BoCo probably had nightmares about his brothers being scrapped, the Stanley apparition was probably Stanley’s ghost after the mines flooded, and I have no idea about the negative emotion aura. Maybe it has something to do with diesels?
The Percy swearing thing is actually something Awdry's wrote in his notes. As we all know, Mavis would give Toby and Percy headaches, and Percy called the quarry, "Blank, blank, blank mess." Also, Awdry wrote to a little boy who wondered why Henry had square "buff-buff-buffers". It was because He damaged them after smashing through a set of buffers at the end of a siding.
It says in People, History & Railways that Godred had his accident, was never replaced & eventually scrapped in 1900 so he did exist but Culdee made up the story of using his parts to mend the others
Here's the thing, if you look at the picture of Culdee and Godred beside each other, you can see that Culdee has a round dome and Godred has one that ends as a cube. However, in the stories that take place in 1964, Culdee now has a dome that ends as a cube. They did use his parts to mend the other engines...
@@jonistan9268 Nothing about the story was made up - in Wilbert's history book "The Island of Sodor: It's People, History And Railways" he states the entire story is true
the "electric engines are like worms" bit is from an interview. awdry had once said refering to the lact of electrics in his books is because they don't have personality. because the railway series is all about how steam engines have so much character, it wouldn't make sense to write stories about electrics, which don't really have personalities. they just quietly do the work assigned. almost as if they have "wormsouls". this could also explain why boco, bear, and pip and emma weren't fleshed out very much.
4:46 OK I’ve figured out what this entry is about. I don’t know if someone has said it already but: In the Payne version of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ on page 21, he drew Henry with rectangular buffers and a gold chimney cap. However, when Dalby re-illustrated the book, he drew Henry with round buffers and no gold chimney cap.
the stanley apparition is talking stanley's ( mid sodor engine #2 ) ghost. bc in the ios book, it is said that stanley was turned in to a generator, the sold to a mine as a generator again. But the mine flooded and stanley died
The IOS Book and Stanley Apparition are jokes,There's also Furness Railway Albert too, Boco disc eyes is a joke on how some people on the Thomas Fandom think that those are eyes when there just Headcodes
I think the Electric Engines Are Like Worms is a call-forward to multiple units. The Reverend predicted them. Also, does anyone notice that in The Missing Coach image, the Thomas with the horrifying face has black wheels, which hey, I’m not complaining, it looks quite nice.
The Rev.W. Awdry mentioned in an interview that Electric engines (particularly the ones from the London underground) are like worms, they live in holes, and you get the feeling that if you cut them in half, they wouldn't mind and they can grow another half.
The Stanley Apparition refers to how in Granpuff when Duke tells Stuart and Falcon about Stanley (referred to as No. 2) they had n idea who he was beforehand, implying that Stuart and Falcon had no prior knowledge of Stanley, but in the first illustration of Bulldog, Stanley before he was made into a generator is pictured right next to Duke and Falcon in the sheds. Many people consider this to be a ghost or lost soul of Stanley, which would've made him deceased before Bulldog.
4:28 In Book 2, henry is illustrated with square buffers. When Dalby touched up the illustrations, he replaced them with circular ones. Somehow, everyone still blames Dalby for square-buffers Henry. Also some of the things you didn't know are parodies of the Mario 64 iceberg (Tidmouth grand tour/Wet dry world negative emotional aura, Stanley/Wario apparition)
10:30 Technically two models of Albert were built. Albert Mk1 and Albert Mk2 are actually the same model only rebuilt from a Minitrains Baldwin 0-4-0ST to a Hughes Falcon class 0-4-2ST (like Sir Haydn, Sir Handel's basis).
