THE RAID 2 (2014) is INSANE!!!! - Movie Reaction - FIRST TIME WATCHING 

And we are back with the Raid!! This time the sequel to the phenomenal first film and WOW! This movie really lived up to the raid name! The fights in this were so clean, crisp, beautiful, and violent and the cinematography took a huge step up from the last film as well. This film was a masterclass in action filmmaking and I can't wait to watch it again! Thanks for watching! Have a great day! :)

To show what a coldly efficient killer The Assassin is, they used a cold color palette the white walls, polished steel and bluish lighting for his the final fight against Rama in the kitchen, but they took it a step farther by making it snow in Jakarta for the scene when he kills Prakoso. Cecep Arif Rahman said in an interview that, in real life, he teaches English at an elementary school. He and Yayan Ruhian (Prakoso in "The Raid 2" and Mad Dog in "The Raid") appear in "John Wick 3" as two of the assassins who fight John Wick.

such a great movie. i'm glad you guys liked it. trust me, watch The Night Comes For Us next. it has a lot of the same actors in both Raid films. Iko Uwais plays the bad guy in it. Joe Taslim (Jaka from the first Raid) plays the lead role. even Hammer Girl plays a character who's even more badass. fair warning, TNCFU is more violent than both Raid films combined and there's way less cutaways from violent finishers. P.S. did you know the 2 Asian fighters John Wick fights with his belt in the 3rd film is Mad Dog and the boss in the kitchen fight in this film.

Gareth Evans signed a multi-film deal with Netflix and has one of the biggest budget Welsh films coming out soon (Havoc)

Prakoso was meant to be a foreshadow of what Rama would be if he stayed in too long and too deep. Outcasted by his family, can't even see his own son, living the rest of his life as the guard dog of a mafia family, and eventually die (pretty much) alone.

I'd highly recommend checking out The Night Comes For Us and Headshot next. Both great movies starring Iko Uwais with lots of action.

If you like THE RAID SERIES I'm pretty sure you're going to love this two movies, i really recommended * HEADSHOT (iko uwais) *THE NIGHT COME FOR US (joe taslim, iko uwais)

You should be on the lookout for Havoc, which is the next Gareth Evans directed action movie coming to Netflix sometime this year (or possibly next year if it gets delayed), it stars Tom Hardy and it's going to be so awesome. Gareth Evans also directed a horror movie for Netflix called Apostle, if you'd like to check out what he does in another genre; and Gangs of London, which is a TV show he was a showrunner for (and he directed episode 1 and 5) I'd also agree with everybody who says to check out The Night Comes For Us, which is like The Raid, but immensely more violent/gory (it's cartoonishly brutal). Merantau and Headshot are also cool, but they're movies from directors who are still finding their footing with directing action, and are only worth it if you are really starving for more Iko Uwais Silat.

I’ve got a request for you: Rosemary’s Baby! It’s one of the best movies ever, if not Polanski’s best. If you lived “Chinatown” you’ll love this 1968 horror movie (it doesn’t share anything with Chinatown, except for fascinating characters and a fascinating story). It’s often considered one of the best horror movies, which is a little misleading because there is little of the gore you expect from a horror movie, it’s just one of those movies that is extremely disturbing and will stay with you. The ending is one of the best in any film. If you’re studying film or acting, you need to see it. I don’t want to tell you much about the story, it would spoil the plot. The story behind the movie is also fascinating (and grim) if you’ve ever read the book “Helter Skelter”. The building the movie is set is the famous Dakota apartment building on Central Park West and West 72nd Street in Manhattan (it’s called the Branford building in the movie). Countless famous people have lived there, and it’s where John Lennon lived from 1973 until 1980 when he was shot to death in the entryway of the building (where a gruesome scene takes place in the movie). The exterior scenes were shot at the Dakota, but the interior scenes were shot at a studio in L.A.

Hi. Since you enjoyed the ‘before’ trilogy why don’t you watch the Three Colours trilogy by Kieślowski. They are amazing. You can watch them in any order but most people watch Blue, White and Red. They are all masterpieces and indeed Julie Delpy is in the white. It’s hard to say which one is my favourite but Red is a good one and has a big reveal in the end.

Why didn't you mention the music?! Wasn't the music really good? I can't believe you didn't talk more about the music! I'm just messing with you lol. But one thing I cannot believe you didn't add/mention in this video, after going on about the camera work, is the camera shot during the car chase scene. The camera was literally passed straight through from person to person, car to car. There's a behind-the-scene of that car chase on RU-vid if you ever want to check it out.
