I paid a visit to The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond for their Annual Open Weekend. 2010 saw The SVBM celebrate their 25th anniversary. Along with a large amount of static vehicles a variety of Classic Buses provided a free service around the site at regular intervals and a service ran to Dunfermline. A fantastic event held in beautiful weather, with my only disappointment being no Tayside Ailsa attended. Oh well I'll just have to attend the next event.

I love the shots of the prototype Ailsas, also the picture and sound quality is very good!

Loved the ailsas, we had them at Cardiff Bus in the '90's. Because of the front engine they were a bit hot for us drivers in summer but great in winter. The gear whine on some of them was deafening. For some reason, some of them used to make a loud clanking sound, deep in the engine.

Thanks Shel, It was a great event, made all the more pleasant with good weather. Sorry to disappoint you but Rab C was away to get a bottle of Irn Bru.

It was a great Event, First time I have been to it and I will certainly go back again. Even with me living in England they allow me into Scotland now and again to stock up with good healthy foods like Whisky, Irn-Bru and deep fried mars bars ( Yuk ).

@mollsmyre Yes, WTS273T had passed its MOT in preparation for the rally just days prior, but actually broke down with a faulty fuel line on the way back from the MOT!

Looked like a very good event, I liked that little Caledonian bus, I hope none of the passengers on it had been eating baked beans though. Thought you'd been banished from Scotland and ordered not to show your face north of the border again Tommy?:-)

My Father was asking if he could possibly get a Copy of this as My copy was not 100 percent perfect and you seem to have got more interesting stuff than i got.Could you possibly put it on to a dvd for him please.Yours sincerly Thescotlandforever.
