As an African, even I am very cautious around my fellow Africans to know how to treat others. My people are the most intelligent, insightful and spiritual people. Never underestimate Africans. The wisdom running among Africans is out of this world. So my advice to our fellow Bros and Sister in America, learn to be humble. There is a say in African cultures: You eat every word and you fall for every action. Just know we Africans don't hate you, but I also know that there is a time were Africans will no longer reassure our Bros and Sister in the Diaspora that Africa is waiting. The time is now, but the time is running out.

My Queen, the motherland isn't getting the highest character folks running over to the motherland, but the broke and broken bringing their ignorance with them, or the fast-talking hustlers, who don't have a mindset of adding to Africa, but trying to get what they can get. Even a lot of the celebrities are high level hustlers who only want to go to exploit. As we say here, all skinfolk are not kinfolk. I am blessed that I have bonds with many African young adults the past few years and it's something I've always wanted. There are times when the mothers will hug me when a decade ago we'd pass one another and not speak. So there is some slow growth with those who have the heart and ears to hear. Understand, many of our youth here in the US don't even speak to us elders. The ignorance is deep, but we can't give up. I am waiting for my ancestral DNA and I will be going to visit. I'm very nervous and excited. I will follow your advice.

It’s NOT an American vs African thing as it’s being presented. Some people are just out for themselves and they would give the same disrespect to another American, European, Canadian etc….. Just like Americans have to learn discernment it’s a lesson everyone has to learn. There are many Americans that live peacefully outside of America but very few people share those stories ..the videos that perpetuate division are the ones that get highlighted as if that’s the majority. After recently visiting both The Gambia & Senegal myself, from my experience I can say that: Gambians, (in general) like all of the diaspora, tend to be somewhat delusional when it comes to utilizing their own assets to the best of their interests. Seemingly, when it comes to making real life personal and social improvements, they would rather rely on religions (they have a strong Muslim base there), prayers & trickery to accomplish the things that they themselves need to righteously accomplish on their own willful 'take action' intent. They can, and do often show subtle self-hatred for each other as well as any 'new coming' Black diaspora. However, at the same time you will find those individual Gambians who can and do show real love. Gambia, to me, is a place that has the potential for great opportunities; yet, as I often commented in the past, there Black Diaspora problems are also mainly center around: Not Having Economic Productive Type Values (Needing Someone Else To Do What You Yourself Should Do), Not Maximizing On The Full Utilization Of Your Community's Or Continent's Natural Resources, Not Having Overall Desire Or Values Toward True Ancient, Historical Knowledge & Science, And The Belief Or Idea Of A Non-proven, One All Omnipotent God / Religions.
@@wr066 Yeah, these issues are symptomatic of the global Diaspora. Our Colonizers did their jobs well. And yes, that's also a reason why I opted to not choose The Gambia 🇬🇲 for the reasons you named (especially as an Islamic country). I will be heading to Rwanda 🇷🇼 for a business trip in March. That will likely be my place of residence next year.
