2:00 "they can't shut down a hospital cause they need to make money" wtf? Ma'am with all do respect its a hospital... Its there for medical emergencies and hospitalization. I've worked and still work in one as a housekeeper for the OR for 8 years.. What the hospitals need is more nurses and a positive mood shift between sraff. You can't treat your new resident nurse or new hire like shit and expect them to stay. And I havent seen your whole vid on this but I just wanted to make the part clear were hospitals are there to treat humans. We do need to Chang how everyone charges hospitals for supplies tho.. And pay employees who work in janitorial and food services better and not treat them like there dumb. And nursing and doctor staff.. Respect your colleges better and help and don't discriminate the students who are there to learn and don't be a dick. That way we can get more staff and be more of an efficient team! It's hard. I feel for this who have to do rotating 12's and have more than 8 patients a day but ive seen how students and new staff are treated between worm colleges and it's bullshit.

I always told my coworkers if the hospital doesn’t have the staff they do not need to be admitting more patients, they need to be rerouted. No one nurse should be caring 6,7,8,9,10 patients. I left the hospital as well. I hate the gaslight and their favorite line “do it for the patient”. F you!

There's a nursing home in Phoenix, AZ. A Paradise for Parents. They changed diet to ketogenic diet and some are checking themselves out of the nursing home. Lets focus on prevention.

Of course top level hospital execs make a lot more than nurses. It takes years of education and a specific skill set to run a hospital that 99.9% of people can’t do…it’s not realistic to expect a hospital to pay nurses the same as high level mangers.

They cut the travel pay now. How much are you making now? I did travel 3 years ago and made 90k. I was very pleased. Staffing still sucked, but it sucks everywhere so I might as well get paid top dollar. Since then I quit floor nursing and do home health. I care for 1 pt for 12 hrs. They get my undivided attention. There are still challenges, but staffing isn't 1 of them.

I agree with everything you've said....however, even if you were paid $100,000 or more, in a few weeks you'd be right back where you are now. It not so much about money as it is working conditions and how you are treated! Health care sucks!!! Take care of yourself and take time to heal!

Leave the hospital. Do home health to get away from the noise. Start doing something else on the side until that’s the main thing and then taper off home health and be gone and done with healthcare. It is a joke at this point

I’f there is a snow storm or hurricane. In those areas of the country for the duration of the storm, nurses should be given hazard pay, being essential during a hazardous storm. Hazard should be double time for the duration of the storm.

Not only the hospitals the insurance companies too..I understand the whole picture I have been in nursing for 30 years.! And my lower back is in bad shape..and I paid 20 years for disability insurance....I caught Covid and almost died. The insurance company didn't pay me but 81 dollars. And this took place in 2020..and the paper work was inconsistent. So they would do anything. The over worked caregiver is not a joke. There is no consistency in the medical feild. And at the cost of the patients.

❤There is not a nursing shortage!! Just a shortage of nurses willing to work bedside!!! HOSPITALS NEED TO START THINKING ABOUT PATIENTS not profits!!!❤ Staffing is a major/serious issue!!! Why bedside nurses are opting out of bedside nursing!! Bedside sucks!!! Not worth risking your license!!!

I completely understand. It’s not just healthcare systems… take a look at insurance payers making multi billion dollar profits, while hospitals are barely making any profit. Thanks to the Change debacle… getting paid is slow. The payer denials is obscene. The underpays… underhanded. I work for a non profit. Our EBITDA hasn’t been good since Covid. This nurse doesn’t work in finance. If she knew the hurdles negotiators go through to protect our patients and keep us able to afford to pay employees. If you only see the picture from a Nurse perspective… you’re only seeing 1/4 of the picture. The greed… it’s not just the executive leaders. It is the ENTIRE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM in the US. To be fair…. If you don’t have providers you can’t take care of patients. If you don’t have revenue cycle… the hospital can’t get paid. If you don’t have rate negotiators… no-one has enough money to get paid. We have had lay-offs every year for the past 3. Not just nurses, but administrators, accounting, IT, the support for a Hospital. It’s not just providers that make up a patients team. They are on the front-line… but we on the administrative side… we make a hella less than providers. We are struggling and working multiple jobs as people are laid off and their positions are not backfilled. And then… the early “retirements”. The natural attrition of people feed up with it all. Nurses…you aren’t the only people suffering. But no-one ever thinks about the people holding you up. The supply chain people. The EV staff. The people making meals for patients. The people in accounting. IT. The payer negotiators. The people maintaining the systems nurses and doctors use to do their job. IT IS NOT JUST YOU. It’s all of us sacrificing… getting underpaid… struggling… questioning our decision to remain… having to struggle to pay our bills… and getting no pay increases. No cost of living raises… or if we get something… it’s so small. Remember people. It’s not just Nurses and doctors that work at hospitals and clinics. And the rest of us… we work just as hard to ensure our patients get the best care. Behind every provider there’s a team of people supporting him/her. And we make beans in comparison. And we often are laid off, down to minimum staff… made exempt to avoid OT pay. Oh yes. The schemes that are played to keep the hospital doors open. Thanks for listening. And don’t come for me in comments. I’m beaten up enough by a system that pretends my role doesn’t matter… but if my role didn’t exist… the hospital wouldn’t stay open. No patients. No doctors. No staff. The ugly hidden truth.

I am a retired nurse after 50 plus years. My experience in hospitals is healthcare is in a war between insurance companies and healthcare providers at the top of the chain. Safe care of patients is not discussed in board rooms leading to bedside care health providers being squeezed to provide unsafe care or sent home without pay for refusal to provide care that puts professional licensure at risk. Research demonstrates that muse:patient ratios are decisive in patient safety. It’s sad at best and borders on outrageous if you or your loved one is the patient

Nurses, CNAs- EVERYONE providing unnecessary sacrifices will eventually be in these beds SUPPLYING the cycle as consumers. They don’t want us to ACTUALLY take care of ourselves.
