It's INCREDIBLE being able to show people a little trick I learned 😎. But honestly it would be hilarious if I ever managed to get a kill like this... doubtful but whatevs
Before that video the throttle split was a dark art, something that very few knew how to use and make it work Now we are going to see hundreds of spinning F14's flopping around in air rb
Split throttle would also be useful in dogfighting when you are pulling lots of AoA and the rudder and ailerons become unresponsive due to lack of airflow, you can split the throttle so you don't have to unload the aircraft, and still be able to yaw and roll, this is not modelled in war thunder, but it is in DCS, if you want to see it in action search "growling sidewinder split throttle"
@@arandomcommenter412me too because most of the time when people write that it's "Did you know that you are allowed to post classified informations in the WT Battle chat? To find out more about this, Google War thunder Rule 34"
@@TheDAWinz simple, switch to full real if you want to remove the instructor. Just remember to not pull extreme AoA and you can pull some nasty maneuvers and gain the edge on people who don't expect it. Takes time to master but is fun as fuck
Nice and informative video. I myself tried testing this when I learnt the concept of spiltting the throttle and while I found out that it helps with turn radius I decided that with the way wt controls are splitting the thottle would just increase the workload way too much over a slight gain in some situations. If it was possible to make something like a two engine control mode it could be something I could consider.
I tried it a few times and you can get a little more turning speed which can be helpful but only in certain situations, sometimes it's better to keep both on afterburner to keep energy
It is amazing how the raptor only use 2D tvc with no split throttle but still able to perform flat spin or j-turn which requires a lot yaw authority at extreme AoA without thrust vectoring for yaw control.
Hoenstly I can't believe that War Thunder still doesn't allow you to use multiple throttles..... they should offer a left bank and right bank as well as a per engine throttle (I guess up to 10 just in case).
Differential thrust has been an essential part of my toolkit in the mig29 when it comes to dogfighting and I typically use it during rolling scissors to give me just a little more of an edge, and it works very well
USAF: I want a fighter jet that has 3D trust vectoring for super manuver. Pentagon: We have fighter jet that has 3D trust vectoring. F-14 Tomcat: (doing a Super manauver)

@@josezuniga4968 Wow! so I only have to pay $70, another $20 for premium AND spend 4 weeks to play the game! excellent. I wouldn't mind paying premium if it was worth it, but Gaijin nickel and dime you all along the way so they get no money from me.
I never understood why the f-14 just not has a third engine in between the two engines. Now there is this huge gap and it seems like something is missin 🙄 American engineering at its finest
Why do you RU-vidRS constantly do this.... I found this out when the first F-14 came out, and now you have ruined the seperate engine trick because you had to be the good guy and post it......
Now not to be some salty kid argueing about the energy theory and f16 vs mig 29 dogfights but The 2 circle theory is somewhat outdated. Sure its nice to retain speed, but its not gonna stop some supermanuverable cueing a hob and sending it across the circle. So the only reason why the f16 can beat the mig is just down to the absence of hobs ie r73s
Warthunder is not like DCS where all you have to do is just reduce the throttle on one engine. If you use a throttle quadrant with 2 throttles, you just pull back one throttle, if you use a keyboard, you just bind the left throttle to one pair of keys and the right throttle to the right throttle
Unless using split throttle stays that overcomplicated like it is right now, where you have to select an engine to use the same throttle lever as the other engine, it makes no sense. I have a split throttle HOTAS but i cant use it in war thunder. that sucks
@@farmcat9873Yea, war thunder would never have 22G R3S, R530E outpulling the R-73 in every aspect, or backflipping mirage F1s like DCS, nor massively underperforming abandonware modules like the F-5, and only 2 radars in the entire game modeled even remotely good (m2k and jf-17). Oh and the missile mechanics of dcs as well as general radar modeling are much worse, as is the flight model
@@TheDAWinz The F-22 works Great for me and the F-15E I can't say I have ever had a problem with i.e. radar looks way better than anything WT has sorry I don't think by the way you are talking about DCS World that you have a clue about any of it... never mind the Huey and AH-64 or Black Shark beat WT by a LONG shot. 🤣
@@TheDAWinz you really can't compare the 2 games, maybe you could say something like they both have planes and helicopters in the games and the similarity kind of ends right there. Microsoft DCS is a simulator and WT is more leaning towards a arcade game. Non the less they are both games just one is quite a bit more realistic than the other, and the more realistic would lean toward the DCS side. War Thunder is fun and all but nothing in AirRB is like a realistic air fight. Not even Sim in WT is that close to DCS honestly. Either way, I play both and prefer DCS for more realistic fun and if I want some gaijin made-up fun then I play WT. But hey GL with your thoughts and when you wanna get some game in on DCS let me know cause I just got me a few new instrument panels and a brand new eye tracker 😉 But if you like fantasy flying keep the WT thing up but again your talking about a arcade game against a simulator sorry you feel like you got ripped off in some way but anyone that plays DCS and WT can tell you the same.👍