Some more stuff I'll correct you on with this: 1. In Awdry's timetable of the Ffarquhar Branch, it's said that Percy calls Mavis' shunting "a _____, _____, _____ mess" 2. When Dalby redrew Payne's illustrations of Thomas the Tank Engine, he removed Henry's gold funnel cap and square buffers. However, these were already added to Henry in Tank Engine Thomas Again, leaving one illustration in said book where Henry has these features 3. I assume the electric engines being like worms refers to how the way their bogie wheels were fitted made them bend like worms on curves 4. The negative emotional aura is a joke relating to the Super Mario 64 iceberg 5. Godred's story was 100% true, Awdry just added Culdee making up the story so kids wouldn't be traumatised 6. Like Far-Ker, this is actually true, confirmed by Awdry in the IOS Book 7. The Crovan's Gate fire is mentioned somewhere, not sure where. Basically, in 1930, the works at Crovan's Gate had a small fire, which destroyed the documents of the first 6 engines, hence no one knowing their basises or how they arrived 8. Big Jim refers to how his model is quite oversized compared to Awdry's other MSR and SR engines 9. Once again, the Stanley Apparition and Sudric Runes are jokes from the Super Mario 64 iceberg 10. The Dalby Curse actually refers to how Awdry already had set basises in mind for every character he'd made when Dalby illustrated, but Dalby drew the illustrations so poorly that he screwed up almost every character's basis 11. Again, the personalised IOS book is just a Super Mario 64 iceberg joke about how every copy somehow has different information 12. Once again, the Ballast Spreader main character thing is another joke
I think I know what the Percy swears is about, apparently In Awdry’s layout it’s said that Percy calls mavis’s shunting a ___, ____,____,____ mess, no I’m not censoring it, it’s automatically censored like that, also I’m pretty sure the Stanley apparition is about how many Stanleys there are in the RWS
I think the Stanley apparition is referring to an illustration in the books, showing Falcon, Duke, and Stanley in the same shot. Stanley seems to be depressed and is slightly faded compared to Duke and Falcon. Stanley also should be at the back of the shed at this point.
Wait, arent crocodille engines creations by the swiss, yes they did go to germany and austria but i thinl think the went to brittain, i know a fakr bit about krokodil locomotives but im not 100 percent sure
You can kinda see how the conversation over cursed duck went down. A. "I wanted a 54xx not that [swear]" (this is what fat hatt said about henry (pre-rebuild)
I think the crovans gate fire of 1930 is this: On the 15th of July 1930 A lumberjack brought logs to crovans gate and while they were loading Donald's flatbeds another train hauled by James went by and sparks flew from his funnel and 5 sparks went on the logs and the wooden cart and caught fire and set the station on fire and the fire department came and put the fire out and 10 people died and 4 people got hurt and the station had to be rebuild in 1932. This is just my theory
I have a theory too, you see it wasnt a station fire but rather fire in the crovans gate works, so edward, percy and 2 ex W&S engines are in the works a fire happens due to faulty wires, percy and edward get out but almost all of their records/paper with info about them are lost, one W&S gets out but the other doesnt and the first W&S engine tries to get his friend out but they both perish in the fire, 5 workers the fireman of the first W&S and both of the W&S engines perished in the fire, and a memorial was made for then outside of the town of crovans gate.
It took me seeing the ballast machine illustration here to realise it has a face… I’ve never noticed before and I’ve had “the complete collection“ (the first 26) since I was a toddler.
@@TaillampStudios Aaa tysm!! For a bit of a tip the loud vocal bits which are funny are a bit too loud compared to your talking voice. I actually got spooked twice for how jarring it was.
I believe the "bullseyes are NOT super" entery refers to the alchohol in the candy The Stanley Aparition MIGHT refer to Stanley appering in Bulldog, but Falcon first hearing of him in Gradpuff, which cannonically takes place much later. Electric Engines are like worm could refer to how German Crocofdile Locomotives bend, like worms
The Tidmouth Grand Tour was a board game in the railway series surprise packet (which I’ve done a review on nudge nudge wink wink ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yviF2E5XvkA.html) as for the ‘negative emotional auras, I have no clue. 🤷🏼♂️
I have a theory about Wilbert's Douglas model: Douglas was an early WIP model before his passing, with Douglas or his tender being only painted without any extra decals
I know this is an annoying question, and sorry if it is, but what is that name of this music right here 5:47 Edit: I found it, the music at 5:47 is Rising Walls by Myuu
The stanley apparation I think is about a picture of a character called stanley sleeping in the shed even though he got turned into a pumping eninge. I dont know but I think im right.
The Crovan's gate fire is referring to the Fire that broke out in the Crovan's Gate Works in the 1930's which destroyed the case files for Thomas, Edward, and Henry.
My favorite revelation was the 80 engines part. I believe it's what led to both the tv show and fan series introducing dozens of original characters that never existed in the RWS.
The Stanley apparition is probably referring to the engine outline from Dunkin' gets spooked as smudger is the TVS equivalent to Stanley and smudger and Renee is looked awfully similar to the Firefly outline from Dunkin' gets spooked also the great fire of crovan's gate is a story of how something exploded in the workshop and it took a very long time to put the fire out in the end they had to rebuild the works from the ground up
The Great Crovans Gate Fire refers too a big fire at Crovans Gate which burned down over half the town and a part of the works I read that somwhere just don't know where
