Restoring full knee extension should be a top priority if you are lacking it. Functioning without full knee extension motion can cause problems not only at the knee joint but also up & down the kinetic chain.
According to the research lacking full knee extension:
1) Leads to worse patient outcomes
2) Increases the risk for developing arthritis
3) Causes an abnormal gait...which puts more strain/stress on other structures in the kinetic chain
4) Beats up the patella tendon... and limits the ability of the quad and other muscles to optimally function/produce force.
Put simply if the knee can't fully extend and the quadriceps can't fire properly then the ankle and hip have to overcompensate and will have a hard time generating the appropriate force - leading to decreased performance and possible injury.

Ok this video taught me a lot! After acl surgery how long should it take for your leg to be lifted off the ground? I jsut did the excercise. Can you give me a range please
