In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

Jake, great content, this type of information is very important for people like us. 1 question, for someone with a receding hairline, would you suggest getting a full hair system or should one look into something that only covers the front? I can still somewhat hide my hair loss, but when the time comes I want to be ready. Thanks.

Don't stop what you're doing, Jake. You may not quite understand how much it helps young people like me experiencing serious hair loss at a very young age, but your videos were the first hair system videos I've come across, and they might be the only thing that keeps me from feeling severely down all of the time due to my hair. Because of you I very well might be ordering my first hair system at the age of 18, and taking the leap of faith sooner rather than later. Because of that, I wanted to say thank you. You, Jake, may have saved me from many years of being miserable and discontent with myself. Never stop man, you deserve nothing less than to be as happy as you can be.

random question if i want to order a system myself u can order a base precut. but you need to send the width and length of certain areas on ur head. like one is where ur hair loss is the widest, and i can tell they mean the spot on top of ur head but my hair hasnt receded like that yet. also how would you go about cutting the hair on top of ur head, when the base thing does arive. i saw people draw like a line around the base and then cut it. but if you have alot of hair there how are you supposed to see it.

Awesome gives a good representation of your reasons. Yeah place in turkey quoted me the cost 4500 + Plane ticket 950 dollars. One thing that is great about a hair system is how simple it can be in terms of getting what you want right away. Only thing that worries me is shaving the top of my head, or placing it on my head every 2-3-4 weeks. From the looks of it ill need about 4 systems a year.

Hey jake!! Been watching your videos since some time now. I needed some advice from you. I am having hair loss but the situation is not really bad of now. It's like when my hair get wet then a little bit of scalp is visible. Now some of my friends asked me not to shave my head as they are certain of the fact that if a person is suffering from hair loss shaving will cause some of the hair not to regrow back, as they have seen that in some of their friends. So they asked me to trim them down with trimmer at setting 1. I did that. My ques now is should i trim down my hair every 5-6 days with a trimmer at setting 1? Is it safe? I'm sure you'll understand my dilemma and reply asap. Keep making the good content bro. Your videos are really informative. TIA.

Props to you for finding something that makes you happy and that you can take care of yourself and not have to pay someone else to do for you. Now, I couldn't handle the hair system, I wore one for about 2 years and for me personally it was a lot of maintenance and I figured that the amount of money I'd spend on hair systems in the long run would be about the same as a hair transplant. So I did get a hair transplant and I couldn't be happier. I was scared like everyone else but it really isn't as bad as you think. Also I did not and do not take finasteride or minoxodil. Don't let doctors lie to you and say you need it after a hair transplant because you don't. It's poison to your body. But my point is do what makes you happy and don't let other influence your decision. You look great and and the end of the day it's about what makes you happy.
@j0sinh0
@j0sinh0 3 года назад
Hi there, I desagree with you. If you have a hair transplant and you dont take finasteride, you'll lose your hair again, because the problem is in your scalp, so whatever you plant there will die...A hair transplant is the best solution if you don't care about take finasteride poison, but do not fool youself, If you don't want to take that poison, a hair transplant is not the way at all, es a temporary solution, because like I said, probabily you will lose your hair again :(

@TheZubairshakeel 3 года назад
@@j0sinh0 a little correction, it’s the follicles that are sensitive to dht and not the scalp. So if most of the hair on his top is transplanted hair then he wouldn’t need to use finasteride or minioxidil. But i agree his natural hair would fall as those follicles are dht resistant. Goal of finasteride is to stop the your natural hair from falling.

@super-super-
@super-super- Год назад
@@j0sinh0 Completely incorrect. This is something some people don't understand or are deliberately not telling it correct. The problem is not in the scalp, but in the hair itself which is influenced by DHT. The hair on the back of your head (and in some ares on the sides) is resistant to DHT, so when that hair is transplanted, that hair will not fall out and will remain there for the rest of your life. The reason for taking finasteride or other drugs is to prevent your NATIVE hair to continue falling out. Otherwise it would look strange if you have patches of transplanted hair which remains in tact, and bald spots surrounding it. Without finasteride or other drugs, some people might need several hair transplants to compensate for the continued hair loss.

