Isn't Highlander about our love of true heroes? Duncan is the kind of hero we can believe in, even if only within the fantasy. Thank you, very much, for this treasure!
the show was created to honor the fallen knight templars and how their legacy still lives on through the ages. use your brain and research european history... their temple commanderies and castles are still erected to this very day. the lineage of the knight templars and their brotherhood with free masonry are who rules in the shadows not government
These episodes are absolute proof that one can post EXCELLENT videos, with EXCELLENT quality, i..e., A/V.! I have watched THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS RU-vid videos, and this is right there at the top! No tiny screens, sped up/slowed down, audio, and all the other ridiculous FX that posters say have to be done to avoid copyright. This is RU-vid at it's best! Love anything to do with Highlander series,(T.V., Movies). Hats off!!
It all depends on how aggressive the copyright holder is. Apparently the Highlander people don't care that much. You couldn't so this with the Simpsons. Try it. See what happens.
There's an filter option to click if you want to copyright your work or let it be used freely. It was people watching free TV to much with the Kodi box and other means that upset them at the time.
I haven't watched this show in years and now the intro song is stuck in my head again. Despite it's cheesiness and the terrible camera it has a place in my heart. Also, Adrian Paul is insanely hot :D
man so many of the episodes from season 1 hinted to Richie's immortality. but yet I remember being so surprised but happy when he became immortal...lol
It would have been nice if they had changed what Ritchie said initially somehow so that at the end Angie could say "Yeah drop dead gorgeous... ... and SHE's not so bad either"
Great references to the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day: biker bar with billiard table and one man fighting with bikers & Richie saying before entering the bar: "Hey, don't worry, I'll be back!" This episode was filmed shortly after the release of Terminator 2, so these intentional references are perfectly understandable.
that was actually a brilliant trick: pretend one of your guys went rogue with the potion (which itself had a nice distraction trick at the heist), so you can get MacLeod to trust you and then see his strength. That backstab he attempted at the end would've gotten most people this is why this series rocked
I stopped watching after Richie died. Saw Endgame in theaters a few years later and then revisited the series in 2005 only to realize I didn't miss much with season 6 anyway, but that demon crap definitely jumped the shark.
The worst is when Adrian invested in something. And all his money was stolen, from whoever he hired an investment company. They stole all of it. I wish he could get a a new tv series. And make millions off it again.
I hadn't heard that. But, as far as I know, Adrian is doing just fine. He has been getting acting gigs on real shows and is very successful in his Sword Experience business.
As a side note! Adrian Paul actually has either working knowledge or vast knowledge of how to use a Samurai Sword! And obviously so do Chu Yen? However you pronounce his name XD
Adrian Paul was a martial artist and taught swordplay, or fencing. He may still teach, not sure. The dude was quite an athlete and very skilled. Replicas of his dragon head katana were sold online and at his swordfighting camps. They use to sell for about $500 but I've seen them under $200 in the last few years. I got mine for $180.
On Ebay there was the Connor Macleod Sword for not so Much it was carbon Steel the only question is the Tsuka with the Dragon Head how the F*&^ do you wield it also for Japanese Sword Fighting Style Kenjutsu is the Martial Art
@Asalino1 Duncan (and Connor) use samurai swords for sentimental reasons because they inherited those specific swords from mentors they respected very much.
A more general reason Duncan (and Conner) use Samurai swords was its a throwback to the original movie's idea that immortals were from "Lots of different places". They had traveled the world, taken wives, and lived many different lives. Conner's (and Duncan's) choice of a Samurai sword (outside of the story-specific reasons given) was to add more to the depth of each character by saying both men had left Scotland and moved across history and the globe picking up skills and signature weapons as they lived many different lives. During the television show, swords became much more tied to the background of whatever immortal ally or enemy Duncan came across. The use of a sword became much more a statement about where an immortal came from and less about who the immortal is personality-wise.
Wow, I had this on my sky hard drive recorded from the horror channel and the entire last 4 minutes was edited. it just cut to the credits at 44:36. I think I'll be watching from youtube from now on.
