I love how onbrand it is that the Irish showed up to the battle late, moving into the wrong position, and probably already a little tipsie. But then bar-brawled their wayh to victory

22:22 Apollo , that was legit a tactic used by the catholic forces when the Dutch invented the Volley Fire Spanish Tercios would literally duck whenever they saw a Volley happening , then after they fired , they would get back up and charge the lines

You can bring more than 2 artillery pieces depending on the army you play. It just gets pretty pricey and is not usually worth the investment as you still need adequate amounts of infantry and Calvary. If the map has a river that isn’t crossable in many places that’s when you see players bring more and more artillery. Love these videos keep them coming! Edit: the rule thing you were talking about with mass charge isn’t necessarily against the rules. It’s often called blobbing, and it’s really just when you do that mass banzai. With conventional armies it’s generally frowned upon, but not against the rules. However when you play with a militia army like Ireland or USA or even some Prussian armies, that mass militia charge is to be expected and no one can complain because that strategy is THE strategy to that army, it’s militia that’s all it can do lol.

When you see a hoard of angry Irish farmers running at you…you run!!! I learned my lesson the hard way ☘️😂

Irish soldiers Catholic and Protestant formed the backbone of the British Army for over two hundred years. Had a massive impact in North America. Many of the great American Generals had Irish roots. In the American War of Independence Ulster Scots settlers defeated a loyalist army at the Battle of kings mountain North Carolina. Irish soldiers were over represented in the Wartime SAS and Mao Tse Tung learned guerilla warfare from the IRA in the War of Irish Independence.

Agree, this is best, as strategy through movement becomes absolutely essential. Imagine a medieval army that needs to really scout well, or get nasty surprises during the battle. Even the AI should support some generals to be more cunning.

France had a big opportunity to win on the Swedish side if they had charged the left side while the cavalry was behind the lines, instead they moved closer and continued the gun fight. Had they charged then, they would have broken at least 3 units and forced Sweden to retreat

Well, now we know that if someone want to win against British army in NTW3, the only thing that you have to do is use Franco-Irish Army and make a wild charge; nothing like an angry Irish regiment. XD

I know people have mixed opinions on outlander, but if there's one thing I can say about it, it got me into learning more about Scottish and Irish history.

Holy shit what a fun fight. All of these people played well for the most part.

As much as I like to root for France in these, I'm rooting for the Irish here.

Great video and I love especially NTW3 gameplay! But: The Irish player was clearly exploiting the moral system in NTW3 with his large militia units and mass charges.
