I think that's limited to Empire at War, in the official docs the Mass Drivers are relegated to "Mass driver missile launchers batteries" for some reason, superseding the game its specs.
@@nikik5567 only in empire at war remake mod...it does NOT have these in other sources as far as I know...but its one of the coolest designs ever in all of Star Wars for sure with these heavy massdrivers.
If they showed the Keldabe in the Mandalorian it would have been glorious in the season 3 finale. Sadly we got a weird space battle with ships that disappeared from one episode to the next
They could have also brought back the Kandosii type dreadnought. That ship is just as good at the Keldabe class battleship. And the weapons they have are just as impressive. Let it be known that if you want some badass weapons like Blasters or capital ship weapons, the Mandalorians are the people you want to talk to.
@@dogloversrule8476 I heard that ship was meant to be sold to the Empire. However they didn't have any interest in it and therefore was not purchased. It was sold off to some Planetary Defense Forces, it even went to a few Imperial warlord factions after the battle of Endor. The anti starfighter laser cannons on that small Corvette can shred their squadrons of starfighters.
@@princeofpokemon2934 yup, it was good enough that it not only was able to shoot down fighters but also missiles. It was probably the best fighter defense ship of the era if not ever
They kept hyping up that mandalorian fleet but when its flagship was a arquitens and it only consisted of maybe 10 more ships all smaller I was pretty disappointed
The Keldabe is so awesome!! It will always be my favorite capital ship in all of Star Wars, and would be my flagship if I was a naval captain in Star Wars. I really hope Dave Filoni brings them into the Mandalorian. They are just so cool and would bring the Mandalorians back to the glories thay had in ancient times during the Old Republic era. And yes, I would be super bitter if the First Order just wipe out the whole Mandalorian fleet. All that build up to just ge thrown away would be a grievous waste of potential for the Mandalorians, and would make fans very angry for them tossing away the legends that are the Mandalorians. Can you do more Mando ships like the Aggressor Star Destroyer(Zann's actual flagship from the game, even named the Merciless), Vengeance Frigate, Crusader Gunship, and Starviper Fighter? It would be really cool if you could the rest of the Mandalorian ships from Forces of Corruption.
Aggressor and Vengeance are not Mando designs, they're built from stolen Imperial blueprints. But a video on those would be nice nontheless Edit: spelling
@@ComBatKolyamba An explanation I've seen that I really like is that the Imperial Blueprints in question were for a ship that would become the Onager class. So both the Aggressor and the Onager came from the same initial blueprints. The former being adapted into a Mandalorian design and the Onager being the finished Imperial design. It also makes it easier to translate either ship from one ruleset to the other by treating their big guns as more or less in the same ballpark.
It think going forward it's going to take a while for the Mandalorians to rebuild. By the time the first order starts popping out of the unknown regions and conquering the outer rim the Mandalorians probably have built up a defendable planet but probably not enough to go out and attack. It would be pretty sweet to see a modern version of this ship constructed, paired with a swarm of fang fighters it'll definitely be dangerous even against the First Order's star destroyers.
Ya, this is what my assessment was too. They have been rebuilding and recolonizing thier territory, as well as integrating other surrounding areas that didnt join the New Republic. I highly doubt they will join the NR, its clear to see how corrupt and inefficent it is to say nothing about how they didnt help them retake Mandalore (or protect it during the rebellion).
A couple times in this video shows a Keldabe either in combat or docked at a station with "Keldabe Dreadnought" in the bottom right corner, what is this from? If it's a game then I'd love to play it, I've always wanted to pilot large ships like this in combat.
Throughout the First Order-Republic War, there was a constant battle on and over Mandalore. The Mandalorians finally beat the First Order after the battle of Exogol.
I can just imagine Snoke throwing everything. He's got at the Mandalorians, and the Mandalorians are either destroying it, stealing it, or both just to mess with him.
Honestly, if the united mandalorians do make a massive fleet, I could see them keeping it on Mandalore as an insurance policy. If the First Order wins, they reveal it and fight like hell to win themselves. Same for the Final Order too. After all, the bombardment of Mandalore has left the atmosphere to act like a sensor shield, so no scans could say if their is a fleet there. And any craft sent would be blown apart, with the cover of the atmosphere being too devastating to survive entry
That would be a very interesting set up, and a pretty good reveal for the reinstatement of their star fleet in retaliation against a threat to their homeland.
The Zann Consortium was made Canon long ago by a mobile game and I’ve been itching for someone to do something with them in the new timeline. High Republic brought the talortai back recently, so there’s even a chance they’d bring back ma boi Urai now. I’ve always been a sucker for stories or games where there was a secret third faction tearing up the Star War of the time, whether it’s the Eternal Empire or the Shadow Collective or good old Tyber Zann.
@@OMEGATHENIETZCHIAN the keldabe has longe range weapons that out range the kandosii's , and the kandosii doesn't even have shields, so it would start to get demolished before it can even fire its weapons
@@robiagacitei5487 It's also a few thousand years newer but the kendosii carries more starfighters to screen and can soak more damage even without shields. It'd take a beating but would stick it out. Equivalent time period versions there'd be no contest.
