I usually try to stick with US versions for my collection but I just had to go with the Asian version this time. It looks so much better (and it’s actually accessible).
Me too. I got it last year from PlayAsia and it's the highlight of my Switch collection. This year I managed to get 2 packs of both VII and VIII as well as X and X-2 when PlayAsia was having a sale.
@@yoshi_drinks_teayou do realize that's how a collector's Market works? Unopened limited runs of popular products. If it was just we're honestly lucky that the pixel remastered had any kind of physical release at all they wanted to go purely digital.
The switch Asian English version of Final Fantasy pixel remaster comes with box art inside the game case the North American release does not Asian price is $74.95 it doesn't sell that cheap but you are getting six games
I've got a pbone with over 300 gigs on it. I have every single nes, snes, 64, gamecube, Sega[MD-dreamcast], ps1, gb, gbc, gba, PSP, ds, and 3ds game ever made on that phone for free. (Dont worry goverment agency who is reading this. At one point I had an entire library so its legal 😉😉)
Its easier just to get the Asia version. It only costs $80 & is mulit languages including English. Plus unlike the American release there no limit to copies printed. Thank you Play-Asia.
What’s funny is the Asian version actually has nice sprite artwork on inner packaging and NTSC version has just white. Give me the cooler version any day.
Great for you! I got mine for $112 USD on Amazon with the exact same games. Yours has the ESRB rating, so... it makes it special for you. And that's what is important. For you to enjoy what you bought.
got ff pixel remaster on switch from play asia. Its an absolute joy. Ive beaten FF 1 through 4 so far and I am currently making my way through 5. The quality of life improvements like combat on/off option and the redone music is all so good. Only thing I dislike is the re done combat music of FF6. Original FF6 combat music is much better. Luckily you can play with original soundtrack too :)
Bought my EU copy from Ropecon Tabletop gaming event/Fair last year for around 100 euros, knowing that the prices had already shot up. Wasn't taking chances.
For those of you looking for this game be sure to get the correct version. The one he has is the rare one with the ESRB rating. It’s about 300 dollars. There is another version that is not as rare and has no ESRB rating on the cover that goes for about 100.
I managed to get a cartridge (no box) off eBay for quite cheap, less than what I would have had to pay if I got it officially actually and only a little bit more than if I just got them digitally. I was really surprised when all 6 games appeared individually on the switch’s home page, I thought the collection would come under one game
Yea I had to get digital for the pixel remaster collection I was kinda bummed cause its very special to me. I am still very grateful I have it at all, but I wonder why they didn't make more.
Just got this myself not realizing how rare it is, I’m sure once Switch is discontinued it’ll be even harder to get as time goes by. Fortunately it is available digitally and no forced limited time availability for Digital. So get it if you can either way.
I learned a lot watching this informative short video. My question is was there not an officially released final fantasy 7,8,and 9 in North America and you said Final Fantasy 10/10-2 does not have 10 two on the cart?
I got the North American one brand new Mercari… for $50. Damn I almost feel bad, that person didn’t know what they had and I had no idea what I was getting lol
Ah yes, pay $300+ to buy a version of the game with the esrb label on it or buy the Asian version which costs much less and has nice box art in the inside.....Which to choose?
the American. Cause I'm American. and can't read Asian languages. Also assuming the in-game text is Asian only. Also I don't have Switch, so won't be buying either.
I was really upset about this. I was still trying to get full time work when they decided to release this. I never even had a chance. There are the digital versions, but it's just not the same.
I'd say most of the AUS Pal copies had less than 25K prints, took me a few years to track down a good condition 7 and 8 Remaster with both games on the cart with an AUS rating. If your talking total amounts of the games I understand but variants is a whole other league
Actually, the best version of the FF Pixel Remaster is the Asian version because it has a clear cover without the rating information on it. But great collection you have there!
You seem to know nothing of physical collecting. Asian copies of it are able to be obtained from play Asia, but that certainly isn't easily obtainable.
The sad thing is, people who actually love the game usually never gets the copy. The scalpers, buy out everything resell it sky-high. I do have the copy myself just 1. But yeah its a sick world!
I dont know why i HAVE TO HAVE FF on Nintendo. Its a must for me! I just bought X-X2 i been trying to get it for almost a year! Wonderful collection homie.
I would love to get my hands on a copy of 1-6 pixel edition for the switch, but no way im paying what they priced it at for 30 year old games, we already have multiple copies of.
