In November 1998, most of the cast members of "Roseanne" reunited on Roseanne's short-lived talk show. DISCLAIMER: I claim no ownership of this video; I've shared it on RU-vid as a courtesy to fans.
So Roseanne fucked it up for the rest of the cast, and you'd like to see them get fired and lose their jobs because she fucked up and called a black woman an ape? Yeah makes sense.
When I was a kid I thought they were married in reality as well with how great their chemistry together was on the show. I was a bit disappointed to find out they weren't as I got older and learned more.

I have seen that scene tons of times and I still have to stop what I'm doing and watch it again whenever they show that episode. Laurie Metcalf helped make the show great.
Roseaane loved everyone on that show and made them all stars. She is very appreciative for their talent! It's a shame what the network did to her by firing her off her own show. Best comedy ever!!! I have the entire series on DVD! Thank you Roseaane for making it real!!! Shalom!!! Hats off to the cast of Roseaane!
I love Roseanne too but honestly, she deserved getting fired. I mean, anyone with half a brain would realize that. Of course, shortly after her firing, former husband Tom Arnold said she WANTED to get fired from the show after the first reboot season. He said it was too much of a strain on her doing the show again and that during the summer hiatus of the show, she posted worse and worse tweets and more offensive things as the hiatus went on because eventually she knew the network would have enough, and fire her. Of course, she denied that, but who knows with that crazy bat shit woman
She's always been a difficult person. Then she got messed up on drugs and Ambien. She's not racist though, if you ever seen a photo of Helen Bonham Carter in makeup as Ari from the remake of Planet of the Apes, the one with Mark Walhberg and the bureaucrat in question there is a similar appearance. Roseanne had no idea that bureaucrat was ethnically black. The MSNM spun it as racism for ratings. Truth and honesty is way down the list for most MSNM, CNN and FOX News are among the worst. Even the makers of Ambien injected themselves into politics with a snarky tweet. Liberals don't want to know and can't be bothered with learning the truth of why she tweeted what she did in her muddled state of mind. Learning the truths would expose liberals to a tiny corner of how the press currently operates, again.
She has moments of bad judgement, but she's not a racist. Conservatives seem to have forgot the time her and Tom Arnold sang the national anthem at a baseball game and got booed off the field for doing it badly on purpose, and booed rightly so imo. There was also a short scene from an episode from the 7th season (a guess, could be S8, or 6 to), where Roseanne goes off on a pro-lifer who's protesting outside a clinic that she and Jackie are exiting. I forgotten everything else about that episode and why they were at the clinic? If anyone wants to investigate which episode that was, please post what you remember or found on the web.
I am 48...re runs of Roseanne air every single night here at midnight, 2 back to back shows..I always watch..no matter how many times I have seen the same episode over and over and over, I still watch. I loved this show back in the day and love and appreciate it even more so now. GREAT SHOW. The final show I have seen dozens of times, and I still cry like a baby when Roseanne says, "I lost Dan....". Sweet jeepers I am in tears now just writing that.
One of the best sitcoms I watched growing up. Wish the every season was on Netflix. There has never been a show as great as Roseanne. Watching her show just brings back really good memories, it shows what real life is like as a middle to low waged family. Some people can't stand her but it's those qualities that those people hate that has made her rich, famous and adored by others. She is very talented. Love Roseanne!
Although I agree with almost EVERYTHING you've said, there is one thing I disagree with. I can name a show that's better than Roseanne: Seinfeld. Nothing will ever come close to touching that show.
+Alex Maldonado Another good trait about him is he's very shy and humble. Its an awesome actor and improviser. He's been proven to be a great musician.