“Leave now ... or you’ll see your own hearts beating on the ground right in front of you!” ♥️⚔️💔 🙆🏼♀️ _Uhhh YUP you’re_ _right, absolutely_ _RIGHT was JUST_ _LEAVING!_ 🏃🏼♀️💨💨
I like how Duncan is always laughing to himself while fighting people who wanna killl him. I know he's well trained but still. And what's with highlanders from Scotland doing using asian made swords. I know the back story the WHY/HOW of them but should they not be using highland swords like that of there clans men from there own time. They seem to be the only ones ever using different culture swords. Great show though Ty for uploading them.
In Duncan's case, he was trained by another Highlander who uses an Asian sword who most likely showed him why and the pros as to that choice. Was reminded why when he went to Japan and trained by a Samurai
omg I just realized... the cops in the car in the intro were wearing *motorcycle helmets*... wtf? seriously this is my second time watching this why didn't I see that before?
@cyprezz They probably was at headquarters when the call dropped. So instead of riding in separate vehicle they road together in a single unit. It can happen.
this is and was one of the best action series of all time. for me FIRST movie was gold. SECOND now i see how awful it was. AND the "sci-fi channel movie" was awful. also endgame was great and three i take it is non canon anymore really or a parallel connor.
He's in lots of episodes where he doesn't "fall for a chick." The Gathering, Bad Day in building a, Mountain Men, Revenge Is Sweet, See No Evil, Eyewitness, Band of Brothers, For Evil's Sake, Saving Grace, Nowhere To Run, The Watchers, Studies in Light, Turnabout, Darkness, Eye for An eye, Epitaph for Tommy, Prodigal Son, Counterfeit, The Lamb, Obsession, Shadow, The song of the Executioner, star-Crossed, testimony, The Innocent, Leader of the Pack, Double Eagle, Reluctant Heroes, wrath of Kali, Something wicked, end of Innocence, MOney No Object, The Messnger, and Archangel.
🤦🏼♀️ lol OMGOSH katymvt i am AMAZED that you took time to presumably research all those episodes and type it out. i hope you didn’t just do it to prove a point to _me._ Not as if i’m gonna waste time reading, let alone looking into all that. Do you have _ANY_ sort of LIFE?! 🤷♀️ i just feel bad that you wasted soo much time. Hopefully someone else might find it interesting. 🤞🏻i feel bad that i apparently caused you so much angst. Just try to remember, this is just a TV show. *FICTION.* i mean, you did ALL THAT bc of a simple off hand comment that _i_ made?! 🙋🏼♀️ Geez. _Please_ get a life, i feel really sad. 😢💔
Igor Proleiko Both the Princes Bride and this had the same fight choreographer, I can't help but think Bob Anderson probably wrote that in himself with permission.
When my mum saw me watching the series many years back, she said, oh he's gorgeous who is he? And I said its Duncan Macleod of the clan Macleod, and she said, oh! Hunky Dunc!
A lot of fun, but that's not how diamond brokerages operate. The Lexan is thick enough, around 2 inches, to stop all handguns and many rifle rounds. The casing is steel and simply cannot be pulled apart by any human being.
@AntonOortmann because the series was produced by a french production team. and the first and second season wasnt filmed in america but in vancouver and paris
@UCa1ZhzJKjPBFtJbGXEcqk7w I am a considerable past my childhood, and I continue to love this series. Does anyone else think Duncan resembles Sean Connery; a way lot???
why cant thay make showes like this now i love the history in it and the overall good doing of showes from this time yea ther was vilance fighting killing but ther was every showe a reson of good and a teching of the ways of mens minds and harts
@Asalino1 Dont know what your talking about, many of the enemies he fights don't use swords from their 'culture'. Plus he was rejected by the highlanders, and embraced by the Japanese, so maybe its out of respect to them.
THE UPTCS SQUANGBUSTERS FROM UNIVERSES AND CROSSOVERS ARE NO JOKE OR WHATEVER THATS CALLED AND WHATEVER THAT IS AND PERFECTION CALLED OR WHATEVER THATS CALLED AND WHATEVER THAT IS
There's a ton of great ones in both locations and several bad just the same. If anything though, France seems to have better quality episodes throughout the entirety of the series.
