Electric cars by themselves might cause that because lots of poor and rural people don't believe in credit cards and if they get over that hurdle they will have to deal with poor infrastructure
I imagine a skit where this is all because some rich person wants poor people out of the way at lunch hour or when he is driving for vacation, because he can afford the per mile tax, and poors can’t.
I've been thinking about this issue for a while and the simplest answer is to charge a flat fee to everyone but they won't do that because we would find out how much we have been overpaying for bad roads. I was hoping this day wouldn't come and road taxes would be paid by all the delivery vehicles on the road from semi trucks to people who deliver for Uber eats
Basically the government Congress, State or agencies have no grant to to tax travel or mode of travel or conveyance as the people have collateral rights to travel freely unburdened by tax. All adults had the right to take it or pass. We had natural immunity so we passed. There was misinformation spread that natural immunity was not sufficient. This has since been corrected. If you took it, that’s your right.
