A favorite President of mine in the home of another favorite President of mine. I have pictures of President Reagan, President Jefferson and President Lincoln....as well as a huge replica of The Declaration of Independence hanging on my walls at home. American history is so fascinating.

Me too. My husband shook his hand once after the hostages in Iran were released back in 1981. He and his father stood out in the rain just to get a glimpse of President Reagan and Reagan being the thoughtful gentleman he was, walked over to the small crowd and shook everyone's hand.

I wouldn't. Immature, pedophile, as well as hypocrite that adds to the title of slaver writing the declaration of Independence. In fact, because daddy didn't send them to the assembly, they were other people willing to read the declaration of Independence.

8:35 the 250 square foot south pavilion he first lived in during construction. Amazing place to visit.

Interesting how humbled Reagan seemed when he toured the house, and then, when he stepped back onto Marine One, he was the President again.

I was honored to meet him in the EOB Theater in 1988, his last year, as a young U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant (the EOB being part of the "White House Complex" then and NOW). His charisma was AMAZING! And of a grandfatherly, LOVING type.

Reagan is the one republican president I would’ve liked to actually meet. Regardless of policy differences, we were all Americans above anything else to him, and I respect that a lot.

Totally agree as well. He is one of the better republican presidents I'll give him that. And atleast he was professional of the position he had unlike the current one which will change very soon.

I was little over 4 when this happened. I still remember Pres. Reagan's many appearances on TV (he was the most powerful man on Earth afterall, so he was always on the news). I knew no English back then, only my native Italian, and as I said, I was 4, so I understood nothing of what he said even when some sort of translation was provided, but I liked his warm, reassuring voice, and his friendly, smiley face. Maybe that was just an illusion, a part of the show, but as a kid, I kind of felt him as a positive presence. And in a historical perspective, he WAS a positive presence in the international landscape. Just only imagine if instead of him, a different, more recent, more impulsive, less sensitive, tangerine-colored President had to deal with the Soviet Union in its final most critical years.

If I was Reagan I would tell the guide "Come with me and I'll show you another house he lived in"! On a side note, why is he touching the artifacts? That's a no no.
