I'm glad you explained the vibration aspect. I always thought the "vibration thing" was strictly a feel/comfort trait of a bow. I know now that it has to do with energy transfer efficiency. Thanks.
Thanks for this one! I currently shoot a v3x, but I did order a unite in the beginning of March, still waiting on it. Seems like the new unite was shipped out in one big group recently,
Someone should speed test all the bows and put it on a spreadsheet or something. Or better come up with a better ibo standard. Kinda ridiculous how far off the speeds are.
Whether it’s relevant or not, Dud worked for Mathew’s and Hoyt. The unite has Mathew’s ish cable splitter, and a Hoyt style pic rail. Interesting to see different tech rolled into a bow.
Hey man love the video’s. It may just be on my end , but the last couple videos you have released the audio is a little messed up. Sounds like you are in a can. Just wanted to bring it to your attention. Keep the videos coming
@mfjj I get your comment that vibration signals energy not ending up in the arrow…but for dead-feeling bows isn’t roughly the same amount of energy just dying in the various vibration dampening add-ons (all the rubbery stuff) vs ending up pushing the arrow???
I have found out that different manufacturers use different material strings, and I've seen nocks fit too tight on the strings and make it that it shoots 10 - 25fps slower or more because of it. Bet my life on it. #Checknockfit
Hey Josh, bit of constructive criticism. Why does your audio only go through one ear for the first 4 minutes of the video? Great video overall. Straight to the point, no wasted time. I really like this line of bows. The levitate and the unite seem great. Now for a rant you don't need to read: I wish I had a bow shop technician like Josh. I have plans to move east in a year and a half. My issue is the place my dad went, which led to the place me and my brothers went takes draw length as a set distance based on your wingspan. But our bodies are all weird. I don't know what measurement is weird on us, but my brother got a no cam htr (he's 6'4"), I had a switchback. We decide to play with our draw lengths which basically just meant leaving our old technician behind. My brother picks up a Mathews Atlas. I take his old bow. At max draw length (30"), I can now lock my arm, but my chest is still super condensed. I can bend my arm and expand my chest and my pin becomes more stable. I'm deadly out to 40 now. Just so annoying because now I know I need 30.5 or maybe even 31, but I can't even play with it. Just pisses me off how much money we've wasted.
