@@W.2026Yeah a boss that recognises his team by always saying words like “we” for example small things like that just goes to show that Sam lake truly cares about his team or the people that he is working around with.
Sam Lake and Remedy are great things in the gaming industry, these elements have worked together to create exceptional game projects, whether it's Max Payne 1 or 2 or Alan Wake, everything fits perfectly into this world
Sam Lake makes for a great storyteller, he's got that nice kind of a crispy charismatic accent. And it's always better seeing it once, than being told for a 100 times. I felt myself in a game by Remedy just watching this presentation, as if Sam would just "You know what, why don't we ask the guy himself" flips his fingers and in a flash of lightning comes Thor, the old fart gives the audience a short, but intense hard-rock like solo and gets dissolved in the darkness of the backstage, while sam fluently picks up the speach. That's what's so good about Remedy - they know how to produce the right atmosphere.
This is one of the greatest videos I've ever seen. Sam just seems like such a cool and fun guy to be around, he really looks like he is having a blast up on that stage, I think it's impossible to not like him honestly, like how could you not like a guy who just has such a genuine enthusiasm and passion for everything he does?
I've played so many games, AAA games even, that treat music like filler, just noise to replace silence. It creates a much more memorable experience when music helps direct the flow of gameplay, and engages with the audience. I'm so glad that Remedy gets this.
Sam Lake and Remedy as a whole are treasures hah hah Love the compassion and enthusiasm every time, with every presentation and game. Always so unique and unapologetically different. I hope they continue to make games far into the future.
You Sir(Sam Lake) are the Tim Burton of video games. Every game mad by you has a specific feel to it that always puts me in that special mood. I love it Thank you!
Too bad there's no mention of "Haunted" by Poe. I discovered Poe thanks to Alan Wake, and now she's my favorite musician, no contest. Those songs need more publicity. Anyway, great show from Remedy!
Sound has been a huge part of the atmosphere a game creates especially before graphics improved to the extent we see today. Remedy always exhibited a level of finesse rare to find in this area within games industry... Still remember playing Max Payne on pc with headphones feeling immersed in a dark hole of depraved human behaviors... I have played every game they made since and loved it! Keep up the good work guys!
Consider making remastering versions of both Max Payne games with the help of Rockstar since they own the IP ;) the first installment is about to celebrate its 20th birthday in just two years :)
I love you Remedy! ^_^
Could we get Alan Wake remaster for PS4 or PS5?! Please? P.S. - Such a damn great music... proud about my country neighbours - almost neighbours...about theyre success in gaming industry.
this is perfect and all, bowie's song ground control is nice as well but they did a mistake choosing that song for alan wake - it doesnt have any connections at all... the song had different vibe than the game anyways, i loved this show, i like the strange but nice vibes Sam Lake gave me and this whole authentic never seen before experience. Not many game creators would do such a show in front of big audience in the first place. oh and one more thing - author with grown beard looks like Robin Thicke :P
Major Tom is obviously Tom Zane. They were all ready building a Remedy verse, and in Alan Wake 2 you really see the connection. Song makes total sence.