Glenn Quinn who played Mark died in 2002 at 32 from a heroin overdose. That was just too sad. I never appreciated the show when it first aired but I watch the reruns on TV Land now and it was just incredible. One of the best sitcoms ever. The whole cast was incredible but Sarah Gilbert was the best with her great comedic timing and personality.
belladonna1999 so sad. No one ever seems to mention him either... I'm so glad John Goodman ended up getting help for his alcoholism. We could very well have lost him too. He was apparently in a very bad way for a while there. He's always come across as such a great guy to me and I cannot even imagine watching Roseanne knowing "Dan" was actually gone. That season finale twist was bad enough. Addiction is just awful and we lose way to many amazing people to it.
Love John Goodman, always have. Great actor. I don't think Johnny Galecki would ever come back, he's signed for two more seasons of the Big Bang Theory. Love Roseanne Barr too. She was great.
Anyone else notice when she lates right when they are about to sit on the couch, the music is the exact same as when the laugh would appear during the opening!? BRILLIANT! #bestshowever
I always loved this show it made problems you were going through kinda disappear for a while cause they had money problems they had the lights cut off they had bosses that were hated they had bratty kids and family that was hard to get along with it was kind of a comfort that someone else could relate to what you were living through everyday
Roseanne might be a loud mouth but she is still a funny comedian. and having the entire cast be reunited and sing the sitcom's theme song at the end of the show was very special. thanks for uploading this. and to Roseanne and her cast members we wish them the best of luck
AFTER WATCHING THIS AND SEEING THE SUPPOSED RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ROSANNE AND ALL OF THE CAST I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DID HER THE WAY THEY DID!!! I LOVE ROSEANNE!!! SHE'S AN AMAZING WOMAN 👠👠😍😍!!
Roseanne was that show that would be on, and playing in the background. It wasn't appreciated, until years later down the road. Then you realize how great the show was, when you see a rerun or something. This show snaps me back to a time, long long ago. I was an innocent kid, sporting a flat top, and full of life.
A little off there, Lou. This was a November-sweeps ratings stunt. The talk show was a hit in the beginning (this was two months into its run) but gradually the big-name guests dried up, the format changed, Roseanne got loopier and ratings plummeted.
They had to have been thinking of Roseanne when casting the Big Bang Theory. Johnny Galecki, Sara Gilberts, and Laurie are all in that show. It's amazing!
Regardless of the 2 "Beckys" you gotta have mad respect for Sarah Chalke to walk in to this top rated sitcom, with the "family" already created. Just imagine when you meet a person for the first time, how you feel, let alone joining the hype of a sitcom. . Definitely coming in new to meet the standards required for an existing character iS intimidating--Especially as a teenager!!! She played the part great. They both played it great. 👍🏼✌🏻
I loved Dan & Rosie.. The BEST... til the last couple of seasons. Shouldn't've left us with that Dan died.. :/ Awww... They have such sweet, genuine love for each other~
DEAN O. I cant reply to your comment for some reason, but if you see this, they are taping the show in the Apollo Theater and touching the stump is for "good luck".( One of the oldest traditions at the Apollo is the rubbing of the stump of the original “Tree of Hope,” a tall Elm “wishing tree” that once stood in front of Harlem’s Lafayette Theatre on 7th Avenue between 131st and 132nd streets. Much to the community’s disapproval, the tree was chopped down in 1934, but the stump was recovered and given a prominent home on the stage of the Apollo. Ever since, it has become a tradition by contestants performing in Amateur Night to rub the tree for good luck. )
omg i wish there was a tell all behind the scenes book about this show..i love the ROSEANNE show..and the only tv actor to make me cry like a baby other than Carroll O'Connor is John Goodman. love these 2 men so much.
Not the best sitcom of all times, but without even smallest doubt the most naturally gifted cast in history of sitcoms. They were simply perfect together and at times it was so easy to forget they were actors and none of it was real.
Yeah some people think it's the scripting that really sells it, but that's just a part of it, without amazing actors like them the show would have fallen and most likely never make it past the first season.
