I completely agree with you. Its probably my favorite Rolex period. The colorway, dimensions, history, and especially the jubilee all make it the greatest watch.
@@ChristopherNegroni was offered the same watch on my bday but oyster wasn’t turning it down but agree the jubilee is nice but Im content with the oyster
I bought one a few months ago and been wearing it every day. I’m from North Carolina. Currently traveling to Japan and Taiwan. Why does it look better on your wrist 😂? I watches this video for the first time maybe 8 months ago, and go back to watching it to get my Pepsi fix every month or so. I love seeing you travel with it and doing everything even working out and pool time with it. It allows me to also never take it off and grow memories with mine. Great content and looking forward to your next video.
I appreciate you sharing that with me. That’s what these things are made for. I’m sure the Pepsi looks great on your wrist. It’s just a great looking watch, it’s a little bit of movie magic 😉 . Keep enjoying that watch. Thanks for watching!
Great video Chris! I got a ND Sub from my AD a few months ago. I'm waiting on a variation of a GMT Master II. The AD knows I'm partial to the two tone Root Beer. I gotta tell ya tho, your videos are really swaying me towards the Pepsi!!! Especially the one where you're washing it in the sink with the toothbrush 👍
Man, your editing skills are just insane ! Currently watching pretty much all of the videos you uploaded. Big fan of your work, keep em coming it’s such a pleasure to watch.
Damn brotha. You started off just posting videos about watches. It’s been only a few months and your considered one of the watch RU-vidrs. Lol. The content is insane brother. Keep it coming!
Excellent video. Couldn’t agree with you more about the Pepsi-C. Four years now and it’s my most special piece. You’re spot on about the historic Bakelite Pepsi and it’s visual likeness to this watch. My good friend has a Bakelite and we did the comparison when I picked mine up. And let’s not forget that Phillippe Dufour, regarded as the preeminent modern watchmaker in the world, wears the 126710 BLRO on jubilee as well. Cheers 🥂
Thank you Matthew, I’m glad others see the comparison that I did. Yes indeed many iconic people in the watch space still choose this watch as their daily and there’s a reason.
Man, I love your Pepsi content, some of the best on the web. Keeps me hungry while I wait. Been on the list for a year, patiently waiting as long as it takes. It’s the “exit watch” for me, could truly be the mythical “one watch” imho. Keep the content coming, love it!
😯 the elusive one watch man. I will hope that works out for you. But I’ll tell you we all started off thinking the same thing 😅. I remember thinking if I could only get a Pepsi. Now I’m on to the next watch 🙃. But thank you for your kind words. More content on the way!
I agree Rolex probably underrated the WR rating. But just a point of clarification, a screw down crown doesn’t add any water resistance. It’s simply an added measure to prevent the crown from inadvertently being pulled out under water. The seals, etc are what give it the water resistance.
Yea absolutely, the seals are what matter. This video is pretty old now, did I say the screw down crown is the only thing that gives a watch water resistance?
Just learned this thanks! That is great that they modified the maxi lugs to fit nicer imho on this model. Definitely! Very versatile for sure and on the Pepsi I do prefer the julibee on that particular model. That's a great everyday everything watch imo!
I talked to my contact at my local AD a few weeks ago and he told me Rolex watches are tested for 25% deeper water resistance than what is on the spec.
Chris: In the official sales book which I just happened to be reading a few days while I dream and wait for my Pepsi 😂, it said if it’s rated for 100 meters, they’re tested 10% beyond 100 meters, but if it’s 300 meters or more it’s tested to 25%.
It’s for sure nice but the ceramic bezel…. Too many people having issues with cracked bezels. I’m on the fence on pulling the trigger, anyone else hearing about this issue?
NEGRONI is BACK!!!!!! 🤗 where the phok is you phocka???? Your are in Mexican Riviera....being Mexican I recognized one when I see one....That phocka even cleansed that drink before serving it!!!! 🤣🤣😂😂
One question for you to the jubilee bracelet; is it rebust enough to stand the test of time or are you counting in to having to repair/replace it over years of daily wear and tear? And is it heavier as others or less heavier? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work 👍
From what I’ve gathered, the jubilee bracelets of today, especially those made out of stainless steel are much more solidly built. It really wasn’t a concern for. It’s definitely robust and can withstand the daily beating a sports watch takes. My bracelet has zero stretch and what I love about the jubilee is how scratches aren’t as noticeable with the smaller links.
A travellers tool watch - shows u 2 different time zones if you are too stupid or lazy to use ur brain. Afraid of submerging the „tool“ watch under water cuz 100m not even made for jumping from 20ft platform. The watch looks amazing I agree, but the built quality even an omega is slightly better. It is iconic due to it’s design but the name tool watch isn’t reserved for gmt‘s. I can understand if you call a sub like that as it is way more practical buz gmt doesn’t really have any use as a tool watch anymore those days
Hey, I too am frustrated about how difficult it is to get Rolex. It’s okay bud. Hope you wake up on the right side of the pillow tmrw 😀 thanks for watching
I’m surprised you decided to watch a video titled “The Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi is THEE BEST MODERN Steel sports Rolex you can’t buy” even though you are tired of hearing about the Rolex Pepsi 😆
@@ChristopherNegroni Wouldn't you agree that there is too much hype about the Rolex Pepsi? Some of the videos are downright disingenuous. "Made by the hands of angels." "My life is now complete." I just watch Rolex videos that YT suggests to me. As soon as I see that they are about the Rolex Pepsi I click them off. Even videos that claim to be about another model (e.g. Batman) end up being mostly about the Rolex Pepsi.
@@jamesmoninger1982 I can’t speak for other channels but I do my best to tell my viewers how I feel about a watch at a point in time. My opinions have changed and I’ve expressed them in newer videos. It’s part of the hobby and finding out what you like. I just like to share it with others. I don’t have any ulterior motive in hyping a watch up. Sometimes a watch is just that good.
GMT master 2 Pepsi is for people that don't know anything about watches. They just want the same luxury watch as everybody and then they claim "it's the best watch"... lol... it's just the only model they know... it's only a hype thing, nothing more than that. Buy yourself a personnality and discover other Rolex models and other brands. Still a good watch but no it's not the best watch...
Thanks for the feedback 😂 on my experience comments like these come from bitter folks who can’t get the watch 🙃. Hey but thanks for watching, great for the algorithm 😆
@@ChristopherNegroni no problem mate 😊 if I can push forward your channel, why not ! No I'm not bitter at all. I bought myself a Bmw z4 and a brand new Speedmaster Professionnal Sapphire at only 29, so it's not that bad :) + I say that other rolex models need to be discovered so I actually think they are nice but the gmt master 2 is the model that everybody buys because of the trend. If you dig you can buy other rolexes that are nicer or amazing watches from other brands. It's not a question of money, just a matter of "thinking outside the box" and buying what really suits your personnality, not buying the watch that is on each instagram account. But still, have a nice day and keep doing your videos :)
@@KimiRai-lf3gn I also think there’s nothing wrong with feeling connected to the GMT. There’s a reason some of the most important figures in the watch lore still choose this watch. Enjoy your bimmer and speedy 🤘🏼
