 should have debuted!!! The chemistry between the remaining members that is Vcha is a little bit lacking. Before, like everyone else pointed, there was a lot of chemistry between Camila and Christina/Lexus and Gina. And c'mon, the Back Dawgs had so much chemistry together. They were so much fun. Christina really made the behind the scenes personable to watch. Whether she is alone or with a group. Her reactions stood out. Even Gina was cute backstage. The girls right now are kind of awkward together. Lexus is more out of her shell. Camila seems quiet now, honestly think she should have been the leader (no hate to Lexi). Savanna is shining by herself. Lol. Kendall and Kaylee seem to have a quiet chemistry together. Kaylee is young so she's enjoying herself as the maknae. KG is cute and awkward, which I know is weird but she shines when she gives solo interviews. I guess it will take time. Hopefully things get less weird. ❤❤❤

A2K seems really gimmicky. I don't see them making it in America or Korea. I'm all for it though. Whatever happens, the girls are having fun and will get to tell their grandchildren about the time they were in a Kpop group. American girls can go home anytime, and probably will. I'm also hoping they form some friendships in the JYPE cafeteria (itzy), and tell them how good artists have it in the US.

Me I just don’t understand jYP he wants something to be famous in western country, but at the time he used Korean standard as if they are a group just for Korean, he and his staff which are all Korean choose according to their ‘Korean standards’ not for the foreign audience let’s not lie, we shouldn’t support that kind of mindset jYP and his staff was just being selfish ignoring all of westerners opinions and fans. This is so selfish he took members not base on their dancing or vocal but based on they physical appearance the so call “star aura” which is a criteria he make up, how many American singer in their beginning of their career has hard times to be on stage example Dua lipa ? If you observe dua lipa first concert was not all pink and blue but she improve her stage presence and even dancing skills with the Times, she has unique voice that is why she is famous, hating is wrong so I’m not gonna mention anyone but when you pick a members who can’t sing to me it’s so wrong..

I feel conflicted because I like all the girls and I wish Kendall happiness and success so I'll support her, but I'm gutted about my girl Cristina not getting in... she sang so well in the final mission too, WAY better than Kendall. Kendall legitimately made me cringe w her vocals. I cried a lot when Yuna went home but if I'm being honest her appeal is only her personality and cute qualities. She can do moves but has no sense of beat or rhythm and didn't fix that problem after all the training time. And she's a weak singer. I hope she improves and gets more chances but the reality is she just wasn't ready. Ocerall I'm pretty happy w the lineup. Just mostly sad about Cristina

On your last video, I commented something about how I was worried the group was going to be seen as Kidz-Bop and yeah…I’m even more worried now based on the Y.O.Universe song and MV. It kind of looks like something you’d see on Disney Channel and just felt juvenile. Although maybe that’s good considering how young the members are. I think JYPE seriously doesn’t understand the American market, especially considering how the English releases from his groups have gone. I’m also kind of frustrated with how Vcha has been treated compared to Blackswan. Blackswan has gotten so much sh*t from international fans calling them Koreaboos but the second a big3 company debuts a “global group” with mostly light skin people, it’s fine? Obviously I don’t want the girls to get hate but it feels like a double standard.

1:42 Usually I’m on board with the viewers voting, however, I don’t think this would’ve worked, because most of the time viewers favor contestants based on their looks/personality rather talent! The lineup would be awful if the viewers were given the option to vote, because we already know yuna be 1st although she’s the weakest link in terms of talent and skills! Personally I have no issue with the lineup (I’m still unsure about Kendall) but everyone else deserved their place/rank! Lastly, I think jyp has plans for gina and that’s why she didn’t make it and I think Cristina’s voice was the main reason why she didn’t make it! Overall, the show was good, and I’m excited to see how this plays out!

I like the final line up, the contestants are all different and I haven’t seen a group just like that before. I think they all have great stage presence which makes them fun to watch, the vocals are pretty good too… Wouldn’t say that they’re lacking so much in that department that it would bother the American audience. They all seem very humble and hardworking 🙂 What’s interesting is that they will be managed by Division 3 of JYP (which also manages Twice and JYP) so there’s great prospect there. Overall, I’m here for how unique this group is and excited to hear what their debut single will sound like, looks like they’re going for the youthful and fresh concept.

