I can relate to Shane in regards to having some great ideas shot down by your Pops. Mine(God Rest His Soul) would shoot down suggestions about getting with the times as far as him having an updated phone ,internet & all that instead of being stuck, but a outsider would suggest the same thing & he would listen

Yeah I totally agree Solomonster, what's Shane realize he was well and truly being skipped over in the line of succession, when he realized that, for no good reason, his birthright was instead going to Stephanie and Triple H, THAT is when he said "Fuck This I'm Out"

with WWE being a public company people tend to forget who takes Vince's place is not as simple as it seems compared to if it was a privately owned there is a lot of rules and government oversight involved with public trading companies

The idea of 'El doormat' Tito Santana becoming WWF champion in 1992 still feels ridiculous today. He was not even close to being a featured player and had been a jobber-to-the-stars for years.

Another notable thing that happened at No Mercy was the first ever tag team ladder match between Edge and Christian against Matt and Jeff Hardy in the finals of the Terri Invitational Tournament (T.I.T.), where the Hardy Boyz won her managerial services. It stole the show that night and elevated both teams.

I’m actually surprised to hear that they were considering Tito Santana in 1992 as someone to put the WWF heavyweight championship on. Not that I think he’s a bad wrestler or anything like that, he is a great performer in the ring but I would think if they were going to go with Tito Santana at some point I would’ve guessed maybe a few years earlier in the 80s. You would always see him on the main baby face survivor series team and the fans cheer him because he was a baby face and back then if you were a baby face you got a good crowd reaction. It just feels like in 1992 they were just treating him as another guy on the card though. I always liked him but in 1992 I really didn’t get the feeling that WWF was pushing this guy like that. I really want to say the last time we saw him was in 1993 and I remember him being in 1993 royal rumble and I remember him being on Monday night raw when Monday night raw first started in 93 but then it felt like he just quietly went away. Maybe the 20 man battle royale for the Intercontinental championship that razor Ramon and Rick Martel one was really my last memory of him in the ring.

And yet if anybody else other than Golden Boy Shawn said that about the belt on TV, Vince would have them fired as well as blackballing them from the business for it. Never letting them back in ever again. If Vince is in love with you, you can do no wrong in his eyes. Ask Jimmy Snuka about it.
