"There was one time my brother transformed himself into a snake because he knows how much I like snakes, and so I picked the snake up to admire it, but then he turned back and went 'AAHH! It's me!' And then he stabbed me." -Thor Ragnorak
Loki " come on guys, it was just a prank! You guys can appreciate a prank right?! Seriously I think killing my sons and tie me down with there and test online is a little Overkill, guys! Guys? Seriously? Seriously?"
@arnold jayeola Google voice doesn't do question marks and exclamation points, so unless he typed those separately he typed it all out and just doesn't know how to spell intestines.
Please dont mistake Marvel Loki from Norse Mythology Loki, they are not the same person. Loki is a evil character whoose purpose in the stories is to cause the end of the world i.e Ragnarok. He isnt a misunderstood kid who just needed love. The gods in Norse mythology do offer this to him. He rejects it and then kills on of their own.
Loki is the God of chaos and change..not lies..he brings out the true and uncovers secerts and pulls the covers on the other gods..like in the story of lokasenna
@@erikaalicerosemartinezmaga2407 oh will you stop. Read some actual stories about Loki. Its ridiculous how people seem to accept that Loki from Marvel is a spitting image of an ancient evil deity from our culture.
The reason for Loki's "Evil" was because he was a half Jotunn (which is not a Giant BTW) who were beings of chaos. So all the "Chaos" he was causing was really just because of his Jotunn heritage.
Well "Evil" is more because of the perspective of the aesir because Loki in their eyes was pure evil because of the prophecy in which the aesir self fulfilled it because they hated and threatened loki constantly till he snapped demanded attention and ultimately killed baldr and had his kid strung apart and enchained with him so tell me who really evil hear the shunned soul or the bastards who made him what he is and does more terrible things then Loki such as turning children into goat and using them to fly his chariot and eat them while every morning they come back and the same process happens cuz that's not Loki. Thats Thor. Oh ya Thor is a bastard
@@chasehenry9303 there was a story in which Thor invited a small family to eat with him so they did they ate his goats thor told them not to break the bones so they may return whole accidentally the boys did end up breaking a leg so thor turned them into his goats
Insulting his wife was from the marvel comics ( i actually dont know if he did so in actual mythology but , just saying ) In mythology he would scream of pain and create earthquakes
In the mythology Loki wasn't the nicest to his wife. Do you really think someone as unstable as Loki would not seep his resentment onto his wife for being unable to prevent his pain inflicted upon him by the gods, even if he knows she means him no harm?
@@crablord7934 not what im saying , in actual mythology , Loki was reported to sream in pain and create earthquakes when the Venom dropped , not insult his wife , thats from Marvel comics
As a fellow erehisu fan I love it ✋🏻 Eren is like the perfect mix between Odin and Loki, Historia is allying with the demon that she is the only one to understand and to still see as a human. If it’s confirmed canon it will be the best written love story of anime history
Siggin is dedicated and selfless. How many women would devote their lives to keeping the dripping toxins out of her man's eyes and nostrils? I don't recall hearing that she had to "walk away" for a bit when the bowl was full; the tale I'm remembering is that she had to turn away from time to time to empty the bowl, at which time the venom dripped on Loki and he would tremble and curse her. It makes sense that she might have to walk away though, since that would explain why earthquakes often last several minutes or even hours rather than just a few seconds. Thank you for helping me understand the different variants of the story.
@@Ami_Mehta, when she went to empty the bowl, there was nothing to keep the venom from dripping on Loki's face or in his eyes. Since he was bound, he couldn't move out of the way, but of course he tried. His writhing and shaking extended throughout the world, so the earth would quake and groan along with him.
You forgot the best part, his screams are so powerful that everytime the venom drops onto his skin while his wife is emptying the bowl he screams so loudly and painfully it shakes the earth around him and causes earthquakes. This story is also the Nordic explanation behind earthquakes.
well what i found interesting is that his wife never gave upon him even though he said terrible things about her also she cared and loved him. This shows that real true love might still exsist in the real world❤❤
@@marbleb33s Yeah, apparently he had two to Sigyn; Vali and Nari/Narfi. In the punishment, Vali was turned into a wolf, who went into bloodlust and killed Nari/Narfi.
There is a scene that represents his punishment in the Vikings series, in which the boat builder floki is punished this way and his wife helga spends days by his side. I highly recommend that anyone who likes norse mythology or viking history watches this series, it is surprising accurate and entertaining.
There is so much wisdom hidden in your work if you read between the lines. Thank you so much for all your time and effort in condensing mythology while leaving opinion out as much as possible. It's really made a difference in my studies. Mythology of the pacific islands would be great too :)
Can we talk about the drawings? Not just fangirling about the Marvel fan drawings about Tom hiddelston but also about how pretty the origins were portrayed???
You should not skip the earthquake part. Because Loki screams so loud that he creates earthquake. What I like most about mythology story is that they want to explain the nature through their imagination.
Just a theory, in the god of war, one of the elves mentions that the world serpent can (or will) go back in time during Ragnarok. So maybe the world serpent had travelled back in time, and saw his father as a boy. Not sure though cause I haven’t played the game in awhile, and idk much about Norse mythology.
I guess Loki is a very good man. When Gods are in trouble, Loki sometimes helps them. On the other hand, he doesn't mind going against Gods when he falls in love to save wicked one. Who knows what Loki is? I like Loki. When there is imbalance in the world, you need a person like Loki who will make it balanced.
can't help but fig building up a channel (to the side of the bowl)would save all those trips to empty it. Tom H's Loki really got into a lot of screen time in this... T _ T
