When I heard that I was like, that is some deep level philosophy. That's why Chappelle has elevated his comedy to next level. He notices everything around him.
Man it's crazy how I used to idolize Dave in highschool because of his stand up comedy and Chappele show. And now as an adult I look up to him even more because he's not afraid to address topics that most avoid, he speaks the truth and is hilarious while doing it.
And now almost 4 years later we can see how the lockdown really worked out, it f*cked up the economy while accomplishing nothing. A bunch of people lost their jobs, got some free handouts which ran out quickly, and here we are today in the worst inflation since the 1930's. Good job uncle Joe... not!
I just take the punchlines as a bonus now..when dave goes deep i don't expect them because I'm lost in the convo and see them as pleasant davisms when they come lol
Is it really? I mean, he has means because of his wealth, but does his wealth make him happy or does having a different mindset bring him the most happiness?
@@shaesullivan I am not wealthy, but I live on a farm. I still get to go outside and still have a lot of stuff that I have or can do. If you are in a one BR apartment, trapped in 400 sq. feet... Yeah, there is a difference.
We need more conversation like this, people just trying to think through very difficult topics. Kudos to Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle. Keep kicking ASS
where do you see a label on Dave Chappelle? Is he listed online someplace as being anti vax ? Where do you see that online? Curious what you mean by hes "labeled".
@@gigid9606 it's a label on joe, majority of people believe him to be anti-vax because of main stream media. Most of the people don't bother to even fact-check their news articles themselves
Mannn, Dave is so articulated with his words, he seems like one of those cool guys to just have a smoke or a drink in your backyard at night and talk about interesting stuff.
I agree with Dave, One of my best friends suffered a brain aneurysm during the pandemic and nobody could go and see him in the hospital while he was on life support for months, not even his wife! Nobody was there to hold his hand and talk to him. After several months between the hospital and rehabilitation he was able to come home. The doctors said it was a miracle he survived. It was an incredibly hard time for all that love him
Forced reflection is a horrible thing if you don’t like yourself. Most people haven’t slowed down enough to get to know themselves, when they finally do, they may hate who they meet.
This is some of truest shit ever spoken, something I've realized about American culture is how much entitlement and narcissism it breeds. Nobody likes being told what to do here, but they love being the one making demands and ordering others around.
IN UAE the government lead by example, everyone in the government took it first, the health minister was the first one to get it so they encourage the citizen to take it
You can tell Dave Chappelle reads, alot. He's a learned, informed man, but still manages to play the cards close to the vest. Good on him. This is a great conversation.
Of course he's a comedian and a Muslim. Most of comedian I knew or most likely funny person I knew are smart and open minded. Then he's a Muslim where their God command them to READ and think
Donnell can kill a moment like no one else, I swear he makes redban seem calm and collected. Really bothers me the one time we got Dave it was less than half and episode and donnell interrupted with nonsense the entire time.
Yeah I think that’s why donnell never really had a solo career. He was trying too hard to be the center of attention in everything he did without adding much to the joke or scene
I read your comment and watched a bit more and realized that this podcast did not need Donnell in any way, shape, or form. He only took away from it. That's not to disparage that man... he has a great body of work that we can all sit down and enjoy. This podcast just wasn't the one.
@@larrywexner4163 word? reread my comment lol. Let me reiterate "this podcast did not need Donnell in any way. shape, or form" meaning that they needed two different podcasts. Dave deserves his own because he has a lot of thoughts and ideas that don't need to be interrupted by someone like Donnell. I could repeat myself right now and say something about not disparaging that man but hopefully you know what that word means and have more context towards my last comment....
I see how Joe moves. He's very wise how he uses the elite not the other way around. Like he pretends he's on the fence but he knows he's with the ppl!! The elite tried to buy him off that backfired lol
Dave gently introduces some weighty considerations. It’s not only refreshing, but it allows us to try on ideas comfortably. He has always nurtured growth in his audience. Thank you!
It's good to have Rawlings on, because he embodies the majority of America - opinionated without knowing anything. He's living the "keeping it real" sketch.
That was a funny statement but if you wanna see something hilariously funny dropdead funny fall on the floor roll over do a backflip in a front flip a semi talk funny Catholic hit the link because it’s voice activated thing is not working is spelling everything wrong soooo if the linkru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zdWlUz70MsE.html

Bruh, literally, it makes your arm sore. Like if you got a bruised from someone hitting you. It gave me chills, a slight fever, with a small headache. 3 days later, just felt the arm bruised, everything else disappeared. And yes, I ran 4 miles, hit the weights, and went swimming. I’m feeling great.
This could say “Dave Chappelle discussed the philosophical implications of Applebee’s 2 for $20” and I would still brew a cup of tea and watch it and take notes
Clinton was the first president to take the possibility of a large scale biological weapon attack, following reading a novel “ The Cobra Event “. It was written by the same guy who first wrote about Ebola in his book “ The Hot Zone. “ Clinton was so disturbed by reading this book that he sent copies to every member of his cabinet and instructed them to have read it within two days and be prepared to discuss reactions from their departments .
Honestly I’m thinking about taking my life today things have been so hard every day I wake up and I feel like I’m back into the void...alone with no one to call even now I just feel empty ....I don’t want to try anymore man I’m tired of trying to think positive and workout....hell i ran a 5k a couple days ago and still felt depressed....I see no escape I don’t want be here anymore...I’m ready to go
@@WWeRockFan1001 hey bud, I’m sorry you’re struggling. As someone who has struggled before I can promise you, it gets better. For what it’s worth, I’m thinking about you and care about you. Truly
No shit. His stand up is a combination of highly intelligent deep introspective thought and glaringly obvious humor that escapes the rest of us. That's why he's the GOAT!
Dave is definitely they kind of person can sit down, have a conversation with absolutely anybody and keep them engaged. I would love if he had his own podcast.
i've stopped smoking since quarantine and I'll tell you, there's a grainy, coarse quality about the way I speak that has smoothened since. my tone is more continuous. like if my voice used to skip over certain tones. kinda interesting.
I like Alex better than Joe because Alex is always right more often and follows his heart. Joe is easily influenced and follows the money. But Alex interrupts his guests and goes on rants where Joe isn’t annoying in that way. Wish we could mix the two.
Dave was a lot louder and animated in 2004 I wonder if got tired of staying in character and just to be himself, or het got off coke lol I’m just saying.
I used to agree. But cigarette smoking has changed his voice like it changes any chronic smokers voice. His voice is now raspy and scrapy sadly. And for cancer sticks to make a rich corporate fat cat richer? Yay.
I have worked through this entire pandemic. As a matter of fact I've had 4 different jobs each one paying better than the last. I've been able to buy a home and have multiple vehicles that are paid for. Personally the pandemic has been some of the best years of my life.
For you and my ex as well. He kept his good paying job and got all the stimulus checks. I lost my job during covid. Yes I was able to get unemployment. Was able to buy a used car off fb marketplace. Had an all bills paid studio apartment. Also, got covid and had to find found out when I had to get my appendix out. Waiting in the hospital in dire pain for over 9 hours just to get surgery.
Great conversation. I really enjoy the "older and wiser" dave chappelle. You might not agree with what he says, but you're always left with something complex to think about.
funnyman695 he's on the podcast and you're in the comments! He doesn't seem like the type to talk about people the way you're talking about him. You need to get your 💩 together!
