I’m an introvert since birth and you perfectly described me. People often think I’m weird or crazy but I vehemently protect my peace, my privacy and my space. I too prayed for God to make me different and more open but I realized that he made me perfectly and wonderfully me and I’m okay with that

I have often been told lm standoffish, boring, stuck and lacking in ambition simply because lm most at peace in a quiet space because l dont speak without a need and choose to listen more because l enjoy moving at a slower pace and lm not always chasing the next big achievment because my values are centered around my close circle and material things dont impress or excite me.lve been made to feel like lm both odd and abnormal. Hearing you speak validates me and tells me its ok to be me.l thank you so much.Peace and blessings❤

I could cry. So many people have called me stuck up, stand offish, not personable, too quiet. In fact, nothing is wrong. God says, “Who said you were ___?”

I’m an introvert as well, a lot of people draw to me and it can be overwhelming at times talking a lot. Some people think I’m stuck up, because I don’t talk a lot, whole time I’m observing and being aware of who to give my energy to. I’ve been a loner my whole life. Most of the time I don’t want to entertain people, I rather just have their presence around. It’s a challenge to make friends because, I end up being a listening ear for people and not once do they know anything about be. Sometimes I wonder if God created me to be a listening ear lol. Yup! And many times, people think I'm "acting funny." Sometimes I just don't want to "people. " My energy is drained. Like I barely have time for the things I need to do, and here, someone else wanting what I have left, which is barely anything at all.

You hit it spot on, I love being alone but at the same time, I'm overwhelmed by the loneliness. Also being misunderstood is an understatement. God has given me a high-intensity spirit of discernment which is a blessing but can also be a weight. I can see things in people, which keeps me away. I'm always in my head over-thinking things. When I desperately need to shut it down, I get into the word of God and He speaks truth to me. It upholds my sanity. God Bless you and keep you Sis!!

"Peopling" is draining, especially those who I am not yet sure of. I literally take two days of solitude to recover from a social event. I prefer small groups, one on ones, etc. I can do large groups on occasion, but it can be depleting feeling all of the energy (positive, negative, and everything in-between) swarming around the space that I don't really care about.

This is me! I cried on this one because someone else really understands it! People label introverts especially if they think you are cute as stuck up, but not knowing that person is the most loyal, respectful, truest friend that only brings love, happiness & motivation… just selective on who will receive it well with good intentions & honesty. Your content is so touching. I’m also an introvert and in my 40’s. I didn’t realize I was an introvert until I was in my 30’s. Most of the family I was born into is very extroverted. So I spent the better portion of my youth trying to be more extroverted when I wasn’t. I guess I thought (back then) there was something wrong with the way I am naturally. Over the years our language and understanding of introversion has expanded. Now I know better.

I just moved into my own apartment a couple weeks ago after a divorce and nobody has my address. Which was intentional. I am in the space of soaring in my thoughts and emotions. Wow this is me. I thought i was broken, and why i don't fit in to society, not into gossip or can't deal with ppl negative energy. But i am now realising this is just me and even when i have tried to change i can't. I often try to fight against my introverted ways but i can’t, people often mistake me as being antisocial not understanding that i get drained so easily being around ppl longer then i want to be. I resonate with this. Oddly enough I was an extrovert until I became a mother. Protecting my children became more important than my desire to socialize. Now that my children are getting older I still prefer my own company inside my home. It’s peaceful this way.

Wow. Today I woke up, ready and focused to do a 3 day water fast. Out of habit I opened RU-vid, then quickly closed the app and said "I don't want to do any soical media during my fast". I went downstairs to set up my laptop station for work and opened RU-vid again. Your video was the first thing I saw. I read the title twice and began to listen. I needed to hear all of this at this very moment, and I feel like The Most High lead me here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and warmth with us. I subscribed immediately.

I understand more why I'm attracted to this channel. I too am an introvert. Since young, I've accomplished my most deepest passions (writing, music & art.) Though I'm very humorous, reserved and private, yet my interpersonal skills assists me much in life. Being consumed can help create our cocoons. 😅 So true listening to Lisa expressing herself to say "She try not to stay in her mind but many introverts do as we think etc." Haven't met many as myself, however, I've been blessed to receive close friends, who appreciate and admire my natural self. Feeling comfortable around others is vital important. It feels heavenly letting down our guards and defenses down, to a tiny selected few who are pure, genuine and safe for us. First time here. Im am finding myself "reverting" back into being an introvert over the past 2 years. But i realise that it never left, i just conformed and kinda morphed into what was socially preferred. And even though i enjoyed that years of "extroversy" it has left me emotionally physically and spiritually exhausted. Ive been on a 2 year journey of isolation with the occasional meetup, just trying to find my inner equilibrium again. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm an introvert and have always felt like an outcast among my peers because I don't feel the need to talk loudly to be heard or the need to fight to interject my opinion in a conversation where everyone is talking over one another. Conversations that I want to be a part of are the ones where space is made for everyone to participate... that feels so rare these days. There is so much talk of inclusion, but I often feel like no one is thinking of the introverted people when we speak of inclusivity... it's more seen as a negative trait that should be addressed and overcome.

I never felt so seen before ❤ you described me to a t. Not wanting to be hugged at large events as a child, to now not wanting to go to the grocery store as an adult. But instead of being understood being told I was stuck up or thought I was cute. Thank you for this, you spoke to my soul.

