So this was the final mission of SC:BW co-op. Thanks for watching. I wanted to re-record the whole story by adding missing dialogues & missions and such and found this co-op mod. Hopefully you guys enjoyed the gameplay. I can't say I enjoyed every second of it since some of the mission AI's were so badly balanced and we had to record some of them multiple times. I had to adjust the difficulty for us with map editing. My friends (Kinglich and Xena) were new to Starcraft though, but it doesn't matter since we are playing against AI here. I can share the edited version of the campaign if you guys wish. Now I'll be doing the same for SC2 but first, we have 5 episodes of Precursor co-op where it tells the story of the Confederacy and their encounter with the Zerg. The campaign was canon so it would be fun to have them in full compilation as well. Special thanks to Tamamo and Zenmaster for joining me in some of the missions.
I could tell on some missions that you definitely had to try a few times 😂 aint no way some of those enemy muta flocks didnt absolutely destroy you out of nowhere❤
I always really liked the briefing for this mission. All of the Terrans are smiling as they glare daggers at each other and engaging in banter. Meanwhile, Artanis just barges directly into the call, interrupts Kerrigan, announces his presence, and tells Kerrigan in no uncertain terms that he is going to kill her. A complete lack of subtlety, just like I like my Protoss!
Meanwhile, in another Blizzard universe... Arthas: "Anub'arak, our shades have just identified three separate fleets approaching the shores of Northrend! With Kel'thuzad having disappeared, and the bulk of my armies still in Icecrown, you'll need to hold off the invaders yourself..." Illidan: "You sound worried, Arthas. Have I caught you at a bad time?" Arthas: "Not at all, Illidan. How'd you manage to muster your new fleet? Been scraping refuse off the sands of Outland again?" Illidan: "I called in a few favors. Made a few concessions. You'd be surprised to see how many factions on both our worlds want to see you dead." Arthas: "I'm sorry to have to disappoint your new friends, Illidan, but you really shouldn't have attempted this stunt. It'll take more than your three little fleets to bring me down." Illidan: "THREE fleets?" Arthas: "Don't play dumb, demon hunter. I've already spotted the other two flee-" Thrall: "Arthas Menethil, this is Warchief Thrall! My brethren and I have come to avenge the deaths of Sauerfang, Vol'jin, and all of our warriors who fell before the Scourge! It is long past time you paid for your crimes against the Horde!!!" Arthas: "When it rains, it pours..." Illidan: "Ha ha ha...The Orcs, too! Care to take a guess as to who the third fleet is?" Arthas: "No need to guess. It's Garithos and the remainder of the Alliance of Lordaeron." Garithos: "That is correct, Arthas! This is Grand Marshal Garithos! I am giving you one last chance to surrender your forces, and submit to the sovereign authority of the Kingdom of Lordaeron!" Arthas: "Gee, that's a tough one, grand marshal. You'll have to let me think for a minute...You know, grand marshal, I think I'll just massacre your remaining troops now and split your pathetic soul asunder with Frostmourne. How would that be?" Garithos: "You vastly underestimate me, traitor." Arthas: "I don't think so, Garithos. You see, at this point...I'm pretty much the coldest son of a bitch on Azeroth. And not all of your little tin-covered soldiers or ponies will stand in my way again." Garithos: "So be it..."
And her 4th Ex despite his THE MANly declaration, couldn’t be arsed to join in this. Either that or the first hint of simping has taken hold and he was unable to do anything until Artanis would reach out to him because somehow Stukov returned.
Kerrigan should've surrounded by more than just three fleets. She's made alot of enemies throughout the entire saga by that point. Aside from the three fleets, the additional fleets should be: - Remnants of Zasz's Garm Brood, hostile to everyone, doesn't have a base and are scattered across the map, wandering aimlessly - The Green KMC, for stealing their precious resources back at BW Zerg Mission 3, located at Northwest - A brown, loyalist Nerazim Protoss seeking to avenge Raszagal for corrupting her mind, located near Blue Protoss base, doesn't use HT, Archons or Arbiters - Yellow Terran, Dominion special ops who uses either nukes or BC depending on the outcome of UED Mission 4, located near base - Remnants of Stukov's Elite Guard, now infested by antI-QoB Zerg to be given vengeance against Kerrigan, located at the east, uses a mix of Terran and Zerg
Arcturus says he got his new fleet from a bunch of 'special interest groups' throughout the sector, most likely including the KMC and other Terran militias. Presumably Artanis' fleet is an alliance of Khalai and Nerazim since they use both Templar and Dark Templar units.
