You should do a full all out performance engine build including balancing the engine so it can spin up to 9,000 rpm. Balancing the engine will get rid of the vibration so it will not Grenade.
still gonna run into valves floating and/or valve rods stretching, bearings burning up and other issues that'd cause a failure. not saying a good balancing job won't help a LOT, you don't want to spin a VW boxer engine 9k either! much past 6k is really asking for it.
THE EASY WAY of getting a govener gear out is to drive the whole pin out of the casing it's self with a small piece of steel. Obie you got it out take everything off and drive the pin back in. No leaks and it saves you time and maybe even from jamming up the casing with a screw driver trying to get the c-clip out.
2 cent comment, when tapping a hole you don"t want the shavings thrown around fill the flutes of the tap with grease. The grease catches most of the shavings. Keyword is most, you still need to make sure there is nothing in the crankcase but it does catch most of them.
Hey can u put like a Honda pull start cover on the new red trail.blazer mini bike 200 went to pull my pull start rope an it wouldn't go back into it so I been starting my mini bike with a shoe string around like the gray thang were cover gos on at on the new Trail blazers mini bike like the big ones on your video its only like a month old an done got problems but she'll run about 40 to 50 its fasts. The new trail blazer. Kind looking 4 that part
When your tapping those oil sensor holes and stuff like that take some tape and put it on the inside over the hole. And the tape blocks shavings from falling in so you can blow them out and any that gets up against the tape will get stuck to the tape.. it's just a trick I've learned over the years
Love your videos dude! My friends and I are going to be doing some modifications on a CT200U for the Gamber 100 Minibike race in Oregon in a few months! Going to try and not kill myself.
Hell ya love seeing the kids getting in there learning and getting dirty ...bet she will be doin her own oil change wen she's off age lol ...keep up the good work and the great content !!!
Is that your daughter and is her name Aubree?? Are you kidding me? She reminds me of our daughter with the same name but she just turned 1... maybe some day she'll turn wrenches with me but it's too early to know yet! :-)
i am trying to get the 60 tooth rear sprocket for the same back rim you have on that bike mine has the 50 tooth an i am a big guy need more torque out of my bike can you help me with where to get mine
Red beards garage I don’t know if this is a common issue but I just put the stage 2 kit in my predator 212 and I grinned down the crankshaft lobes and the new rod wiggles in between the crank journal, is it ok to run the engine then
Hey Red Beard, I have an off topic to the video question. I know you're the man to ask.. My baja doodlebug with a 212cc predator engine and comet torque converter does 35mph with the factory 70 tooth rear sprocket. I want it to be able to touch 45mph, what size sprocket would you recommend?
Also, would you have any recommendations for making it as quiet as I can? We ride around our neighborhood and not pissing people off so no one calls the cops is the goal.
i dont know if you will see this but do you know what it means if i rev the engine and it either just dosnt go and only revs or goes like two feet but then bogs down?
I've never had an issue with the oil sensor in my 212 on my mini bike and I ride off-road and go through turns hard, leaning, doing jumps and all that and it's never shut off on me, I just filled a little more than recommend by tilting the motor back
that is one "Meanie Mini." Maybe offer it as a custom build. Really dig the way you share and involve the with the wife and kids with the projects. Love the show RBG
Love your channel man got a question for you I need to know on the 212 predator how do you tell which is the regular motor and which is the Hemi when you go to buy one at Harbor Freight
I'm kinda against/critical of governor removal (not inclusive of the corrupt political types!). aren't there tweaks to make them kick in at 5,000 to 5,500 RPM? even with counterbalanced crankshaft and a billet rod these are STILL essentially 1 cylinder VW engines that can self destruct for several other causes. an electronic RPM adjustable ignition coil rev limiter?
What are the dimensions of the 301 after tank and airbox removal? I am thinking about going that route to get my 200ex clone running unless somebody can point me to a US distributor of cg style 4-5spd clone engines for a reasonable price.
Can’t watch your video as it says you can skip video in 5 seconds but stays on blank screen. Tried about 10 times. Looking forward to watch once the y boys sort out their act
There so cheap tho it'd just be easier getting some jets instead of drilling urs too far and having to order some anyways and then wait a week to get em lol
