Last week I did a video on cool rooms in bonelab and how to find them, so here’s more! This time, I took recommendations from the comments, as well as just my own personal exploration of the game. Hope you enjoy!
The room behind the boxes is just a little easter egg. In the room jimmy talks about how the assasin avatar was his first avatar and thats why he says he "Has a soft spot" for the avatar.
fun fact for the museum basement! you can find a clipboard with a message on it telling the player it is sentient and longing for death (this is a reference to the clipboard you grab at the beginning of boneworks which had a similar message). if you carry the clipboard to the monogon trash handlers disposal and throw it in, you get a secret achievement! even more layers to an already awesome secret area.
I thought that clip board seemed familiar, but the achievement bit is pretty neat, I'll go get it for sure now since I wanna 100% the game before moding it.
1:16 you can still actually get stuck on the ride if it goes uphill and your character is too heavy. I learned this the hard way after forgetting to switch off of an Adam Smasher avatar and making it like 75% of the way through to ride just to go backwards at the part with the large boulder next to the tracks
I don't know if anyone said it but in the Drop Pit Tac-Trial map, when you enter the pistol section, there's a vent at the beginning to the left of the first enemy on a ledge on the wall. When you enter the vent you can unlock the silenced pistol and right next to it there's another vent, if you enter it you can find a replica of the start of the second level from GoldenEye 007 (N64). Exiting it, there's a door blocked by a key which I haven't seen anywhere on the map. UPDATE: the door blocked by a key led to a previous part of the course.
I found 2 different ones. 1. Secret bathroom In the level Big analogy go to the room where you get a key and a crablet jump scares you where you see the Uzi there's a Key card up on the vending machine and that is used for the room down the hall. Open the door and then go right so you see the Bathroom 2. Lab room Turns out that key card he threw was actually useful for a door where you get the shotgun. Kill the Omni dudes and then go in the vent then the first door in the hall is the one. Go to the area he showed in the video (aka sewage room) And get the keycard then go back to the area where the door was. Hope this helped!
Im pretty sure the room that says on air is a reference to the Truman show. In Tuscany if you go to the border you will find a door which is also a reference to the Truman show. It isn’t finished yet but people have found a way the load the map behind the door. Also congrats on 2k I’m your exact 2k subscriber. Alsoooo in the lab there are vents that just lead to other places in the lab maybe with the nimbus gun you can find something.
The exit doors on MineDive actually have hallway level chunks attached to a one of them so I think it was meant to be a pretty large easter egg and maybe got scrapped due to time constraints. The level chunk that I found is a long snaking hallway but not set to load within the level anywhere.
the on air sign in the void is actually an object that shows up during the cutscene where you get sucked into the void. you can look up right from the front of the cart to see it as you fly by it
On the why room, you can get in without a nimbus gun by turning your body to the side, and trying to squeeze through while turning at the same time. This trick works in a lot of spots
The second one was a reference to boneworks!! In streets if you go down the stairs instead of up i think, i dont remember if its the right level but there is a room just like the 2nd one in boneworks!!
You can actually use the keycards you find on the very first exit room on the begining of the dive level and some of those keycards have avatars instead of real people so people believe that the door will unlock a special avatar when you unlock the door with the keycard
I believe the exit doors may be where we go to use the keycards at some point in the future, as turdsnack was able to load some disabled assets and find a card reader by one of them
The museum basement secret is from boneworks, At the gift shop you can see a see-through thing but you cant go through it, Remember the bright room where theres like 4-5 omni combines? Yeah thats what you see from that seethrough thing, In bonelab that place is closed, The area is at 2:38
I've just completed bonelab campaign and I've managed to use every keycard I've come across, usually just leads to a small room with a clipboard, around 12 of them
The in the hidden area in the museum basement you can see a quarantine door which has the end of the museum level in Boneworks on the other side! (In lore it does but there is nothing there with the nimbus gun if you no-clip.
I think the exit doors are to create a good atmosphere since the story is that it’s a simulation and there are workers I think the exits are for the “workers”
The "Why?" Room doesnt require a nimbus gun. The Light avatar is skinny enough to fit through, so if you replay the level after unlocking every character she can just sqeeze in. Im 99% sure that is the intended way of getting in there, and maybe it was where you would go instead of talking to Jimmy in the same place in early development.
0:36 also this area at the bottom of the stairs could be a reference to half life with the crablet resembling a stable creature from the game known as a headcrab which will try to jump on your head and turn you into a zombie and a crowbar as the stable weapon from the game. No idea what the room behind the boxes is supposed to be
in that facility in the playground...there is a clipboard, which states to be concious, and wants to be incinerated. Guess what? there is an incinerater hole-thingy... but nothing has happened -.-'
"Theses keycards are not finished yet" i remember that i actually knew how to use them at the game launche and so many ppl TO THIS DAY doesn't even know how to use them 💀💀 Im very temped to do some tutorials
I think I was the first to find the hidden mine dive room, the first hidden staff only door with the Get out text on the monitor. It’s on my account for proof. I know no one asked but it makes me feel accomplished so silence
I found another pretty cool one, if you go to the sandbox “Tuscany” map, and fly out of the backyard, over the water to the border, you can find a little homage to the Truman show, with an invisible stair case and door leading outside the border.
Not a room but a secret nonethe less if you have a unity explore in the hub room then look through all the number things when you find environments tick The hollow chamber box
Check out museum basement and go to the castle to grab a battery; go to spawn and insert the battery holder in the area. You will enter a strange underground facility area. There are other secret rooms within the facility. *PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT*
I think those are not implemented yet so they may become after some patch. I think in tuscany level there is room other side of that keyed door but it's not enabled. You need low level mods that allows you to change gameobject states from scene to enable that. Or you need to do something special before using key card that is in that level.
btw the mine dive rooms can be opened with the 2 dev cards on the lvl but you need to use the melon loader mod to activate the dev cards in 1 room theres a big controller panel and the other one i forgot
