I love this segment, they all are telling their insight on each other. They are all telling things about one another. They each are really getting deep about how they each see each other.
U guys so lucky for Charlie.... anybody good jazzer is v knowledgeable....my baby excellent Bass player n lover.... he's gone...but I still miss him so much....like Jaco pistorius....❤❤luv Charlie...❤❤❤
First tour I seen Stones . Saw them with my mom n brother. Mom was 41 at time. I got home at time . She said look what I got . Shea stadium . I was 20 my brother 19 . We still seeing them together today with my children now. Grandma her kids and grandkids at rolling stones concert priceless
keith is so much more sentimental than any of the others, he calls Ronnie "my brother," and says of Mick "we just Work together," the others are much more casual in their descriptions
Mick is always so guarded in interviews, apart from Charlie he answered all the questions about his other band mates very carefully. Even Keith, he couldn't say anything good about him, apart from talking about how Keith's own music had affected him. Yet Keith seemed to be more open and had an obvious respect towards Mick. Let the guard down Mick. Show you're a bit human.
When you're such a mediatic person it's wiser to guard your real private inner world, if not you become crazy. And he was enough solid to maintain the band in all situations.
Next to Scott Gorham & Brian Robertson... Keith and Ronny are my favorite "Dual Guitarists." The flowing interaction of those guys makes the Stones music completely Amazing!
Listen to the pre-Aftermath albums and hear how Keith and Brian's playing worked so well together. From Aftermath on Brian lost interest in guitar but instead added the color of other instruments.
@@389383 the reason Keith prefers Ron over the previous guitarists is the connection while playing and the fun and enjoyment of that. He never had that before, it was each on his own.
@@DiabloOutdoors I'm somewhat dubious that Keith ever said he & Ronnie were 'average' 🤔 But he's fond of saying he likes two guitarists playing 'sympatico' & the 'ancient art of weaving' !! 😄
@@petermills542 LOL... You should do some research before saying and look foolish in front of everyone. What Keith said is well known and it's part of a video.
0:46 - 1:04 is just SO PERFECT for each of them!! Keith's just a badass-pirate-motherfucker, Ronnie's the most adorable thing ever, and Mick... oh Mick. Pure. Sex.
For all those of you who think that Mick's short hair during this period in history makes him look like actress Jamie Lee Curtis, let's flashback 16 years before to a photo of him with Atlantic Records President Ahmet Ertegun (1923-2006), where Jagger seems to look somewhat like Natasha Gregson Wagner.
Why be angry? It's not as if Bill had an outlet for his own song writing on Stones' records. He made them on his own time and they never interfered with his commitments with the band.
The "And another journalist from EUROPE line was delivered with a smile, but nonetheless was sort of meant to impugn, I think. RW (Who's the better guitar player, you or KR?) While looking off, waiting all of ONE beat--"I am". KR (same Q, and told RW said himself): "Yeah, probably he is...I just think, together, we are 10 times better". Much as I love Charlie, I cannot recall sufficiently one good quote, except, question forgotten, on tv, his cutting, "I don't know!".
Funny quotes I remember some of them saying: BW: I've been crying out, to go on the road ( Intervwr: Y R U the 1...)--because we haven't been to England, since '76 (Intrvwr: Y R U the 1 depicted as reluctant)...Because I'm a good scapegoat...'Oh, BILL doesn't want to tour' (Y don't U say something?)--Because BILL isn't there when its SAID (laughs). KR: Its absol. vital this band goes on the road, RS could never be a studio band, only bother to turn it on to the paying fans...otherwise (cont.)
(cont.) otherwise, its sort of a teradactyl, withone wing cut off...it'll never get off the ground (laughs, with plenty of unintelligibles throughout, making it funnier). KR (asked if Neighbours wasn't the exact same song as Send Her To Me) Uh, Neighbors &...? Yeah, Mick, he's always writing the same thing over & over, the middle 8 of Hang Fire is Some Girls, 'cept its faster (He denied it of course, when I asked him), That's because he doesn't know, he's not a musician (dissolves into laffs).
Mick, on the same matter (Neighbours/Send Her To Me),: I was asked this by another journalist, and its not exact (freudian catch of himself)--not at all like it (Da-dun-da-dunt-dun, goes the intrvwr) No, I don't see it at all--see Neighbours is a 12 Bar Blues, and Send Her to Me, is completely different (I'll play them to you, 1 after the other, she says), No, I don't need--I can play them in my head (snobbily), and earlier says, "Well maybe does to U...& another journalist from EUR-UP...
