We once had a customer who turned up at 1750 every Friday for 3 weeks leaving after our 1800 closing time. Pissed off the salesman on duty and 4th Friday he was locked in the showroom and had to be released by the petrol pump attendant. Never seen him after that. I used to like when someone went away to think about it and came back 2 days later and the car they looked at was sold.
I recall having a guy round to see a car I had for sale. He was unsure about several things and wouldn't put a deposit on it, but deffo wanted it. Muck Fe did he moan off on one when he phoned back two days later ans wanted to come back "sorry mate" the day after you uhmed and arrhed, Chap came round, paid cash and drove it way, you are a snoozer and a loozer
Many years ago I worked for a retailer where in one branch an elderly chap collapsed and died by the checkouts. On that day it was very quiet and a young supervisor had been left in charge. In summary he phoned the manager to tell him what had happened but not to worry about sales as he had taken the deceased customer on a trolley into the warehouse so that the store could continue to trade. The paramedics attended and were quite rightly shocked to find the body propped up against the wall on a pallet after only been told that a customer had collapsed. The ramifications for the business were huge and they managed to keep the publicity quiet but at a substantial cost. Different times.
If you want an unusual event on holiday. We were in Goa, India in a taxi to a night market. At a junction, middle of the road. A guy clutches his chest. Falls back brown bread. People stepped over him, talking to their friends, didn’t even look down. Cars drove around him. A driver ahead got out. At last someone kind will help? Nope. Dragged him to the side of the road by his ankles. Someone else held their hands up, upset. Family? No checked his pockets for cash, then looking bit cheesed off walked away. Our driver didn’t let us out. He Said “no. police. bad” Clearly they’re worried about being dragged into some investigation or linked to the incident. Not much dignity in death. Well for the poor at any rate.
We make boats mainly for rivers and canals we have had customers that carry on for ages even as long as 3 years, keeps asking for a quote on different sizes of boat. Some have visited many times and finally they have said we have the money and we will send you a deposit, and that's the last we have heard from them. One man order a boat we started building it he paid us a few thousand deposit, and we never saw him again he didn't answer his mobile or reply to e mails. Don't worry we all get them.
Mate and I had a back street garage and it was sometimes like the local clubhouse. Regulars stopped by whilst walking the dog, woman opposite in and out to use the phone and various traders just to kill time between deals. Bit inconvenient when we were busy but a Godsend if one of us on holiday or out collecting parts as another pair of hands always useful.
I have a Meriva VXR and had the same problem with the power steering. Had it sent off to ECU testing for it to be refurbished. Touch wood. I've not had any problems with it since, and it comes with a lifetime warranty on it.

I have to say, vehicle score is fantastic. Im looking for a newer car right now and having seen some cars i quite fancied ive been using vehicle score to check them. Its saved me from buying a car with dodgy mileage already. Definitely worth using

I had a 3 year old original Meriva with 12k miles. The power steering used to fail every month or so. Apparently it was a common fault and Vauxhall knew about it. There was an ongoing class action against GM, but they were ignoring it. So l part ex’d the car ( losing a pile of money) as l wouldn’t have liked to have sold it privately
I love going to Spain, the Canaries and so on but I would not like to be the victim of a crime when over there. Thankfully the worst I have had is my phone stolen but that was enough to form my opinion. Hope the rain clears up the rest of the week!

I always think of Palma Nova as the posh part of Magalluf.with them been next door to each other, been to Majorca 5 times , Twice to Magalluf also Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa & Alcudia at 54 won't be going to Magalluf again ot Alcudia as it stinks due to been reclaimed & its also bad oman , within 2 days my ex Mrs died suddenly. Regarding test drives i must have bought at least 40 cars since i was 17 . Ive only once ever taken a test drive and that was only because the garage owner chucked me the keys & said give it a good test drive, i bought it.
A wee question about engine management light..firstly my EML is not on...but if i do an OBD scan could it find any issues even if light isn't on ?..would doing a scan coz any issues..hope all that make sense lol👍

My wife owns a crystal and holistic stall every time shes at a certain venue the same lady comes and picks the The same holistic item up asks what it is how much what the dimensions are and can my wife put it away for her and she will be back later that day with the cash but never comes with the money. At a. Different location a man told my wife to keep the change which was about 12 quid and to pay it forward to someone else so my wife used it to pay for the item said lady always comes for and gave the lady the item for free the lady took it an hour later a man I presume her husband came down raging demanding their money back as they don’t need this kind of stuff . Took about an hour convincing him. It was a gift from us.😂

With the lady who keeps turning up to test drive different cars , You should politely ask her if she can contribute towards your petrol costs as obviously if she's driving it around 5 miles out then 5 miles back there's 10 miles of petrol gone and nowadays 10 miles has got to be around £1.50p sounds petty but your in business to make money not lose money and in regards to her son being a very big lad i don't think he would be violent as he cant be that daft in this day and age he knows cameras everywhere and GBH is like 5 years in prison , my cousin used to go around in Kings Lynn acting Jack the Lad and he ended up in prison , it was a good thing for him as they trained him to become a plumber.

Tayna batteries is good or ebay, we use GSF group for ours as we get good deals on drivetec and yuasa batteries. Just avoid Euro car parts lion batteries as they are poor
