Awesome rifle. I've had mine for about 5 months now and love it. Never had a failure. Easy to clean. Added BCM gunfighter vertical fore grip, red dot optic and a flashlight. Shot very well out of the box. Minimal sight adjustments. My favorite gun in my arsenal.
I just purchased the Springfield Armory Saint and I love it. I already put a 110 rounds through it and it was buttery smooth. No issues, no jams , just absolutely perfect.
The Saint pairs up really well with my Range Officer Champion. Everything I have ever purchased from Springfield Armory has been of the quality that conveys a confidence that I expect when it comes to protecting my own life, my family and those I am charged to keep from harms way every day.
I think everyone saying its "just another ar" "you're 10 years too late" etc... You have to respect that they made a high quality, accurate, very appealing ar, [like everyone else]... but for $900... bushmasters don't even go for that little anymore, a standard bushmaster is $1200
+Kyle Burrough where can I find actual accuracy verification from someone that wasnt paid to do a video or write an article? I havent seen anything that shows accuracy of this gun as of yet.
SHWELL11 tried to find one myself and nothing out there yet. Just a bunch of promotional videos and oooh look what I bought let's open it. I want to see a accuracy and reliability test that's a individual who actually owns one. Or at least someone who is not going to give a biased review.
I just purchased one from BudsGunShop.com for $760.00. Put a Vortex Viper 1x4 scope on top and they both come with a lifetime warranty. First day at the range ran 200 rounds through it and had a blast! No problems at all right out of the box.
I don't know how much stock each of may put on this, but the Saint has a mid length gas tube with their 16" barrel. Little softer recoil (yep, no big thing) and maybe pick up some additional range w/ heavier lead. However, you won't be able to launch grenades anymore .....
rednecklowlife 500 is a lot. But if I'm building my AR it's going to be like if I were to build a computer. I could buy one for 900 dollars or I could build one of that quality for cheaper or I could spend 900 dollars and build a much better product
I guess Rob's sample didn't have the handguard melt during rapid fire as some other gun mags have found. Does SA actually make guns anymore or just import them from Asia and Serbia?
I was at the range when the handguard meltdown occurred... it was shenanigans, during the fun-with-guns session at the finale of a press event. To say that the gun was shot unreasonably fast for an extended amount of time would be fair. At one point, I did suggest maybe they slow down and at least pretend to aim....
Hahaha! I guess I didn't know the context of the meltdown. Sounds like it was "user error" and not a problem with the handguard. As I get to reading it sounds like BCM made it- their stuff is solid and I use it on my own AR.
I've noticed that too. I rented one a few months ago. I thought it was SMOOTH (thanks midlength gas system and trigger) shooting, more accurate than I can shoot, and lightweight. I recommend it. The only thing I'd change is the handguard.
Must be a paid advertisment video, guess one has to have that too. Some say it's too late to the market. That makes no sense especially if you never owned one before. That means one is now in the market to buy. Who cares what was out 10 years ago. Don't mean nothing to someone NOW in the market. Plus, advertising hype is necessary to get the people excited about a product. I don't think anyone else would do it differently if they were running the marketing. Get a grip people.
Yes as the standard parts in this rifle are what most people who buy other brands always upgrade too Anyway. I love mine and am one of those who bought other brands "budget" rifles only to upgrade later Costing more than these out of the box.
Meh, I was halfway excited until I handled one. Loose handguard, "rebranded gen 2 UTG rear buis I broke handling. Springfield must r and d, people are building this rifle for half as much. Love BCM stuff but this one needs some more TLC.
as much as I love guns and AR15d Springfield Armory is a little bit too late to the game especially being near election time. the market is very saturated with AR15s so basically Springfield slapped some BCM accessorieson it and a fancy roll mark on the Magwell and slapped a price tag on it. there's nothing revolutionary about it it doesn't separate itself from the rest of the AR15s on the market. would have loved to seen a new handgun
I believe this rifle is over rated. I have seen several reviews where they have had one or more failures. One comparison I watched the gentleman tested the Saint, Ruger AR 556 and a S&W sport II. The Saint came in last.
JIM ECKENRODE I own several AR`s one being a colt le6920 and bought the Saint a year ago I would suggest no recommend You try this rifle and see for yourself. It shoots and ranks high along with my colt Mine has 2100 rds to date With both brass and steel case ammo and no fails. Only issue I had was when picking it up at my FFL the chamber Flag could not be pulled out and we had to run cleaning rod down barrel to push it out
Jeff Allen retailed is retailed..... its not manucturer's suggested retail price....and in fact one store here in los angeles is now taking reservations for $899......conratulations if it is available for 700ish in your area
Jeff Allen so why you say NOBODY PAYS RETAIL.....that only shows how narrow minded you are....talking about somethin you dont really know.....yes because of the stricts rules here in california, there are times we pay even more than the msrp.....so dont ever say again nobody pays msrp...you MORON
I saw several "standard ar's" for about $699 some like the sporter cheaper. This one does look a little different but im not aware of what these bcm components cost to know if its worth the extra $200.
Congratulations, SA. You have surpassed Ruger in the overhyped, yet unimpressive product introduction category. Maybe your next great marketing campaign can center around a medium-frame revolver in .357Mag.....no one's ever done that before.....
well i have had a few ar15 in my time from colt to bushmaster armalight psa stag arms no i have my bcm and i also have a saint. shoots just the same as the bcm just as reliable in my op. in my op an ar15 is an ar15 they all shoot the same they all do the same thing. you just have the snobs out there that worry about the name brand. they all the same all shoot the same. yeah you might have some bad eggs that with every company.
while I have no problem with a new AR or Springfield they should have made it more aesthetically pleasing.. i.e. no A2 front sight and a better more functional hand guard...
