He just has a lot going through his head at once. Only rapper I knew that talked about Lambos from a artistic sense then just as a “I got money” material object.
Damn, deep AF. I had to lookup whether that was a famous quote. Looks a lot like Orwell's “In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
It’s a slogan that sounds sorta good but means nothing at all. Kanye is not a deep thinker. He’s a talented musician who is narcissistic, delusional and a certified nut.

Anyone who's an independent thinker in Hollywood and the music industry is considered a danger to their overall agenda and therefore easy to just label them crazy. Joe Rogan is so good at what he does.
I truly feel as though Kanye is a good person, who was driven to insanity by hollywood and the media. Yes he obviously has mental illness, but look at how composed he was in this video. And this was just before the shit that happened with Kim, Pete, etc. He was fine, a good guy. Then, for some reason, the media made him a target for all kinda of drama, he's dealt with unrelenting trauma for a year now. On top of dealing with all that with bipolar it's not a shocker he snapped. It just truly makes me sad that it happened, and that he's falling apart so bad trying to save himself
He’s not crazy he just has Bipolar, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, stress, depression while dealing with all the critiques and criticisms that come with being a celebrity. He’s a great guy around the right people and this is a perfect example of that. I’m sure this podcast was a form of therapy that he doesn’t normally get with his lifestyle.
Anyone with a “diagnosed” psychological “condition” like the ones you mentioned, are just the uniqueness that gives us every perfect person that contributes to society. We NEED these “conditions”. But WHY do the words “condition” and “diagnosed” have a negative connotation? I’m not saying you can’t pinpoint specific behaviors or monitor the brain in such a way that shows the individual is not “normal”. But I greatly disagree with labeling those individuals with such negative words. Kanye is a genius. He is a musical genius. He isn’t a science genius or computer genius but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a genius. And I LOVE that despite the weight society has placed on his “diagnosed” “mental illnesses”, he still calls it his superpower😎 Freaking love that guy and happy to see him becoming wiser and even finding his roots in his faith❤️
The fact that he’s opening up to joe and actually holding a conversation says a lot. Joe really is doing a good job keeping up with ye thoughts and understanding him. 💯
Wonder if instead of going home after this interview they both just fell asleep on bunk beds talking until they fell asleep. I can picture Kanye saying “Joe? Joe?.. you still awake?”...

Wow I never expect Kanye would be this smart, the media is lying after all these years. He's an honest person and claimed arrogance as only his mask but Kanye is really a genuine person.
What an incredibly insightful man, and I believe his honest and open creative expression of ideas makes him vulnerable to being seriously misunderstood, especially when he is taken out of context. I had not heard him speak before, and appreciate his self-awareness, drive and unwavering confidence, moreover, the fact that his thoughts are conveyed with such heartfelt passion, while layered in creative context and perspective. I wish you well Kanye West, you are a bold warrior, a thinker and true Renaissance man!
Definition of Narcissistic: extremely self-centered with an exaggerated sense of self-importance : marked by or characteristic of excessive admiration of or infatuation with oneself
It's really not eye opening at all. It's called EGO. If I don't know what I'm doing, then I'm going to be an arrogant person that can't be told otherwise. You say eye opening, I call that childish
I did not like kanye several years ago. But after he started speaking his mind I really started to like him. Not because I agree with everything but because he's real now. He's not faking his identity like most celebs.
I never knew Kanye was so wise! I have compassion and respect for him. When he talked about medication and the effects of it I thought of Britney Spears and how much they disempowered her because of it. Joe Rogan is very well spoken.
They gotta make their self feel good and or smart by down playing a person that has reached a level of success they will never reach. Let them have this, their reality and reasoning will never make them a billion dollars, but a thousand likes is their victory. Let them have this win. Going back and forth with people who are already dedicated to misunderstanding is a waste of time.