This was very soothing to my soul, & You perfectly described my energy to the T. I'm hyper sensitive to feelings & it drains me out when I haven't yet spent enough time in the presence of the Lord. & Always when I get back home alone in a safe place I then again need recharging up & enough time to sit still to get my mind balanced of things that just took place & then of what is to come. I truly can't understand God's plans with me being like this however I'm sure one day he will reveal but in the meantime it feels amazing to hear others relate,& help me realize I'm not crazy not weird, just one made of a spiritual purpose

I thought I was weird as a teen and a younger woman. Sometimes, I would force myself to get out and mingle with people. Now that I am 39, I look forward to my time alone. My peace is priceless, and I protect it at all cost.

I feel the same about celebrity gossip its not worth it. I dont like to gossip period. Its funny how society wants you to be a certain way but if you try to change them (which is not your intentions) they wont like that. Do onto others that you want to be done onto you. Celebrities whomever are people just like you and I. I too get critiqued for being unique and I feel so bad or deeply hurt for not being myself. I'm glad your brave to be yourself on RU-vid, showing your face not being afraid to be YOU. I respect that to the fullest. By the way, your voice is so soothing 🙂

I appreciate this on such a profoundly deep level. I am an introverted cashier and customers often don’t know how to approach me because I am not engaging with them in the same high volume way they are with me. They are unsure of how to react to my facial expressions standing still. My heart is big, but my silence and introspection alongside the lack of shifting facial expressions cause others around me to wonder why I am not behaving in the same manner as them. I lean on Jesus for every social interaction because socially interacting feels like I am climbing a mountain. But then when I reach the top I am struggling to catch my breath still instead of sitting down to enjoy the view because I am discerning how to best proceed in conversation and process everything that is happening. I am a cashier in obedience to where the Lord has me and needs me even though I am not extroverted. Being a cashier when I am super introverted has been a huge trial for me but also brings me closer to Jesus. I am thankful we can go to Jesus with all of our overwhelming feelings. Socially interacting drains me really quickly and feels overwhelming, like constant waves. I am thankful God made us all differently, and I know He has purpose in the introversion. He has good purpose here. He always does. Thank you for being real, for being authentic. Thank you so much sister. God bless you!

I guess Miss could have spoken much better than this..I felt like this woman read my life, knowing my everyday routine..me being in bed even when my families are seated in the sitting room...even in my village..I hardly leave my house to visit other's unless I'm going in search of missing animals...I thought I had some life problems..asking myself questions that even I myself couldn't find answers to..I enjoy lonely, else I go out and watch nature coz it heals and feel renewed and fuelled after seeing birds singing, animals reacting towards each other in one kind of ways...that's therapeutic and nothing feels better than listening to atmosphere

After years of me trying to change myself I finally accept that I’m an introvert because I’m tired of being fake 🌷 someone recently said to me you were created the way you are for a reason and to the right people you make a very very good friend

I felt seen. Thank you. I always was left of center, I'm a homebody and quite introverted. I find it easier to write my thoughts than to speak them, and It's hard to be social and make friends when your social battery is so small. Sometimes I feel like it's too late to even delve into making new friends. Personal time and peace is so sacred for us introverts and we mustn't let just anyone invade that space. We're often misunderstood, yet gentle people. It's nice to see others with similar experiences. Thank you for your words.

I feel seen! I recently started working in a corporate environment and i am expected to engage, and I have been so anxious and praying to God to make me open but this made me realize that this is the way God made and i have to unconditionally accept myself.

This was sooo peaceful, and I can totally relate to this 😭💗. I sometimes feel so misunderstood especially as a young introverted person people are often confused as to why I’m not clubbing, going out 24/7 etc.. At times I’ve wondered what’s wrong with me, but you’re right God made us all different and I will move at my pace and do what’s purposeful and good for me and not compare myself ❤. I can agree with this 1000%. Im an introvert myself and i love my peace and quiet and cant stand for it to be disturbed. I've been misunderstood my entire life and its cool because I am who I am and not changing for anyone. You either love me for who I am or love me from afar. Sometimes I send out my energies and sometimes get misunderstood. Especially in a negative light. This I cannot accept at this time in my life. Therefore I go back into my introverted side. Until I learn how to work with the negativity, while still being calm, quiet, and loving towards self and others. Like Jesus did. SOME family members are the worst. i related to a lot of things in this video, like the overthinking about god, life, the end of life, what i should have said or what i've should have done, etc. but the sitting in the back thing really related to me. back when was religious i used to sit in the back at church to be out of the way and when i called my pastor for advice on a serious matter, he used it against me. i never knew sitting in the back bothered people like that. i always sat in the back in places, school, the bus, gatherings, it wasn't personal, that's just me.

I too Queen....my Mom screamed at me once stating: "You act like I'm not part òf the family!!"...at age 8yrs. of age. My Mom being Gangsta us being "Chicago" and my having to speak on being overstood had to carefully select my response. I then asked her if I could answer her statement. After the permission given I asked: "Am I your Son??"... She said that I know I'm her son. I then asked: "Is this my bedroom??"... Yes Dana!! She exclaimed. I then said definitively and confidently said: "Then I'm part of the family", walking towards the kitchen for my bowl of cereal. Behind me I heard her say: "That Boy!!". I "feel you" as if you were me looking into me as my gaze goes through you and back towards my with a "new knowing". Your flame blazes with all who feel your words and hear its messages. I do....and instantly healed. Fighting every inch of my life without ceasing, seemingly ever constant... I finally can breathe from a friend never having met yet shifts my paradigm to loftier spaces.
