@@viswanath6463 His point is what if Messi cannot play for whatever reason. It's not about Messi getting red card or injured during the game or anything.
I feel like even I could be a better coach and I’m not even 18, the disaster that is Sampaoli and the shitshow that he produced and the common sense in this video is just so easy to understand, Argentina still has a chance this year and in 2022 for a trophy
They thought that Messi will dribble past 5-6 players and score a goal. Jeez. Messi is aging now. He takes less dribble for goal scoring like he used to. Another thing is that Messi knows teams better in League because he plays against them regularly. On International level it's different phenomenon. Messi should have been played as 2nd striker.. Dybala would provide passes from final third and tap-in... Goal! That’s how they should have done it in my opinion. Not a Argentina or Messi fan
Zio Legend speaks the truth and debunks everything in football that needs to be debunked for people to see the real true story of what really happened and is happening in football that the press and the medias don't want football fans to know, this feeding the football fans lies.
@@ZioLegend Keep on doing videos man. I like your videos a lot and often use them as evidence to debunk people when I come across someone who is looking for an argument with me. God Bless you brother!
Always hate when everyone expect Messi to single handedly win Argentina everything. What about the other 10 players? And the strategy? And the manager? Anyways, that is just one of my frustrations.
@Mateo So just watch the video and compare the other 10 players, tactics, coaches, and the board of Argentina to that of Portugal and the Argentina side of Maradona. Ronaldo just can't play without a team that can pass the ball to him inside the box (he is just a poacher and do not contribute to play making) and he still miss big chances while Maradona also scored mostly inside the box (Maradona is too overrated, he had a team that know how to cooperate with him, playing one-twos with him and pass the ball to him inside the box etc.). So return to Messi, look in the current Argentina, is anyone pass the ball to him inside the box, or he has to go through the whole opponent's midfielder and defenders, or sometimes the whole opponent team, from too far outside the box! Conclusion: NO ONE can single handedly win anything. Messi can score in situations where 7,8, or even 11 players are in front of him, which is enough to be the GOAT, but even the GOAT cannot rescue a coward team who conceded multiple goals + an intangible midfield and defense + brainless coach. Even a youtuber (and any ordinary person) knows what to do when he has such world-class attackers, while some guys leading the team of their nation do not!
@Mateo ronaldo did not score in every game and he did nt even play the whole final. Maradona played against teams who were not defensively strong as today and scored a goal with his hand. Both are still great players and legends.
@Mateo yes but the comment said that one player cannot win a trophy and you replied that ronaldo did. So i thought you meant ronaldo was the only one who led portugal. Portugal actually had a pretty good team, they did not have big stars but were good enough to defend players like griezmann, giroud and payet.
@Mateo He did score the goal of the century but in the 2-1 win one of the goals wwas a handball. If it didn't happen England probably coud've won. Messi has also scored against the best of Serie A teams even without Xavi or Iniesta behind him
Man this video is hilarious and some of the clips are just too funny, great Work bro and I totally agree with you on every aspect of Argentina’s game! Thank you so much for a shoutout as well ❤️🔥
If rulli was the goalkeeper I can guarantee that atleast one of Mbappe's goals could have been saved. And Mascherano would have been "less useless " If he played as a full blooded defender instead of a cdm.
I think Argentina must first play friendlies with teams atleast of the quality of Bosnia and Herzegovina. And I don't like Argentinean fans - especially in Argentina. They say he cannot win a world cup like Maradona and say Messi plays well only for his club team. Just remove Messi and you will see Argentina losing more than half of the matches they play. It's because Argentina's goalscoring and chance creating workload is almost entirely on Messi.
You don't watch football. It's a fact Argentina has been playing better with Messi. When they play without him they're a team not relying on one player. I don't care if you worship Messi but you have to admit they'll get back up once they play as a team again
They are right, Messi has failed them in 4 finals. There is no excuse, Messi is mediocre at best for Argentina, it's ok, not everyone can carry their national team to success.
They reached 3 International finals on the bounce with so many problems and not using their best player properly. Imagine if they had corrected all these errors . Argentinean Dominance.
