I know the locust are humanoid hybrids. But the hunter is the most animalistic looking locust I’ve ever seen. It look likes it would devour its human victims.

these guys would've been perfect during Lambent Firefights levels. Savage Locusts scouts that are insane enough to hunt humans despite the dangers of turning lambent without Savage numbers.

Honestly a gear’s campaign idea would be to have the story either around the palace guards and defending certain area’s of the Nexus or the savage locust and what they all did during the lapse between gears 2 and 3

Really wish we had these guys and the Savage kantus and the Savage grenadier elites in the campaign rather than just multiplayer plus hunters are better than swarm hunters change my mind👍

I like them better on design but we never see the hunters on any of the games besides multiplayer

They didn't exist at the time... but if a Savage Locust were to be facing off against Marcus in the Gears of War E-Day trailer.. Marcus would have gotten absolutely shredded apart as opposed to the normal Locust Drone who still has incredible strength and almost killed him

Why couldn't they make the Hunters lead Wretches? They could even make them attack you from behind and ambush you. Maybe give them Longshots, or Torque Bows or something. That'd be a cool concept for "E-Day."

U know what I just realized upon closer inspection.. I think the fangs both her bottom and top are just a mask I thought it was their actual teeth .. I say this because they appear to have a second smaller row of bottom teeth.

I only found out recently those teeth are from an animal mask. I always wondered why they had teeth like that after going Savage. Like they were evolved or something lol

What are the Savage hunters supposed to be subrace wise? They sound like a drone but my guess is that they’re a Theron based on the head size and shape. I wish we could’ve gotten more clearly defined subraces and why some locust look so unique to the rest.

Call me crazy but I don't think savage locust actually have fangs or teeth like that, look like they've used kantus skulls/Jawbones as mask or mouth guards. Can see another set of teeth behind fangs 🤷

Drones eventually turn into Therons if they live that long, but the Savage Hunter doesn't sound like a Theron, and the fangs seem like part of the mask
