Damn really? I used to listen this song a lot and i always pictured it in the south of france, summer, keith and the boy at the end of the day with some wine composing that song ... I dont listen it the same now haha
@@fgsp8909 I think it would be more likely to be Keith in the bathroom shooting up, nodding out for four hours, then coming downstairs to find everyone’s gone home.
Recording began in June and July 1970 at Olympic Studio in London and at Nellcote in the summer of 1971 and with overdubs added at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles in early 1972. With Jagger on lead vocals, backing vocals are provided by Tami Lynn, Dr. John, Clydie King, Venetta Fields, Shirley Goodman and Joe Greene. Electric guitar is performed by Keith Richards using a Leslie speaker. Bass is performed by Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts on drums, Nicky Hopkins on piano and Mellotron, Bobby Keys on tenor saxophone, and Jim Price plays both trombone and trumpet.
I believe you are confusing Let it Loose with I Just Want to See His Face. Let it Loose was started in Olympic and Nellcote and finished in LA. Keith is definitely playing on it, and actually slide work by Taylor didn't make the released version. What is described above is the recording of I Just Want to See His Face. this song is forever etched into my memory… it was the soundtrack to the most heartbreaking event in my youth when my first girlfriend dumped me, soon after this song came out.
Many have commented about the music which shows their great taste. But I must say mates, I wanna say it’s an outstanding job on the engineering on this great tune from Exile into a fully instrumental version. Peace, Rocky
I haven’t seen this in a few years, and while scanning, a great but terrible thought occurred.I pray all get a chance to see this while the blood is warm and still flows like a raging river. For you surely don’t know what you have while it’s still here, mates. So thank God and watch the river flow. Peace, Rocky
I know me few friends that I have an really love think I'm nuts because all I listen to is the rolling Stones but if they weren't the best rock roll band in the world I might listen to somebody else but they are always will be can't even try to imagine living life with out them long live them all
Thank you for this! Could be my favorite Stones song, along with my favorite Stone. Keef!!!!! (Love the Robert Johnson morph.....who knew, but the reincarnation makes sense, as Keith has said before that he feels more black than white.....it’s no wonder, with the most brilliant blues/rock guitar riffs from this master). It was an honor to meet and hang out with him.
Nice video CandyFrOmStranger! Really cool Keith morphing. The best song the Stones have ever done, no surprise it works so well even without Jagger's awesome vocal.
I just finished reading a book about Exile on Main Street where the author calls Keith "the Jesus of Cool". LOL ! Sounds like something he'd say but not about himself. Which is what makes him cool of course. Your videos prove this to us all Candy From Stranger
That was by far the coolest thing I have ever seen on RU-vid. Morphing Robert Johnson into my hero Keith gave me goosebumps. Maybe those two share the same soul. Thanks. keep it up.
Nicht nur besseren Fußball spielt man in Deutschland als in Österreich... ;-) Diese Technik ist großartig (und jetzt meine ich nicht den Fußball) - Gruß aus Niederösterreich.
ʀᴇᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴘʟᴜᴄᴋ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛɪᴄᴋꜱ ᴏᴜᴛ Elizabeth Taylor's dead. Her beauty was more fabulous than 3 beauty queens sharing a bathroom on a small yacht in a storm. Her bubbly personality was more engaging than several circus elephants stomping to death a vicious alligator that had somehow found its way into the murky waters of Lake Huron 34 years ago.
What's gone all wrong now? Have you lost dead Tom Merton's will to be institutionally poor? Can't you tell musician Ray Cooper from Ry Cooder anymore? Is this Keith Richards' final Pacific Rim tour?