@@BrezelCeviche Because the Raider's fleet is small and weakened to be a threat to Kerrigan and her Zerg in this final mission. If he would participate this battle, Raynor and all his Raiders will die. Not even "I'M THE MAN" memes won't save him. To add insult to injury, two of the three fleets are enemies to the Raiders, one personal and one impersonal.
Ooooh yeah now this is a final showdown. 3 separate broods VS the Kerrigan Must Die Alliance. Hate to admit though that this is one of those original game missions I just can’t beat without at least the power overwhelming cheat.
Mengks is weak to air, UED to hydras, defilers and zerglinhs & ultras, and Protoss requires a sustained hydra, Ultra and guardians assault. Expand as soon as you can to the south and build a big defence, also lots of drones. I usually take out Mengks first because of ghosts & siege tanks. I hope it helps!
It's actually really neat how they have their own set of demi-heroes: Mengsky with Sky Furies, Artanis with Twilight Archons, and DuGalle with Spartan Companies. It could have also been more interesting if there are some heroes on the battlefield like what Mass Recall did with Mengsk, DuGalle and Artanis. Regardless, that is definitely OMEGA lol
I like these new cerebrates. Look how they scatter their forces, oh Queen. Omega is a true hell mission. Paying attettion to every troop/hive. Sadly I still wanted some UED new units from the base game. GG
This is a hard misson but to anybody struggling to complete it: Kill the protoss as soon as possible then take their expansions , itll make the mission so much easier without the dark archon spams
Thanks to player coordination/UED AI glitches, this one didn't even take as long as To Chain The Beast. I think you'd enjoy a Reversed Co-op version of this mission much more, each player controlling one of the three fleets to crush Kerrigan from all sides.
"When it rains, it pour...", she must have learnt that from her ex 😂😅. If Raynor was here and take command of all force, Kerrigan would be in much more trouble. I guess other interest groups Mengsk mentioned were Umoja and Kel-Morian, problably some more hired mercs. I always find it weird that Kerrigan found out where the UED escaped to after letting them ran first for a while, they could have jumped to anywhere.
...That's actually a good point It might be because Kerrigan knew which direction the UED came from, since she's implied to be one of the first who realized their presence and threat, so maybe she knows the general direction to where they would run if they were to retreat to Earth
That's the real treacherous Queen of Blades which defeated three fleets, betrayed and slaughtered many people (and tosses), not a pathetic shadow of it from HoTS.
Funnily enough, this mission was harder for me than To Slay The Beast. It was literally the mission that stopped me in my steps when I was playing Starcraft 1 for my first playthrough and only a few months ago did I beat it. But this mission took me like 2 hours due to how much it requires your attention at every single angle and how you have to focus on both the offensive and defense. There's also no cheese tactic possible unlike some other missions. One thing for sure tho, I think this mission is about as memorable as Eternity's End from Warcraft 3 to me. Also love how you went with what would be the canonical order of defeating the enemies, leaving Dugalle for the last.
Orange Cerebrate: "My friends, we have a message from the Queen of Blades:" Kerrigan: "Cerebrates, the time has come. We've neutralized the Protoss and Mengsk, but there's DuGalle and the UED Fleet fleeing to Earth now. Slaughter them immediately." Yellow Cerebrate: "Belay that order. We're moving out." Purple Cerebrate: "What?! The Queen of Blades will kill us for this!!" Orange Cerebrate: "He is right. All overlords prepare to move our broods off from Char on [Yellow]'s mark." Kerrigan: ...Cerebrates? What are you three doing..? Purple Cerebrate: "We've never went against a leader before. Where else could we go from here! Yellow Cerebrate: "Anywhere than here! Leviathan, signal the broods, and take us out of this system. Now!" Sarah Kerrigan: "Are you- I've been thrown aside by Mengsk and now YOU THREE?! YOU WILL ALL FEEL MY WR- *[Static As They Get Far Away From Transmission]*
Man the StarCraft reverse co op of this mission would be awesome . Co ordinating mengsk, ued and artanis while simultaneously prepping for the free for all after Kerrigan’s death would be lit
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Alternate… Back on Aiur, Duran cannot find Raszagal, and he's still busy with the still dissident Protoss that yet refuse his lead, and is down on the planet with his own forces. The 7th Fleet, which is now led by the three Executors, have to defend the staging platform on their own, and keep the impromptu coalition arriving this moment from causing far more trouble to Duran than he's having already. As for what thus Coalition consists of… - Kerrigan shows up with her Infinity Swarm and some Feral Guard Broods. - Davis leads the UED, and the Tarsonis remnants are led by the Captain. - And Zurvan has what remains of the CZP under his command. They are all ready to throw down, and it's up to the three Executors to drive them all back. Against all odds, but probably also thanks to Dark Archons, the defenders of the Daelaam Alliance succeed in routing all of their opposition. Kerrigan and Davis swear revenge as they withdraw, and Duran lets Zurvan and his Packs go, knowing the Primal won't survive for long.
