According to an interview that GLOW wrestler Beastie did, they were pretty cool about her using the Road Warrior gimmick (because the movie came out, everyone saw it, not like it was that uncommon) and at fan conventions kept a kayfabe of saying Beastie was their sister. So, yeah, a little crossover of the two promotions. I dunno, I just thought that was cool that they were nice to her.

Useless fact: Part of Droz's last name, "Drozd" is actually a Russian word for "Thrush", aka catbird, so in a way, he continued the animal/bird theme of LoD.

I remember watching Hawk's "suicide attempt" as a kid and kept wondering "Um...is this real?" I would've preferred Hawk partnering with a different wrestler and trying to make the new teams work than making fans think if Hawk was serious about ending his own life.

Ok I'm gonna throw out a little "what if?" Scenario, what if instead of going back to the WWF for their last run they stayed with WCW and became the 4th and 5th guys in the NWO? Imagine it, black and white face paint, black and white shoulder pads. I met animal at a really really independent event at my very small hometown in Alexandria,Indiana. Animal was fighting an older ex bodybuilder... and yeah I felt bad for him i barely had 20 dollars to my name and i gave it to him. I actually found out about the Legion of doom through the Legion of doom DVD, and through Heidenreich, and I’m not joking.

It's worth noting that LOD or Legion of Doom was not exactly a name change - The Road Warriors were once part of a stable called The Legion of Doom, and even as The Road Warriors the name kinda stuck as a nickname.

I was at Summerslam 1992 and I couldn’t tell that Hawk wasn’t at his best. Mind you, I was 13 years old!! Yet you watch it now and you can tell that he’s sluggish to say the least. One of my favourite tag teams. Those shoulder pads were one of the things I would have loved to have owned back then!!

Don’t forget Animal’s brief run in WCW as a member of the Magnificent Seven... debuting in the sand match Sid Vicious broke his leg.

My first exposure to the Road Warriors was as the Legion of Doom in WWF, and I played WWF WrestleFest religiously in arcades in order to beat them. They were definitely done dirty but I totally agree with Zane's conclusion.

Oh Zane, you missed the opportunity to have a musical montage of the road warriors cleaning up Rocco. I can just imagine hawk and animal smiling at each other as they scrub him down. Great video as always buddy. Glad to see the moustache was helpful for a cutaway gag.

It's unfortunate that I first heard of Animal when he was a heel as the Road Warrior in 2005. It was only years later when I discovered the legendary tag team he was a part of. Crazy huh?
