The Public Is FURIOUS Travel Nurses Are Making 6 Figures 

I’m a nurse and a former travel nurse . I don’t expect a thank you from my patients cause I’m just doing my job. However , I do require to be paid well. Great to see you again. Please don’t ever stop RU-vid.

I'm a nurse and I agree with you 100%... I've heard so many ppl say it's not about the money... well I call BS!!! Don't get me wrong pt care is very important but pay me what I'm worth. Taking care of the sick and dealing with their family members should be reason enough to make money. I was a staffed nurse for six years and just came across contract and travel nursing and I won't go back to being a staffed nurse. I feel I'm finally being paid my worth.

I don't get this...nursing is a very tough job. Why is it okay for other professions to make money but not nurses? I wish I could travel nurse right out of school.

That’s because most people have no clue what nursing actually is or how hard the job is. Put the average person on a med surg floor with 6 to 8 patients and most wouldn’t even last one shift. One thing I will correct though, not every provider makes the big bucks. The specialists maybe, but not all.

Saving a life is priceless so why shouldn't the people who do it be fairly compensated? I mean we find millions for sports and entertainment stars.

This ain't charity work we're doing. No, I expect to be paid! Years of College, dealing with unruly patients, administration, the risks involved with the job and many other factors say we've earned this pay. People who don't like what we're making can kick rocks. Most travel nurses do work a lot but earn a lot too. Took a different spin on this though. It wasn't about making a huge sum of money over the course of a year. It was making enough money to last all year in a short amount of time. People say, 'Oh, you're just lazy and don't want to work!' Hi girl....love your videos---you keep it REAL! I am an "old nurse"--Baby Boomer, who left the VA a year ago. I have only been travelling for a year, and I could kick myself for not doing it sooner. I have encountered covert hostility and snippy comments from people who don't know the breadth of things we experience as nurses--but also unfortunately, from those who do know the trials of being nurses! So, needless to say, I am loving the pay, and after 40+ years, I've earned it. Nothing lasts forever, so let's pray this trend continues for a while! Happy Travels!

I made this observation months ago.....it had to be when the profession was first started.....almost all female which were way back when it first started could be easily imposed on, exploited and have no voice. The way the system is ran today with Nurses is evidence of that. Good to see another one of your videos Christina.

I am a Norwegian travel nurse and find much good information on your channel. We have the same people here, saying that nursing is about caring for people, and that nurses who are only in it for the money is the wrong type of nurse. I say, please both, thank you. Male nurses still make more than female nurses, which needs to change. Travel agencies have hospital administrations by-the-balls right now, since if no nursing staff then no hospital...period. So, all you office workers making six figures for doing nothing can just keep sharing what ya-all make with the employees of the hospitals that are actually doing THE work of hands on, 24/7, weekends, holidays, mandatory OT, work. Health care shift work is a hundred times harder than office staff desk job work. Sorry: the time has arrived for nurses: Pay us or close your profit-oriented hospitals.

I love this video as a whole. Being a minority in yhis field can be demoralizing at times. I've had people see me in this uniorm and the amount of disrespect from them was unreal. Currently looking into non-public facing roles as the whole th ing has left an awful taste in my mouth. It also feels like organizations see nurses as an easy group to pile more tasks on because it's a female dominated group and don't really refuse what is asked.
