I am the mother and I am standing in the gap praying for restoration and healing. My daughter-in-law does not believe in God, my son has backslidden and the constant bombardment has caused him to have a breakdown. She left the marital home, took the kids off school, and leave them with her mother who lives 400 miles away. She works 2 miles away from the marital home, her father lives 3 miles away and I don't know where she is staying, Both parties came from broken homes. I am praying for healing and restoration and she is being suspected of being unfaithful. I tried reaching out. She hates and resents me

what of men whose culture says their mom has to live with you. and comes first. 100% dependent financially on sons due to culture. no other income. support for life even if young not elderly. it can work only if boundaries,but they dont have them. they say she is allowed in your space to clean for you and stuff when you dont want it. and they would spend more time together than with wife. and when the man WANTS this. not just a duty or burden but WANTS it. and doesnt care for your feelings on little things. its a surrogate spouse in a son. taught from a young age.

Yes King David. People mostly focus on him murdering a person and acquiring his wife (as property belonging to the murdered man). They often forget that David also used his power to sexually assault Bathsheba (she was a religious woman who had completed her ceremonial washing - it would have been impossible for her to have any choice whatsoever). Then she was forced to marry and have a child with her abuser. Truly God honoured her - despite all this, God made things ultimately work together for good.
Right same question. You speak about not seeking divorce as the stander. But what about those of us which are many that have been divorced by the prodical?

Is it true forgiveness when your prodigal spouse claims they forgive you but tells you there are consequences and the consequence is divorce based on his decision?
Divorce is a sin even when adultery has been committed. The Book of Hosea talks of how Gomer committed one sin another (affairs, child by another man, prostitution... she was a married whore), and Hosea fought for her and took her back time and again. He kept up with her through all of her affairs, etc. She eventually became a slave in order to survive, and Hosea bought her out of slavery. Soo, your spouse is trying to excuse and justify their decision to get a divorce. Their heart is hardened. They are choosing their will over God's. Just soo much sin. True forgiveness would not pursue divorce unless there has NOT been a change in dangerous behavior.

Calvary is where Jesus died in the cross it’s a place. It means to accept the blood of Christ for your sins. It means to believe That he died and was raised from the dead 3 days later as the final atonement for your sins making you right with God and his child. Going to Calvary means to become a Christian.

There is always hope. I believe God allows things to go so far just so He can show his glory in our lives. If you give Him your trust, there is nothing He won't do for you. Step out on that ledge and believe the impossible! 💜
Jessica Deery here’s one thing that has helped me- you have spend time w the Lord. Ask Him to help you not be burned out and to look at the situation from His perspective. Soak in His presence and let it strengthen you to turn the other cheek. Our unconditional love is a seed sown. You will reap. But it will take time and you may see no immediate results in your spouse, but you will find that your reaction to his selfishness is a lot different. Some things may even cease to bother you. Strengthening yourself in the Lord and working on your relationship w Him will help put your flesh in submission. God loves you and wants all of you before He begins to work on your spouse. It’s our flesh that grows weary in well doing. God sees your situation and can change anyone’s heart. Including a selfish spouse’s heart.
Praise be to God who lead me to you because i've been searching how to be healed from betrayal and rejection of my husband..i've been praying hard that I could overcome this torment..It's been a year since he left us and still i am unhealed while he is so happy living with his mistress..