O"nce again I stand atop the broken bodies of my enemies... Victorious but not unscarred. The Earth-borne Directorate has been destroyed. And the Overmind lies dead and trampled beneath the ashes of Char. As for my unlikely allies, I think that I shall allow them a reprieve. For in time I will seek to test their resolve, and their strengths. - They will all be mine in the end, for I am the Queen of Blades. None shall ever dispute my rule again." - Kerrigan.
That was a great final showdown. Very well played! I've never seen the Protoss fight so fiercely as in this mission. You could feel their desire to avenge their fallen comrades. They were easily the biggest threat. I like how the Dominion and the UED have two opposing doctrines (land power vs. air power) It's a shame the UED AI got bugged. Otherwise a vast fleet of battlecruisers, Valkyries and Goliaths could have posed a threat to the Zerg air force. Thank you and your fellow team members for this amazing Coop series. It has been an exciting and very memorable ride!
@@juldris4180 I'm not sure if the coop AI scripts are modified or are standard Blizzard scripts, but if modifications have been made (like the Dominion AI not building Battlecruisers) some of them may make the AI more vulnerable to locking up.
@@JH24821 yeah, thinking the same way. I guess because the UED are locked by air only, they are hesitant to make mass BC's before doing some stuff the normal Terran AI would do. Though on insane version of 2P Coop I see that Mebgsk AI would actually use their nuclear arsenal instead of smasging their marines and tanks against player's defense
@@juldris4180 That's a good point. I was wondering why the Dominion AI wasn't using nukes. Many years ago I was part of a team (as a hobby) to rework the Blizzard AI scripts. We found out the Blizzard AI is totally capable of devastating maxed out attacks and better resource gathering (Blizzard custom AI has an artificial limit of 30 workers but could have much more) The problem is the AI can be pretty finicky about the rules and commands it gets to work with.
@@JH24821 Dominion doesn't make battlecruisers at all, they mass siege tanks and ghosts who nuke your buildings. The two human factions have different mass strategies.
I still kinda wish they’d put Daggoth leading the last remnants of the Renegades he could control as a fourth enemy in this map. He knows they’re doomed without the Overmind and Kerrigan, but they’re gonna try and take her down with them as one last act of spite.
Check out the Executor’s videos of the Reverse campaigns where three different endings happen depending on the victor, and all of them are more preferable to the original ending.
My headcanon for this fight is that Kerrigan finally has some braincells however she's running out of options and it's a 3v1, so she decided to "borrow" her newest creations from Abathur (a.k.a. the Swarm Queens) even if it's still a prototype. This "testing" has proved to be superior than the flying Brood Queens hence why Abathur decided to greenlit this project aside from Kerrigan's inability to control the whole Zerg in the Koprulu Sector. (Another headcanon is that two of these queens are the named queens from HotS)
I added Kerrigan in the original campgn map and find her often get killed by science vessel radiation. I guess that’s why they remove Kerrigan hero unit in the original campaign map.
I recorded almost every engagement so that should give some idea of how and where to build your defenses. Other than that you just have to be fast and that improves in time.
DuGalle should have fired himself. He made some questionable decisions throughout the story. Even Kerrigan said it to him: "You know, Admiral. Stukov was twice the man you are. I'm glad you saved me the trouble of killing him."
@@JH24821 Ya, in retrospect it was lousy, DuGalle just taking advice from some mongrel he just met and then betraying Stukov without asking or doing further research is hard to believe, he really had it coming.
@@nicolasportela5513 Yeah, I like DuGalle's character, but he was way too trusting of Duran. Stukov had vision knowing they wouldn't be able to control the sector without the disruptor.
*meanwhile in another timeline...* Kerrigan: Now its time to wreck the Protoss, UED and Dominion- Tassadar resurrected from the Void: HERE COMES THE GANTRITHOR Kerrigan: OH NO- Tbh, 3 Coop Campaign was a pain in the butt, even i tried on 2023 with friends to pass the first campaign but it was still more hardcore, we got stuck on episode 1 Also Nral, any future plans to bring Insurrection (an another extra campaign) 2 coop?
love how they sign out from briefing one by one than all of them instead like some other scenarios is there a coop where you sharing unit limit and resource ?
@@donipamungkas5370 I think limited supply ruins the fun. It should be 200 for each player to have large scale of battles like in this one. That's why I don't like Warcraft 3 co-op.