Personally, the only problem that I have is the name. It may not be that bad to some people but I just can’t understand why would he put them that name when his previous gg’s such as wonder girls, twice, itzy and nmixx are all names that sound way better than “VCHA” if he had actually thought abt this has his most “ambitious” project then he would have had put more thought into the name, especially if it’s a group meant for a global audience. Not to mentioned it sounds like a slur is Brazilian Portuguese and like an insect in Spanish. By the way, spanish speaking audiences are already making a meme out of the name because “VCHA” sounds like bicha, similar to “bichota” which is a slang word for bisexual woman or just something u say when u feel empowered 😭

I listen to and watch Kpop because they're foreign, and it's intriguing. So, creating an American Kpop group is kind of cringe. The other they I saw them introducing themselves in unison as Korean, and it gives me wanna-be energy 😂

I think the lineup is okay in terms of skill level, but it is clear that not all the members have a strong bond. I would have prefered that they keep Cristina and Gina mainly because they bring a lot of energy to the group and it would seem less awkward when the girls are interacting. Also, I feel like the group could have had a much better concept had kaylee not debuted. Because she is only 12, the company cannot have the group do more mature concepts without recieving backlash for sexualizing someone that young. Therefore they went with a school/best friends(??) concept that is not trendy or popular in the media right now. Had the group lineup been decided my the viewers vote I think it would have been way different. For example, kaylee has a strong korean fandom mainly because she is the only korean member, however a lot of international a2k fans refuse to stan her because she is so young. I also think that yuna would have not been eliminated because she had such a large fandom. Throughout the show it was clear that JYP had favorites. The main example of this are Kendall and KG. Sure both of the girls are talented, but I don't think either of them are prepared enough to debut. KG lacks dancing skills but she has strong vocals, however being a kpop idol requires a lot of dancing and she will only weaken the group. Kendall has great stage presence but her dancing is messy and her vocals are not as good as JYP praises her for several times in the show. Overall, the lineup isn't horrible but I don't think they have a high chance of being successful.

Cristina, Yuna and Gina had the most entertaining personalities off stage. Cristina was so supportive and a big foodie which I love. You can tell Gina was really funny. I think those two would have created good content for Vlives, variety shows, behind the scenes, vlogs, interviews etc. Honestly Yuna wasn’t the best dancer but her stage presence was really good. She has a lively energy that’s really attractive and interesting. I also think she has the best visuals. She may not have been the best singer/dancer but she had her own natural charms that would have attracted a lot of fans. I keep saying this over and over again but I really think they should have made two separate groups instead of eliminating the girls. Girl crush concept: Camilla, Gina, Cristina and Lexus. They all looked their best doing SKZ choreo that would be more fitting for a girl crush concept. Group 2 would have youthful cutesy concept: Kaylee, Yuna, Kendall, KG and Savanna. Now Savanna can easily fit the girl crush concept also. I picked her for group 2 cause she a rapper and group 2 is lacking one. Group 1 has Cristina and Camilla who are already good at rapping. To be completely fair I will also add in Melissa with group 1 and Mischa for group 2. Melissa has that soulful voice and her age makes her a better fit for the girl crush group. While Mischa’s age is more appropriate for the cutesy vibe of group 2. I like all the girls and I wish they all could have debuted.

I think if we take a step back and look at the bigger picture of this group and american culture, it’s so clear that they’re not going to be successful. I hope I’m wrong, but the only other girl groups that have been able to hold their own in the american market are TLC, destiny’s child, the spice girls, and fifth harmony. now ask if vcha is on the same level as these other groups… absolutely not

Kendall is just built better

I loved christina's personality the most and she has such great stage presence. PLUS like you said, she was part of the chemistry of the group. The energy in the group feels super empty. Gina, although more reserved, had that fun bright energy as well that is now missing.

I'm just now seeing this video and I completely disagree. The group is doing well and they have tons of chemistry with each other but I'll focus on the final lineup. JYP picked the best possible line-up if the limit is at six girls. They got the three best vocalist (Kaylee, KG & Camilia), who I view as the best dancers (Savanna, Lexi) and the all rounder member who isn't horrible but isn't better than the other five (Kendall). I won't say Cristina but Kendall had something Gina did not and that was a very natural and charismatic stage presence. It's something that could be taught. I'd say Savanna, Camilia, Kendall, KG were overall more consistence with their stage presence than Gina. And it's not a knock at her but I think her best performances were Know Me Like That and Backdoor. That's two out of the many they did. Say what you want about Kendall but she never failed to deliver on stage and put on a good show. As for Cristina, it's clear their not going for a rap based group but a group that has raps and the skills she brought forth, were covered by other members. All in all, it was the best line up the show could produce. I don't think Gina and Cristina not being in the groups takes away from anything because I didn't consider them the best but I don't think it would've changed much if they were added.

