You're encouraging people to build post 1985 machineguns, which will get them put in prison, or get them killed. Conversely, yes you could legally buy a full auto lower, for $50,000+... I'm down with the message, but encouraging people to build post-85 MG's is irresponsible. You are going to get someone killed, or worse, you're going to get people to get into gunfights with law enforcement which will give the government the excuse to crackdown even harder. I agree, the NFA is an infringement, the GCA is and infringement, the ATF/FBI/Homeland Security, shouldn't exist. But you're doing a disservice to your own cause by encouraging people to build their own machine guns.

To them, I'd say I did. And earned a lot of scars along the way. People forget the fighting military is mainly made up of men and women that are from the south, mid west, flyover states. They wouldn't fight against us. They are us. Can't fight F22s? Can't fly them without them. And now more than ever we have multiple generations of combat vets. Vietnam to current. My house is 3 gens. Vietnam, Gulf War, Kosovo and 2 gens in the current. That's a lot of trained people that would fight on our side.

I built a similar setup, on paper, I'm still a poor, with an 18" and bianary. I call it the civi lmg. I think it's a great idea to have one at the ready.
Hey I'm the same way bud. I took Charlie concepts idea. I bought and pieced together the psa ks47 with 16in upper. Bought a couple 75rd ak drums and boom got me a decent suppression rifle with a 1x6 scope.
Seems something great to put green tip into it as well, cheap ammo that’s works good enough for most situations, ain’t the best but a hole will lead a goal

I was planning on cloning the M27 like the one I've used in the Marines, but after seeing this video I think I'm better off buying the same upper you have. It'll work great with my AR lower that has a binary trigger. Also, the production quality on this video is superb. You guys deserve more views!

the quick detach carbon fiber tripod is the meat and taters behind this whole build, utilizing it is what allows for the accuracy and utility advantage without the weight of the barrels that Klein is using. speaking more on that would be an interesting future video.
The Faxon Heavy Fluted used in this built is not that heavy. The fluting makes it more mid weight while still having the rigidity of a heavy profile. The fluting aids in heat dissipation as well. They're amazing barrels.
I love how standard m16s were 20 inches now not to far because of the appeal for shorter rifles and 16 inch carbines becoming more common than 20 inchers has set us up to create this squad oriented set ups allowed people like you to think out the box and create a new category of ar's great video amazing work by the way
Good video dude! Every point you hits home. Hope a lot of people watch it and let it sink in. M18s are handy and REECE rifles are practical, but the RPK type rifle has proven itself necessary. One could argue that multiple optics could throw this into a SPR role just as easy.

You should also have a flight lite Ares belt fed upper. Which also has the capability to switch to magazines. It would be a good addition if you have to do a vehicle mount.
A 24" upper from Klein Machining or a 20" from Red Right Hand LLC are, to my mind, the premier off the shelf options for this type of niche. The Klein gets you an absolutely tremendous barrel profile and RPK-style, barrel-mounted bipod to give excellent leverage and minute adjustment for laying enfilading fire or an extremely narrow beaten zone and the Red Right Hand upper's heat mitigation system for barrel and gas tube, as well as options for an outstanding adjustable gas blocks are both very, very appealing.
Perfect set-up for rpk/rpd. My only thing is the magpul drum, had 2, neither reliable but what better option us there really. I do have a 40rd gen3 pmag w/a Taran Tactical +5 baseplate for a total of 45 rds, so far so good on the reliability.
Good stuff, I e had this idea for a few years, finally built one similar... no third pin here but went with a 20 inch heavy barrel with a side charging upper and did a fixed rifle length stock setup with an extra heavy buffer and spring combo. I went with a bipod, weapon light and a red dot with d60s. Oh and cant forget, suppressed, man it shoots awesome. I do plan to hunt with it this year just because, but probably with a 10 to 20 round mag, no bipod or light. Just to keep it super simple and pretty lightweight for walkin around.
Carry it with everything. Practice with the full weight and when you need it you’ll be able to tuck it wherever you need to go :) hunting is a lot less stressful than SHTF or WROL. Might as well get the reps in now

I've been saying this for a while. Short AR's are awesome and they have their place, but a true fighting rifle needs to be capable of good results at range.

Had the conversation with a few coworkers last week about the importance of everyday citizens of this nation owning these items freely. Being in the military, I received the common response of "Well if they want to have those things they can just join up". Every time I hear this it breaks my heart. Its so sad to see "join up" get tossed. People dont seem to truly understand what this stuff is for. Never forget our founders werent soldiers fighting a foreign nation, they were citzens, some veterans, who took up weapons of war to fight their own military and usurp their government. He has superlative gas block and he basically tuned it that it's almost like he doesn't have suppressor on. Just keep it lubed don't worry about how dirty it is.
Google AR RPK 24 inch heavy barre with m60 bipod. There are some very good builds utilizing this concept. FWIW the binary trigger seems to pair well with it as well.

Great job !!!!! The only thing I would tell you as a machine Gunner is try 1-7 twist and a 5.56 chamber. That combo will not let you down. Also great barrel choice, a cryoed barrel is great for an MG.

if your going to be shooting a firing schedule like that than you need a chrome lined barrel. nitirided barrels get chewed up pretty quick once they get hot
