Roc-A-Fella Records was founded by Damon Dash, Kareem “Biggs” Burke and JAY-Z in 1995 under the Def Jam Recordings umbrella. Responsible for albums such as JAY-Z’s The Blueprint, Kanye West’s The College Dropout and Memphis Bleek’s The Coming Of Age, the legendary Hip Hop imprint was one of the most lucrative labels in late ’90s/2000s rap. Ultimately, Roc-A-Fella crumbled due to rumored friction between Hov and Dash.

Nah I agree with Dame’s approach. Jay is a snake and snob of a businessman,m. He needs to be called out and big name dug in the dirt. Jay’s name is big out here so he doesn’t have to take that approach. He’s fucking Dame over without saying anything, just by devaluing what Dame is trying to sell. Dame can’t go with that same approach cause his name isn’t heavy in this generation. To be heard and fight back he needs to voice his thoughts loud and clear and call Jay for what he is.

Dame looks like a clown. Roc A Fella broke up because he use to mistreat people who Jay started having business relationships with. They had to bully they’re way into the game and Dame was perfect for that, adjusting to success is what he failed to do. You can't say, "Jay wanted to go solo, that's why we broke up", OR "Jay didn't like Biggs anymore and wanted to cut him out of the deal and I was loyal to Biggs so that's why the ROC broke up" OR "Jay thought he was better than me, that's why we broke up.".... That's too many conflicting reasons, and in the end the fact that Dame thinks he has no fault in the break-up ironically shows why they broke up. Dame needs to talk about his current business ventures, not his old ones, and stop blaming one man for all the mistakes that in the end, you all made together. Funny that Dame never talks about how he was flying private to different meetings while everyone else flew commercial, and how he was taking money out of the company to fund his other business ventures.

Biggs did interviews saying directly "He didn't know what Dame was talking about & Nobody owed him anything! Biggs & Damon don't really speak now. Roc-a-fella broke because Jay-Z wanted to be the only 1 who would be in control. Afterwards....he became president of Def Jam and any rapper he taught was a competition for him he would keep their career down. Hate to say it....Hov did many "snake" shit to alot of rappers just to be on top. Smh

Lies fool. He left cuz he was tired of Dame's antics. Dame was spending company $ on private jets & Victoria secret models. Name one artist at Def Jam who career he tried to sabotage? He let X leave while clearing the 12M debt he owed clean. He got Nas outta that BS deal at Colombia got him his deal at Def Jam & gave him full creative control of his music. An L.A. Reid ran the daily operations at Def Jam. Jay main accolades as President was signing Jeezy, Ross, Rihanna, & Ne-Yo. Once he started rapping again he stepped down.

Nas already said this about Jay-Z. Camp Lo already said this about Jay-Z. And according to more people from that era who was around Biggie, apparently he even said the same thing. But Beanie, Amil, Cam, Jim, Juelz, Biggs, Dame, etc. didn’t listen and instead loved the attention they were getting just because of being around someone who was known. Their tears are delicious. Sip them instead of crying with them.

In 1977 the Rockefellers were considered one of the world's most powerful families. John D. Rockefeller is said to be the founder of The Rockefeller Dynasty in 1723. I see where Dame, Jay Z, and Biggs might have been inspired by. Ashame the outcome for these guys weren't near the same.

Really think Jay needs to find a way to amicably address this issue with Dame. Its funny because people talk about therapy and healing but get real immature around beefs. Both Jay and Dame did some hurtful things but money at stake for Dame would help his next gen. Jay seems to be further cemented financially so should really find a way to resolve this financially if personal will never be the case. A financially respectable way i should add that somewhat addresses Dame and Jays primary points.

Dame was the piece that held Rocafella together from all sides. State Property, Dipset, Beanie Sigel, Hov and Bleek all went through Dame.

If anybody knows the rap games or grew up in the rap game or grew up as an Jay-z or roc-a-fella fans should obliviously know it’s dame dash fault, 1. He was focusing on the wrong thing, 2. He was being greedy and 3. He wasn’t paying enough money to his artists as he should 4. He was moving to fast about more businesses and everybody from roc-a-fella warned dame it’s a bad idea to do that. And he didn’t listen. So now, as in results roc-fella ended, and Jay-z started ROC NATION. And build some more stars like cole and rhinnna and Kanye crazy ass. If dame wasn’t being greedy, him and hov and Biggs can share the success together and roc-a-fella could bigger then Def Jam, be better then bad boy records.