I totally agree that JYPE is trying to make the group something that the general US market just won't be into. I do think he's trying to make them more for young teens. They may struggle to capture American fans based on their current content. XG is blowing up in the US for their amazing skills and music that resonates with Americans. They are also mature without being sexy or girly. JPY will need to significantly improve VCHA's song quality if the company hopes to capture enough fans to generate publicity and profit.

I personally just don't like the fact that every single member is a minor and that the youngest is 13, if they want a true global girl group, they just shouldn't debut minors. People in the West have clearly advocated for minors not debuting in Kpop and most of the biggest groups from the west are usually all over the age of 18.

I'm not feeling the lineup or the music. But then again I'm a 20 year old woman so I'm not the target demographic anyway. But I do wonder if all this love and hype around this group pre-debut will translate to actual physical sales and streams. My guess is it won't.

U can tell she’s so focused on her debut till she’s not truly enjoying herself like the rest of the girls. i love gina and how talented she is but i understand why she wasn’t in the group. everyone in the group has a signature skill or talent. kg, she’s always seen with a guitar. kendall she has really really good stage presence and facials. kaylee is the maknae and also extremely talented. camilla is the all rounder which has stayed consistent throughout the whole show. savanna is like the ‘cool’ one and rapper. lexus is a dancer while her vocals are still good. gina was good in everything but she wasn’t the best in everything. she was usually second or third in everything and her place in the group can’t be the all rounder since that spot is taken by camilla. there is not much you can associate with gina. gina is definitely more of a soloist and she will go far. i was devastated that gina didn’t get in but after thinking about it i realised that it’s not much to be stressed about - she is doing well in her career right now. and as for kendall, she should not be getting as much hate as she is. her facials are AMAZING and her dance is great. she’s a nice girl and she didn’t do anything to anybody. plus, JYP liked her bc JYP likes softer voices. her voice isn’t that bad and she has improved a lot. you can’t teach the stage precense that she has, it’s something that just comes natural to her. that was another issue with gina, her emotions. she gives off very soloist vibes and that’s not a bad thing because she will a hundred percent shine in her solo career. a solo career seems more like her thing anyway, since she is so talented. when she was rejected, it wasn’t because she was bad, it was because the group wasn’t a good fit for her. with christina, a lot of people said that she had chemistry with the other members but not to be blunt, but she isn’t very strong in singing. JYP protected her by not putting her in the group as the KPOP industry is very critical when it comes to vocals. she didn’t shine in most aspects. she had good chemistry with the other members but at there end of the day it is a kpop group and they’re there to perform more than they are to film mukbang videos together. if you see kendall’s fancam for YOUniverse, you will see her hair flips, her facials and how good she is at that sort of thing. she gives off idol energy and she looks and feels like an idol. it’s really sad to see people, some GROWN ADULTS, hating on a child for doing nothing wrong but having something that they are too blind to see. it may sound easy to have stage presence, but as a performer myself, it’s extremely difficult to train that and she is just spectacular. it’s okay to like gina and christina and want them to be in the group, but there is no reason to hate on kendall. imagine if you win a race that you’ve spent months practising for, and as soon as you win, everyone starts booing you and saying that those behind you deserved the medal instead of you. JYP isn’t stupid, he’s been in the industry longer than most kendall haters have been alive. trust me when i say that he knows what he’s doing and what he sees. i am a kendall defender until the day i die

I think KNEZ are more willing to see the group if the songs were in Korean / more kpop like. KNEZ do enjoy groups like BLACKSWAN as long as they respecting the culture. They dont seem to enjoy XG but they do have their fans so it's more of if they like any of the members if anything which i doubt.

