The Sabres Zone - New Blood Will Prevail 

I'm guessing a blockbuster trade for a star. Someone who commands respect just walking into the dressing room. We have "too many" high level prospects. I'm also hoping for a trade up for Lindstrom. Who knows? Maybe Boon? My far out there prediction will be Draisaitl, assuming they are beaten out. Crazy? Not really. We have soooo much talent in junior, the A, the show and around the world. Leon said he is not taking a discount and they will need a change and some cap relief. I think KA is feeling some pressure and may surprise many. Plus, we have at least two players ready for the big club. I think this will be a VERY interesting off season. Good to see you, Wayne. Hope you're finally feeling back up to snuff!

Agree with you on negativity and the need to be right. It seems some people would rather be right on someone or something they don’t like even if it affects them personally. Just so they can say “I told ya so.”

I prefer GMKA adding a Chandler Stephenson from Vegas as a FA for our #3C needs. Keep a few roster spots open for the prospects to earn their spots.

I'm alot more invested in Buffalo for this coming year as my Coyotes have gone. (can't follow the Utah team) and as I'm currently in a house with an insufferably neurotic Canucks fan I really want playoff hockey I'm engaged in. Come on Sabres, don't make me regret this choice, I could choose Florida you know! 😋

you are right about negitive fans. all they say is they are going to lose. and then glout when it happens. I would rather believe we are going to win till proven worng. this is MY team win ot lose

Absolutely agree this is a new situation for "These kids". Ive got no issues with Lindy. My concern is Adams not getting it done this summer by making the moves we need to be a better and more complete team.

New coach will help. So will 4-5 new players who can play physical, protect the kids, and someone who can play defence.

People are forgetting that Kruger was the head coach in Edmonton for a year and half and that was the reason Taylor Hall signed here. Not that a liked either of those moves but Kruger had a decent record in Edmonton . Glad Adams brought back Lindy, now Adams needs to stick to his promise at the season end press coverage and bring in some veterans with more grit & abrasiveness. Big Question is , will Adams trade this summers first round pick to aquire some vets? Lets hope so. Cozens has looked good at the World Championships this month. He is one of the leading scorers and Power has looked good playing with Colton Parayko as his D partner. Maybe Adams can talk to St louis about trading for Parayko. 😊 Thanks for todays videos Wayne!

I wholeheartedly agree with you about being physical. The boys are a bunch of pushovers, we have so much talent, we need them to play with grit and make other teams fear what they’re going to do skill wise or physically.

The owners have dumped how many millions into the area & provided countless of jobs to the locals. Glad they came, even though I haven't lived there for almost 30 years.

Adams has one season here left. He either gets this team in now or he's gone. He's hired coach after coach and failed. Given an extension to a guy who had accompanied nothing, then fired him before that contact even began. At some point Terry will say enough of Adams costing him millions because of his mistakes in judgment.

a few things in Lindy's favor.. 1. He's done it before.. both here and hell, he has NJ in the playoffs last year... .. 2 This team was trying to finesse it's way in under granato.. fine for Minors and amatuer.. but at he NHL level... there is a ceiling and we've been watching it.. Lindy is new blood... he knows what' sneeded... 3.. Lindy was a roll player when he played.. he knows the need to bang it out. So can he get us to the playoffs... of that I have no doubt.. can he get us to a cup... I can't say one way or the other.. Many things have to come together for that to happen.... Coaching and the players are a big part.. but I've seen good teams sink simply because their IR suddenly started to look like the opening day roster...in the playoffs, that's not as umcommon as we'd like to think.

When I heard that (the Krueger promotion) I didnt have too much to say about it as it was new and if it had worked out, Botterill would have looked like a genius. And now thinking about how even the Sabres press said the Sabres didnt even practice with authority but just did whatever they wanted...was so bad. Tbh I am not 100% confident in Lindy in this new NHL. I need him to be mean to the players. I'm old school and I want the players to fear a loss due to bag skates if they do. I know that won't happen but its something to consider. Binnington is I think a mistake for Team Canada btw...yes I am super paying attention to Canada, Germany, Sweden. Dahlin is doing ok but so is Olofsson. They are really connecting on their plays.

Between UPL, JJP, Quinn, Byram & Levi needing new deals the Sabres will need every penny of their available cap space. Plus you might want to extend Tuch & even possibly R. Johnson in 2 years time. Keeping Jeff Skinner till the end of his deal will give the Sabres another $9mil in 3 years.

I'm on the fence about Kevyn Adams. I thought that he was A Decent GM, but, last year, in not doing much. I don't know if he was spooked by the fact all of those moves (Staal, Hall & others) didn't work out, but, I'm thinking that was because not firing Ralph Krueger when he'd had all of that Talent. Let me know what you think

In the mid 1990s Krueger was a successful hockey coach in Austria. Hockey, 1990s, Austria, that's a different sport! And he coached Rossi's father. That's why I thought we would draft him. I'm fine with Quinn though. Don't know what he did after until he ended up in Britain to be a "mental guru" for soccer players. What did Botteril think...