Liane Layman they must be makeing royalties from the show still I could be wrong but if that's the case that's crazy the last time I watched the show was ten years ago I was thirteen at the time so I didn't know about royalties but if their still making money from the show that's crazy
Roseanne was as famous in the '80s for tabloid scandals as she was for this excellent show. But this show was ground breaking in so many ways. One thing I always admired is that it portrayed a loving, highly-sexed relationship between married people who weighed more than 100 pounds. She also dealt with homosexuality in ways that were unheard of at that time. In fact, I think Roseanne's screen kiss with Muriel Hemingway might have been the first same-see kiss on network TV. Finally, while the entire ensemble cast is excellent, Sarah Gilbert is amazing from the time she is a very young girl.
This was just incredible. So beyond a show, this was a family reunion of nothing but love and laughs, with acceptance and inclusion for all. Lots to be learned here, especially in this ridiculously divisive world we all endure. Well done Roseanne!
Well apparently you could with a new time travel theory now. Only problem is the future stays the same so you can revisit but Roseanne will still be kicked from her own show no matter what still
The new show, The Connors” will NEVER be as successful as Roseanne. She is the show and it is not the same. I feel the Cast should of stuck together to bring her back. 👍🏼 Miss her so much so I only watch the re-runs!!! 🙏🏻❤️🌟✨
Love this show & watch the reruns. I think Roseanne was so much more fun to watch in the beginning years before her divorce to Tom Arnold. After that, you can tell she was not the happy camper & it showed in her acting.
My parents were young, my relatives were young, we were young. So much love in the family. Years went by so quickly, life just went by, everything gone, everybody is gone. Unhappiness, selfishness, greed, wealth, status and pride took over.
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this reunion video. For 42 minutes I was not thinking of anything else. The Roseanne show was one of the best on TV. I was sad when the last episode was shown, I continued to watch the repeats. I still do today, when I can find it. I even enjoyed it when they came back. Then after she was fired , I was disappointed about what happened, but The show will never be as good as the first 9 seasons it was on. I have tried liking the new shows "The Conners" I have only watched a few of these new shows, kinda of off and on. It will never be the same. I just can't wrap my head around the show without Roseanne.
Wow. Nice. I remember the part where Roseanne interviews Sara Gilbert. The swearing at times, monologue at times, audience laughter at times, etc. Cute at the end. Sara's red hair. Rosie gushing over how much Michael had grown. I remember reading online and hearing about the hair cut thing, how Sara and Sal didn't get along, etc. Mentioning their period.
Max Riddle funny you mention that cause they just announced that they are reving it with all the original cast members and it's premering with 8 episodes on ABC on 2018!!
Talk bout living, real living,.Nothing fake bout these guys,.Thats y I love them so..Down 2 earth, awesome actors..I have no idea where I was when this came out, but was working evenings probably y I miss it,.I'm so glad u got this Vinnie, thank-you so much,.
I love the part where Roseanne and Dan. Are in the bath room. Doing pot and all the sudden Jackie starts talking in the bath tub.Cracked me up .I still watch the reruns at night......
THAT was SO COOL! THANK you, Vinnie Rattolle!!!!!!! LOVEd that show, and LOVE that they continue to be SO CLOSE! T H A N K Y O U ! ! ! ! ! *THUMBS UP!!!!!* =D
This is my favorite show of all time.. Seen every episode at least 150 times each or more (Probably much more). I literally watch a minimum of 10 episodes a day..lol
AllPro777 they could have making the reunion in 2007 for their progress how the build the shown and making a documentary of the show, just like Beverly Hills 9010, ended in 2000 3 years later they making a reunion, it also soon, i cannot believe that they did it too soon
Yes but on the other hand you never know when people are going to die (Glenn Quinn's death in 2002 was a shock) so an early reunion guarantees everyone is available. … Except for Lecy Goranson, Johnny Golecky and Glenn Quinn who really should have been there. Seeing the two Beckys together is something everyone wanted to see.