We are all on our own journeys but in many respects we all go though the same stages until we decide on getting the hair system. It is the cheapest, least painful, and the quickest way To never care about hair loss again.I couldnt imagine life without it 15 years later. I wish I had decided on one at 22-23 rather than 24. started losing at 16-17..I...did rogaine for years.. I regrew a third of my hair using minoxidil mixed with retin A burned the hell out of my scalp-wasnt satisified wanted the bleached beach boy look spiked (that was the style back then) and passed out with the bleach on my scalp it looked like a scraped knee and lost everything I regrew from minoxidil/retin A...micropigmentation wasnt around back then..tried shaving head..it.accentuates balding..minoxidil also mainly helps maintain unless mixed with retin A..With minoxidil itself even combined with finasteride or avodart, maintenance is the goal, but you will never grow your hairline back to be worth it..youll grow more ear hair from dripping and hair on the crown .I had a boytoy with a terrible transplant..he used eye shadow and mascara To hide the scars..finally got him To get a hairpiece years later when I was still using Alfieri in Ft Laud on Commercial(would still use them) transplant is the worst unless scalp réduction and you need to stay on finasteride and use toppik even after thé best opérations...denied entry To Turkey..never had that experience..what a pain in the ass...i am assuming you needed a visa and didnt have it..Im sorry

Bro... I’m 20, going on 21 and my hair has thinned out like crazy in one year and I think I only have a few months before people start noticing. I’m scared af to take finasteride for the rest of my life and I tried minoxidil but it gives me bags under my eyes. Hair transplants are too expensive (people say you need to get 2 for it to look good). And sometimes you even need to take finasteride after your transplants. So I’m not willing to take medications for the rest of my life or get a transplant. So I’m only left with two options - hair system or bald. I used one of those photo editing apps that can make you look realistically bald, and lol... just nah dude. I look exactly like my bald 52 year old dad. In my 20s... like wtf... I don’t wanna be old yet. With hair I look exactly how a 20 year old should look. So hair system seems to be the only option and not gonna lie, they actually look pretty friggin cool. And having perfect hair for the rest of my life sounds great. Definitely gonna go this route. Just gotta save up a bit of money now and find a salon to do all of this and figure out how I’m gonna do maintenance on it without my parents finding out lol.

Hey man, thanks for convincing me that this is a waste of money and time. I started balding at 18 and after trying every natural and chemical treatment I could find, by 22 I lost pretty much 90% of my hair. But also by that time I got used to basically being a skinhead. I adopted a style to go with it and that was that. Now I'm 30 and recently I found out how natural these hair systems look(The Americans TV show, it's pretty good) honestly I never bothered looking into them before. And for a while I entertained the idea of trying one of these out. But after watching a few of your videos, I came to the conclusion that shaving my shiny bald head with a clipper every other day is much cheaper and less time consuming. This is just my opinion, but you're a handsome dude and if you would let your beard grow 1-2 inches longer and shaved your head, you'd look badass and you'd be just as handsome, if not more handsome since it would be the real, natural you. The beard isn't absolutely necessary, but being bald it gives you that manly lumberjack look. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not judging you or men who choose to wear these, I'm a bald cunt myself who briefly considered buying one and I've been through all of those negative emotions and everything else that comes with going bald, obsessively studying the hairlines of random men on the street, temporarily losing my confidence and so on, so I understand. Anyway good luck to you man, I hope one day you'll make your peace with your scalp.

He has a point but there are also lots of bald dudes who simply are disgusted with the way they look bald and have tried being bald for a long time but still hate it and hair system is the best option if done correctly imo unless you have very thick bio hair and just need minimal amounts of grafts then I can see a hair transplant being the best option IF you can or be willing to take finasteride for the rest of your life. So in the end hair system is probably the best overall choice but unfortunately society and it's stigma isn't ready to accept that for the male population. I try to look at as if we are living in the future and ahead of the game b/c eventually it will become more acceptable imo and already has to a certain extent.

@@toddk4115 I don't see why someone would fear the stigma over wearing a hairpiece unless it looked really bad. If it looks good though no one will even question whether your hair is real or not, either way I'd be happy to tell them it was fake if I thought it looked good. Our hair has no other function other than to make us look aesthetic, we can't even feel hair there's no nerves. It's just dead skin cells, we might as well wear someone else's dead skin cells if it adds to our aesthetic, it's completely rational

To much hassle having a hair system. Worrying if people will notice, when you meet a girl you eventually have to tell her, you have to spend time in the morning preparing it ..... Shave it all off and accept it and the women will come! Guys care more than women...

@Danny Ya I feel the same, and honestly, I dont think any guy personally likes being bald. I am mostly trying this just so I can feel better about my own appearance, not really for any girl.

Well his hair system is fine but he might need to adjust his hairstyle to suit his age. But hey who cares, at the end if he likes it.
