Yes been there with sick kids but it’s definitely a lot harder when you’re away from home and you have three to juggle. At least you guys can still laugh when things get tough. 👍👍👍

My youngest suffered with croup every winter but he grew out of it, it's a scary thing the first couple of times but you learn how to deal, thank goodness you both are great at parenting lovya guys

Sorry to see the medical emergency. Our youngest was the adventurous type who had us in the emergency room a few times and it certainly is no fun. Nick is turning into a National Geographic photographer with all the marine life shots lately.

Whoo hoo, another episode! I'll leave a comment after the vlog. WOW! it's always a bit scary when you finally decide that there is nothing for it BUT to take you child to hospital! Been there done that! more than once. Still, all's well that ends well! Well done that you were close enough by. Normally you would not be. I'm sure it was nothing, but you never know with kids. PERHAPS you might look into having a small O2 kit (bottle mask and lines) in the van should similar happen again. Do the course (both of you - it's not hard), and then if any of the kids have an anaphylactic reaction you can at least administer some O2. Perhaps even consider getting an Eli-pen to keep close by in the 1st Aid kit. If you're remote it might be just the thing. It can't hurt if not required.

If you put your boat in what you called a lake, is actually Princess Royal Habour, directly over there other side of the harbour is one of the sister whale boats of the whale boat that is at the whaling station sitting on the habour floor rotting away, you can drive your boat right up to it.

I can remember going to see the Gap at Albany in 1986. We were there to see the Australian motorcycle TT races. We were sort of overwhelmed by the violent shaking of the surrounding rocks of the Gap, but it wasn't till much later that we realised this was aftershocks from the earthquake that destroyed the WA country town of Meckering!

Well guys we suppose you are glad that week is over, sickness on the road is never enjoyable, croup is not a good thing when you're a kid and probably even more so if you are the parent of the child. As a child I suffered from it a lot but in those days we had only very basic treatments such as Vicks Vapour rub under the nose and on the chest or Vicks in a bowl of hot water and breathing the vapour with a towel over your head, amazing the way those memories imprint on you.❤❤

Good effort in those conditions guys.. Great to see the rawness of what its like to travel full time. Remote Locality First Aid might be worth looking at. It ss a worthwhile course to do and will give you potentially lifesaving skills.

Im so sorry you had to discover croup. My now 33yo son had croup as a baby in fact he was released from hospital on his 3rd Birthday. We spent a few nights in and out of hospital between 3 - 5 years. He now has a son 20 months who is also a crouper but the older Son 4, has never had it. 30 years ago I was told (sea air) is good for croup, not sure if thats still the case.