They used him properly in 2014 against Germany, but Germany was the best team at that time, so a 1-0 loss AET is a great result. And they played very well in 2016 Copa America until the final. It was only after that when they became second-rate
@AMA 55 NIDHIN JOBI Most finals in this century. Yet 0 trophies Brazil 6 finals 6 trophies. Argentina chokes. Simple. Watch the last min of 2004 copa final.
This guy is a clown. If he wasn't such a ball hog, maybe his teamates would feel comfortable. Imagine being Higuain, dyballa, or aguero. they must've said, "ok hero, go ahead, do it all" You're forgetting that all he had to do was score that pk v chille to win copa di america
@@juanjoseph But is Enzo Perez nearly as good as the other players who were in Zito’s ideal lineup? Nope. And having chemistry is more important than having great players. Enzo does not improve the chemistry of the team
Messi was absolutely incredible in the last game vs France, he almost singlehandedly won over the best team in the world whilst being sabotaged by his manager. IMO that was one of his most impressive games of all time!
Spot on with the line-up. That´s what i was screaming at my TV when i saw Argentina line-ups. It was just comical seeing how a coach whose supposed to be experienced enough to make better reading of the game, hence make a better selection of his team, go for a horrendous line-ups in world cup. It was so frustrating looking at him strolling up and down in his technical area like a clown as if that was going to make the players do it for him on the pitch. Horrible.
Am here after Argentina just won 3 trophies in 2 years and see the massive improvement, from 0 good defenders to world class CBs like Lisandro Martinez, Romero and Senesi, plus both Tagliafico and Acuna are good full backs just badly used, 2nd thing, Argentina has also gotten a proper manager who knows when to give youngsters chances in the form of scaloni.
Enzo Pérez is one of the most experienced players of Argentina, he was a starter on every match in the 2014 WC that we almost won... He is certainly not the problem in this WC. Lots of things you said are true tho
As an Argentine, I'm so glad AFA's old fashioned mentality finally changed. When we lost against Brazil in the 2019 Copa America, I thought they would kick out Scaloni immediately despite having started at the end of 2018. Thankfully, they did the thing the sports media from here didn't want to happen, they gave Scaloni another chance, and what happened after can only be described as a one in a million miracle. If you had told me 4 years ago that the president of AFA would give Scaloni, who was a very unexperienced coach, a second chance to be in charge of the national team and that decision would end up with Argentina winning three trophies, one of them the Copa America against Brazil at the Maracana Stadium, and the other one THE WORLD CUP against the last reigning champions in less than a year and a half with a 36 undefeated matches streak, I would have sent you to a madhouse.
Well yeah, but when they tried to get Messi the godamn ball, Argentina at least made it to the finals 3 times in a row. In WC 2018 they tried not to rely on Messi that much and got absolutely nothing.
Watching the torture then & how much we improve now i am happy. Messi is happy too. Lo celso starting, de paul a wonderful asset, romero & emi has improved defence & gk a lot. With lautaro we have goals too. We still struggle with full backs & going defensive. But Sampa's assistant in his maiden assignment has won us copa. He selected a perfect line up. Our mid is back. Lord perez out. Di maria has reinvented himself. 442 is working. Its a project in progress & we are happy. 24 matches unbeaten. Messi is enjoying the team is helping him. De paul can become one of the best. Now we dont have meza & we have shedded most of the reserved places for homegrown players. Even those who play in low level clubs in europe scaloni selected them. I hope ocampos returns to form & dybala too. Scaloni made dybala messi blend together in copa. We trust him. I love his flexibility & commitment of this team.
I am from Argentina, I really don´t know how I ended up here 😅 I am really not a fan ot football (wich is pretty strange because almost all the people here are). I just wanted to say I think the football here is important and it´s so valored because is one of the most things (or I could say the most) Thing that unites us, and that brings us happiness. Argentina is a country with a lot of inequality, but despite that, and despite the fact that we are not so good at soccer, we give everything when it comes to a match. When we qualified at the finals in the 2014 World Cup, everyone became so happy. Screams could be heard throughout the city. I can assure you that even I screamed for the goal that made us go to the final. I would dare to say that it was one of the happiest Argentine moments of the decade. Soccer really makes us happy. There are people who are rude in my country in a lot of terms, but please don't generalize. Greetings and have a good day / night / afternoon. (I am not talking to the creator to the video, I am talking to clarify some things that I read that several people put in the comments)
If you think about it, Sampaoli wasn’t building around Messi bc he’s had at player selection. If he was building the team around Messi, this team would’ve had more consistency. Also Dybala and Aguero and Lo Celso wouldn’t have rode the bench like they did. Sampaoli was playing to not lose instead of playing to win. Trust me, playing not to lose is bad bc Brazil did that in 2014 and eventually...
