One of Benavidez's strengths that i never hear anyone mention is the way he turtles up behind his gloves and soaks up all the punches. His hands are so long that he can protect his face completely while still protecting his liver and body. He just stands in front of his opponent with his guard up, and they are unable to hurt him.

Definitely one of my favorite fighters to watch I love the sweet science but there’s something about all out brutality that makes the sport that much more fun to watch and participate in.

I still remember back in like 2010-2011 training in central boxing club in Phoenix, AZ seeing David Benavidez weigh damn near 300lbs at like 13 years old😂 he was MASSIVE

Humble, has grit, moves around, elusive and despite his size, very quick and intelligent and seems like a very respectful champ. He deserves everything, he earned it. Love to see it

This is one of the best productions on the internet or tv. The way you build tension with the clips and narrative... That said, Benavidez literally is that stereotypical Mexican gangster. Ruthless. Quietly confident. Almost zero emotions or expression in his face. All the ingredients for the scariest assassin. He'd be a great movie character/actor.

The thing about benevidez is he might not have the one punch ko power but all his punches are stronger then other boxers regular punches. So your always getting hit with significant strikes. That's why he batters these guys. And since it's not enough to do they just keep getting battered until ref or corner stops the fight. Also his Defense is underrated. He damn near sees every shot and blocks accordingly

Benavidez vs a prime GGG would have been one of the greatest matches of all time. 😭😭

Canelo has more power and better defense, he is the master of walking his opponents down, those that beat him did it by staying at range and limiting his counter opportunities, Benavidez won't be able to do either of those things against Canelo. He will try to walk Canelo down and will sooner or later end up walking into a counter that will hurt him more than he's ever felt, and I doubt he'll have a plan B after that. That's assuming he even gets through Andrade, I doubt it will be as easy of a fight as most of his fans are making it out to be.

Benavidez is a bad ass fighter , but after watching him against Caleb Plant I feel he won't be able to take Canelo, remember Benavidez said he was going to destroy Plant.