Kg = au début j'aimer énormément son audition, puis au fils des épisodes j'ai vu qu'elle était clairement dans les favoris de JYP, car lors de son évaluation personnelle c'est bien la seule qui n'à pas danser en même temps que chanter, ce que je trouve défavorisant pour les autres et le fait qu'elle s'est placé si haut dans le classement à chaque fois par rapport à d'autres qui faisaient bien mieux je trouvais ça immorale. Je pense qu'au début elle n'était même pas fan de kpop elle voulait juste devenir connue ? Enfin c'est ce qu'elle laisser paraître. Je l'aurais plutôt vue en Solo mais en Amérique. Kendall vraiment très bonne en visuel/charme/acting elle a se quelque chose qui brille en elle! Je ne pouvais pas m'empêcher de la regarder vraiment! Camila, je pense qu'elle ferait une bonne lead du groupe son chant/rap et même danse est incroyable, Kaylee si cute ! Une voix assez charmante, elle apprends très vite, et n 'hésite pas à conseiller les autres grâce à ses techniques, on voit clairement son évolutions au fils des épisodes, devenue très mature vers la fin! On dirait une autre personne, moins gamine. très prometteuse cette petite! Savana je suis très mitigé, elle danse très bien, son rap excellent, ses mimiques de visages son top ! Mais quelque chose m'a gêner vers la fin je ne saurais dire pourquoi :/ Christina ? Je pense sincèrement qu'elle n''étais pas faite pour Ce groupe en question, mais je ne nie pas son talent en danse! Mais le chant... je n'accrocher absolument pas du tout! Pour la final quand ils l'ont mis dans le groupe KG/Kaylee/Kendall elle faisait à part... elle s'accorde bien avec Savana/Camila mais c'est vraiment tout... donc je ne la voyais pas dans le groupe final. Gina ? très talentueuse, je trouve que JYP à était trop sévère et injuste la concernant, à toujours vouloir plus.. si elle n'avait pas été trainee je pense que ça se serait passé différemment.. enfin niveau votes/commentaires. Mais je ne la voyais pas dans le groupe non plus pour la bonne raison que oui elle ne fait ressentir aucunes émotions, c'est la perfection certes, mais froide, sans vie... comme si tout était mécanique dans ses gestes.. ça manquer de personnalité! Et je pense selon moi que c'était ça le soucis :/ Malgré ses efforts vers la fin ça n'a pas suffit.. Lexus! Cette fille à su remonter la pente, la fin !! Slay vraiment, son évolution est pour moi celle qui se démarque le plus je trouve! Surtout en chant. Yuna, pour moi c'était évident qu'elle n'irait pas plus loin. Elle était certes très belle, mais elle ne savait absolument pas écouter/suivre les conseils/elle se rabaisser h24/ à part penser que tout vas bien " je vais faire de mon mieux " pleurnicher, bah elle faisait rien à part être gênante, dans ses gestes/façon d'être, son truc bizarre avec sa langue, se filmer en gros plan sur son nez. Elle n'a absolument pas évoluer jusqu'à la danse avec le groupe Lexus/Kendall qui la ça pouvait aller... mais c'était trop tard elle était trop en retard via les autres membres. Avec plus de temps elle fera sûrement des progrès mais elle aurait eu trop d'écart avec le groupe. Elle faisait baisser les évaluations de groupe. ça se voyait que personne voulait d'elle dans son groupe pour se faire évaluer... elle était un poids pour son équipe on va pas se mentir. Mischa je la trouvais tellement malaisante... désolée mais clairement quelque chose me gêner à chaque fois qu'elle était là! Il y a quelque chose qui n'aller vraiment pas.. Son chant n'était pas si bon et sa danse manquer cruellement de techniques, si raid, sans émotions. Elle était Fade, Mélissa, très bonne chanteuse !!!talent incroyable mais je ne la voyais pas du tout dans se groupe elle était trop dans sa bulle, rien avoir avec la kpop... ça n'avait pas de sens. Puis sa danse laisser à désirer. Elle était clairement pas faite pour ce projet, elle rester trop dans son passé malgré le fait qu'elle dit être passé à autre chose, le but du groupe ne correspondait pas, elle devrait être soliste mais en Amérique.

i feel like the concept is too teen pop for it to be popular in america and sadly they cant steer away from it because kaylee is so young, which is why i didn’t want gina or kaylee to debut simply because of their age. the chemistry isn’t there yet and so they look really awkward together, but they barelyyyy debuted so i hope im proven wrong in the future

I love this lineup, as a Savanna, Camila and Lexus supporter since the beginning I am happy, but, Cristina should've debuted. The way JYP snubbed her so many times when critiquing her, omitting all the improvement she's had over the course of the show. As for the group chemistry, i think it'll come with a bit of time, you can see when they're training that they get along and laugh a lot, i truly think we will get to see them be like that. I am so proud of all the contestants, and their journey! So happy for the debut team aswell, congratulations on their first music show stage as well!!! Sidenote : wtf is that name, jyp.........