Yeah i know...fans still can't swallow the loss in the world cup, lots of wasted potential, we all hope they win the 2019 copa but I try to not get my hopes too high, brazil & uruguay are still the favourites to win, especially the host brazil.
I agree w that since they had the midfielders to win the ball back and link up with the defense and offense( Banega and Lo Celso). And the also have Di Maria on LW and Messi on RW to dribble and cross and Aguero as an aerial threat. Then you got Dybala who can link up play and make nice runs
And there's some brainless people who said Messi doesn't want to play with aguero or dybala, so.sampaoli benched them. Just wtf?? It's clear that sampaoli has no sense about what happened to his team.
@@patriciosoirefman838 and that's the biggest lie ever told. Messi has got the introverted personality, he doesn't want to interfere with something that doesn't concern him.
@@patriciosoirefman838 because the coach allow him to, he doesn't have the idea how worldcup works. Just like zio said, too much experimental without data.
Great video, well-done; it pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with Argentina's national football team what has been the case for the past decade roughly estimated
Man, I was so gutted after what Sampouli did to the AFA. But after watching this video I was somewhat able to shed a few smiles here and there. Great work mate.
Ig it’s safe to say that Messi shouldn’t play as false 9 unless he’s with Pep at City. And that you shouldn’t bench your best players for scrubs that won’t solve the problems and only add on to it. And that coaching matters and talent selection
They should’ve been in the Quarter Finals when they went up against France, Mbappe flopped and they hand balled inside the penalty box and we didnt get a penalty
A 14 year old who plays Fifa could've chosen a better team than that manager did. Gobsmacked what the manager did. How stupid is he not to build the team around Messi. 4-2-3-1 should've been their formation. Just leave Messi up top or behind a attacker like Aguero. Dybala & Di Maria should've been on the wings. Those 4 should've started all games or 2 of them at least & given a rest for the 3rd match. They've played together in the Olympics too, the trio. The other 6 outfield players should've been their defensive players. This manager was a disgrace. I can never get over how they messed it up.
Exactly. A 4-2-3-1 was their best formation bc they have an abundance in attack and it also allows the attack to do whatever they need to do to get results. And also bc they only have 2 good midfielders, it makes sense to only play 2 of them and also they’ll play as deep lying playmakers so that subtly helps defensively too
You have a number of things wrong and you omitted the main issue. You're right about Mascherano, but wrong about Enzo Perez, who is a very good defensive midfielder who was part of the 2014 squad and was still at the top of his game 4 years later. He provided balance. Your suggestion of playing all attacking midfielders would've been even more disastrous, especially against France. BTW, Argentina was the only team to score 3 goals against France, so it wasn't as if they were completely outclassed. You have to have someone in the middle who is good at recovery. Lo Celso would be the closest thing to that, though 4 years ago he still wasn't at the level he's at today. You are correct about Sampaoli, but not just because he had no clue of what he was doing, but also because he was incapable of keeping a cool head and had no ascendancy over the players, who lost all respect for him when they realized he was clueless. Furthermore, he had a huge falling out with his assistant, Becacecce. There was a mutiny and it is rumored that Mascherano and Messi decided the team line-up after the Croatia game. This hasn't been confirmed, but it wouldn't surprise me. And lastly, a big part of the responsibility lies with the AFA, for picking abysmal failures for coaches and changing them over and over again. It is nothing short of a crime that Argentina wasted Messi's prime years with poor coaches, including Maradona, who was even more clueless that Sampaoli.
before wc started, Messi had already mentioned that other teams were better than Argentina and semi final will be an extremely good result...the best player in the world says that about his own team, and you understand how terrible the teams condition was