I don't usually connect with Kanye but man do I feel this one. I was a quiet kid but very smart, honors all throughout school, but was I guess considered weird and my parents put me on medication at around 12 years old. Just a kid, no choice or say so in the matter, you trust whatever the doctor says as you're taught to do, whatever. Saw psychiatrist one after another, behavior health places, yada yada, put on more and more pills. Oh, this one doesn't work, here's this one. I understand hands down the system he's describing. They are nothing more than a suppressant. An easy solution to an "unpredictable people." 14 years later when I'm 26, I'm misdiagnosed with this and that, and some pill called Seroquel gave me Tardive Dyskinesia severely. Such a bad loss of function in my nervous system, legs and arms flailing around all the time. Psychiatrist said "oh go ahead and stop the pills then, it's okay no withdrawals." Oh wow was he a liar, I felt like I was dying for two solid months. Six months later, started smoking marijuana for the pain and the amount of whatever was going on in my head. Cut to now, I'll be 29 soon and have never been more productive in my LIFE. Physical exercise gave me most of my function back but my hands are kinda janky and weird, I have so many hobbies other than sitting around like a lump, I have gained friends and rekindled old friendships that I let die out because medications are nothing more than a numbing agent for the mind. Now I have plans, ambitions, goals, I go outside, I take walks, and the best part of it all? I lost all of that god damn weight that those pills gave me, 80 pounds gone through exercise and I'm no longer overweight. Screw medications

His words on slavery being a choice weren’t taken out of context, he literally only said “Slavery was a choice” with NO explanation. If that’s truly what he meant (and he’s not taking Joe’s assumption of what he THINKS Kanye meant) why didn’t he just say that when it blew up in his face? He just doubled down in a really weird way.
Kanye isn’t the problem. It’s people who try to pin hole him into a specific category: “good” or “bad”, “crazy” or “genius” He’s got layers. We all do. Recognize them.
As someone with ADHD, this guy hits all the bullet points. He in a way does have a superpower but fails to realize it’s also his curse, he tries to be better than everyone else because he feels like if he isn’t better , he’s worse
ADHD isn't a superpower, it's a debilitating disorder with absolutely no benifits lol. Hyperfocus as a super version of normal focus is a myth, and people with ADHD have lower then average IQs. It's not a superpower.

The thing's kanye says aren't particularly crazy, it's just he's not great at articulating them, or explaining it very directly. In a world where clickbait media/tabloid titles reign supreme and strongly influence the masses, I can understand why people think he's off.
I think he can articulate them. Alot of people just don't have the attention span or willingness to listen to multiple ideas being articulated for more than a few sentences and then wrapping back around to make a point. Trump talks in this way too. You can make both Kanye and Trump sound absolutely stupid by just clipping a few of their sentences out of context and replaying them. But if you listen to their entire statements they make way more sense and hit home a point. Its a speaking style like how a comedian wraps up his bit with a joke that relates to his opening kind of gluing his entire set together. If you came in in the middle of the set the ending makes no sense and isn't funny. If you were there for the beginning middle and end its a super funny moment. Almost a shaggy dog story way of talking.
@@spencers1485 I’m going to stop you right there. Trump isn’t as smart as you think. The only thing he’s smart about is swindling the American public and being a charlatan to the lower and middle class. Enjoy the circus if he wins again.
He's very unfiltered, and doesn't take time to develop his thoughts. When the whole "black people chose to be slaves" things came out, it was in the middle of a larger rant and in context, while not necessarily coherent or correct, made some sense and was probably the result of trying to compress a complex thought into a few words. Thoughts about the welfare state and the selling of africans by other africans. I dont worship the man. Dont even listen to his music, but when I hear him speak I do believe he wants to be a voice of free thinking.
I feel the way Kanye grew up he doesn't know how to articulate his thoughts thru communication. He has so many thoughts that he's trying to explain but was never taught. He's still learning and growing on his own research. Give him a break. He ain't crazy!!!!
Bro, I've said it to many people. He's either insane, or he's so passionate about something, and his thoughts are so fast that he can't keep up. As I wrote this he said " it's not a rant, it's a symphony of ideas" and it solidified my thought on this man

Classic case of ADD being misdiagnosed as bipolar... When you give someone with ADD antipsychotic meds, it kills their energy, drive, and motivation, while making them more content with being inactive, plus the weight gain.... The condition of being very active, creative, and easily bored, is a personality set that evolved not only in humans but in countless other animals species from cats to honey bees. The adventurers, the problem solvers, the explorers, and ground breaking scientists and engineers often have these traits.. but when they present in someone that is not particularly intelligent, or separately very naturally-motivated it becomes a big problem, particularly in school or work, and in personal relationships...
Just realize the adhd is to help you see the signs. Mental disorders were seen as spiritual tools back in the day by shamans. Still is but shamans are less common