@@OMEGATHENIETZCHIAN stop overrating it, saying "equivalent time period versions" is like me saying "oh but look at my very own keldabe that has a death star" both being not real.
the Keldabe battlecruiser is a thing of beauty, no doubt about it. but man, the fun of taking it down quickly ends when the Crusader gunships show up to support it. those things *hurt.*
MetaNerdz, I share your rage at the sequel trilogy foolish, though there is a positive. At the battle of Exegol, there were wings of Mandalorian strike craft flanking the large Mon Cal MC-95s. Full squadrons of Fang fighters and Korm'k fighters at the battle. Let's just imagine post-Exegol and Final Order, the Mandalorians have had sufficient time to rebuild and have a standing Navy again!
Some EaW mods scale the Kedalbe at 1600m, making it more massive then an ISD and more powerful. Pick your poison, as there's no majorly correct size for these except "bloody huge"
I don't know why but I see the Keldabe design everywhere; it's rough design; two giant engine array that is connected to a massive central main body, that is covered with weapons. In galaxy on fire 2 Terran Battlecruiser is designed exactly like this. In storm hawks animated series Cyclonian battleships are also basically a sailorpunk version of the keldabe. Why? When this design first popped up into existence?
I signed up to pixel starships when it wasn't even released. It's nice to see an old friend get a mention Canderous said it himself, if the mandalorians won their war against the jedi the sith would've been a joke
Dude I really wish X4 wasn't so PC intensive. Had a fantastic time in that Star Wars overhaul mod but after a few hours of playtime the sheer ridiculous number of starfighters in any given battle would just bluescreen my laptop. RIP in Pepperonis.
I'd point out that Keldabe and this class of ship do seem to be only properly present in legends. Which suits me jus fine, as the planet being a dustball makes it not worth the effort of fighting for. As you can see in the opening, some things are just meant to be green.
I really do love the ship design and the layout of the laser cannons across the hull with the wings. But I have to be honest, the Mandalorians are just not for me. Put this ship in the hands of the Empire, Rebellion/Republic and I am all in, truly fantastic design that mixes practicality and the class ww1/2 style of the universe's conflicts.
What if Thrawn defeats them, but is in on the schemes of the First Order like some members of the Shadow Council are? You’d feel overwhelming neutrality?
We need a remake of Empire at War, how about we boycott so that the empire of Disney has no shipyards working anymore? Until they send in a weird guy cosplaying as a Sith Lord to deal with us traitorous peasants.
I would love to see A mando fleet with capital ships Constracted by Mandal motors in collab with CEC just like with the Lancer class. They would start building these ships and work together like allies than the Mandalorians would start to clean up the Outer Rim and become a mayor power.
You know if Satine made a self defense force like the Japanese with a few a these and some crusaders those crime lords and deathwatch wouldn’t be a problem. Maybe it wouldn’t defy her beliefs if she wasn’t stubborn.
Oof. Star Wars isn't the worst for ship designs (EVE Online holds that belt, which used to be held by Star Trek), but it's still bad. But damn, that's a bad one for Star Wars.
Keldabe is still very much standing by the the rise of the Empire and is the headquartersof Mandalmotors, its subsidiaries, and the cantina that doubles as the clan assembly hall. I know you get mad at this but TCW just doesn’t fit into the Legends timeline without absolutely wrecking it.
The Keldabe's placement of weapon limits concentration to targets in front, sacrificing the ability to bring more than half the ship's firepower to bear to targets above in order to bring more of their heavy guns below. While Star destroyers and the capital ships of many other factions choose to have a "Battleship on top, carrier on the bottom" design philosophy instead. The differences in tradeoffs here make sense since Mandalorians are invariably at a severe numerical disadvantage to just about any other faction. So they may not be able to field more than one Keldabe into any but the most vital battle, if they can field one at all... While other factions (especially the Empire) invariably have a numerical advantage and can usually field 2 or 3 Star Destroyer sized vessels into any given conflict zone. Where one can invert in order to cover the fire arcs of the other if need be (as seen when the Falcon flies over the inverted ventral side of a Tector Class Star Destroyer during the battle of Endor. one of the, sadly very few examples of Star Wars remembering that ships don't have to be all be at the same... rotation as each other, a common issue in Sci-fi that is more the result of aesthetic choices by the director rather than representing the tactical considerations of the characters.)
the mandos did fight back at exagol the sequel era is not filled in enough. It would be crazy if the first order showed up and just destroyed them. in a fight mando would beat phasma with only minor difficultly though
I actually think that would be cool and in my SW5e that I am preparing to run have the Mandos as their own nation though in the future. And I am using legends mostly
i so dream of starship building game with simplistic enough building mechanics that i can play but extensive enough for me to mimic some of my favorite starships in fiction (T~T ) and unfortunately im no Thanos
Let's be honest if the Mandalorians get a good leader again. The whole Galaxy would start praying to God that they don't start Crusading and taking whole Star-systems again
